Positive and negative sides of the Opel Mokka. Disadvantages that you should pay attention to before buying a used Opel Mokka How often does an Opel Mokka break down

The main positive feature of the new crossover is the price. Compared to competitors, it is significantly lower. Plus advanced electronics, which has in its repertoire many functions and systems to assist movement and control. The on-board computer is also multifunctional. Comfort is also pleasing, you just have to look at the photo of the cabin in the Enjoy configuration. If we talk about space, then here you will be pleasantly surprised. Though Opel Mokka compact car, it can easily accommodate 5 people, and everyone feels comfortable and convenient. Add to all this exclusive options and economical engines with low fuel consumption - about 7-8 liters on average per 100 km in mixed mode. Well, the last thing is the design, the car looks very nice.

Opel Mokka also has disadvantages, the car is certainly not perfect. Well, it’s worth mentioning the engines, we have petrol available: turbocharged 1.4 liters and regular 1.8 liters. One is also available diesel engine for 1.7 liters. But it is well known that Opel has much more interesting engines that the buyer might like. Not the biggest trunk and another unpleasant feature: a noisy diesel engine. Another not unimportant minus is the front lip of the Opel Mokka, it is quite underestimated.

We see that the positive is much more than the negative. But, again, everyone decides for himself.

    Turbo car front-wheel drive 1.4, mileage 26000 engine DEAD!!! The engine and directional stability sensors caught fire, the compression in 2 cylinders of the coil dropped ... The car was operated only in urban mode. In general, a good car, but is such a smut needed ?! Still under warranty, but the service center is thinking how to do it .. There are no replacement cars !!

    Bought a 1.4 turbo front wheel drive. In August, with a run of 2700 km, we drove through the whole of Kazakhstan (MRAK roads) to Kyrgyzstan, to Lake Issyk-Kul. In short, there and back 9500 km. A couple of times the Kakhahs fell into serious pits. If only henna ... Suspension is super, nothing and never. Comfortable, economical, well-managed machine. I drive a Mercedes e-class, I thought that I would not feel so comfortable in Opel. In short, the machine is class! Take it, no doubt.

    Ha, diesel noisy? What nonsense! The A17DTS (Diesel) is quieter than the D18FA (A19XER clone), at least while driving. The diesel engine may growl a little at ultra-low speeds of 800-1000 if you put the gas on the pedal, but after 1100 rpm it is no longer audible (from the passenger compartment).

    Do not under any circumstances buy a car from an Armand dealer. Manager Viktor, salon in Vladykino, confronted the fact that I will pick up the car without a TCP when I brought cash. TCP promised to transfer in 2 days. When asked how I would drive without a TCP, Victor said that I would have a purchase and sale agreement ... As a result, they charged me 20 % of the initial deposit. Complete divorce. Also, the bosses go home in test drive cars during the working hours of the salon.

    In all-wheel drive versions of Mokka, a 4x4 nameplate is attached to the tailgate, which misleads people. Must be AWD.

    bought on May 26, 2013, cosmo equipment, mileage 10500, problems were identified: the right headlight did not work 8 times, it was reflashed, it was replaced on the 9th under warranty, at the first MOT, it turned out that oil was not added in the rear axle, antifreeze and brake fluid. Refer to the manufacturer. Be sure to check. Chrome began to peel off on the foglights, changed under warranty, the disease was identified, the problem of the chrome edging falls off, weak clamps. Low front skirt, catches everything. I don't recommend driving on gravel. :cry:

    People! Everyone who has a 1800 engine has a problem with the power steering. In winter, there is a possibility of breakage of the plastic pipe (breaks off from the housing) on the pump housing, as a result of which fluid flows out and the power steering stops working. Cases are not isolated - it's under the GUARANTEE !!! I know, I worked at the reception in the service station DC Opel. Quoting Resed:

    Addition. Mocha is already in the North. Minus 52 degrees, behaves with dignity. I put the climate control on 18, since my wife is hot (after the tag). But there is a minus for mechanics in cold weather.

    Bought from OD in Moscow - Cosmo, mechanic. Drove half of Russia to Krasnoyarsk, then to Kazakhstan and back to Krasnoyarsk. No problem. Couldn't be happier. For two weeks 10t.km. Class. Overtook Mokka to the North. Autumn, snowstorm, snowdrifts. Skidded, as much snow flew on the roof. Already 11600 km., I don’t know any problems.

    I bought Mokka on December 7, during this time I dashed off 10,000 km, I’m very satisfied, the price for this configuration is Enjoy, it’s just a gift !! pleasant, but in general there are so many useful and, as it turned out, so necessary in this car that the price-quality ratio is probably very difficult to overestimate and find something like that !!! There were some hiccups in the beginning. automatic switching near-far, but somehow it resolved itself, but in general I am very satisfied, considering that before this year I skated on a Nissan Tiida, where many stocks were revealed, Mokka-class !!! :P:P:lol:

Owner reviews

In general, the car is good, holds the road, is stable, I like the design. My car has driven 37,000 km and… let me down!!! On the way from Moscow to Belgorod, I stopped for tea, turned off the engine, and it would not start again. The display reads "Low Engine Power"! Brought home on a tow truck, and now the repair is to be done.

It is also impossible not to note the uncomfortable driver's seat - the side "wings" on the seat are not completely missed and crushed.

Sergey Kucherenko, review about Opel Mokka 1.7 diesel (130 hp) AT 4WD 2014

Video review

The machine is not bad, but some kind of STUPID: it is impossible to disperse from a place, if necessary. At first she slows down, and then, THOUGHT, she enters the mode. Therefore, if on my husband’s X-Trail I easily bypass the tail of the cars and easily fit back into the stream without fear of NOT TIME to change lanes, then here you will think 10 times before deciding to overtake.

In general, Mokka handles well, easily passes all turns on any road. At first I was afraid of this so-called INTELLIGENT all-wheel drive: the devil knows, when it turns on, there is no information on the scoreboard. But, it seems, the snowy roads pass decently at the dacha, however, it was not necessary to get out of the pits.

Comfortable fit, although the seat adjustment is uncomfortable. A lot of space, the satellite on the right does not interfere. Very good forward visibility: due to the strong sloping of the front of the machine, it seems that you begin to see the road directly from the front glass.

Very high flow gasoline. I have considerable driving experience, I know how to drive economically. On the same X-Trail, my consumption is on average 1.0-1.5 liters less, although the car is noticeably more powerful.

Arina Kovaleva, review of Opel Mokka 1.8 (140 hp) AT 4WD 2013

At the moment, I own a car for 3 months, mileage 3,000 km. I will compare Mokka with the previous Seed and the parent Mokka 1.8.

Engine: we live in a small town, you can’t always accelerate to 60 km / h, so it’s hard to say about consumption. When I go to the regional center (Volgograd), then in traffic jams there it turns out 12-13 liters with a Conder, if there are more or less on the roads, then if you wish, you can meet the top ten.

On the highway at a speed of 100-110 km / h shows 6.5-7.5 liters. In terms of consumption on the parent 1.8, it’s hard to say for sure, I don’t drive much on it. I spotted it only once, when I drove a car from the passenger compartment along the highway. At 100 km / h, Mokka with a 1.8-liter engine ate an average of 8.5 liters. The dynamics of the 1.4 is noticeably better, especially felt on the track.

The machine switches smoothly, without noticeable jerks. With active driving, it sometimes dulls, especially when going down. With serious overtaking, when there is a long line of trucks, cars and an oncoming traffic in a dense stream, you have to switch to manual mode. The location of the gear shift button is inconvenient.

Suspension. Suspension moderately hard, does not shake the soul. When you load the rear, then a slight buildup of the stern on the waves begins on the track. Of course, Mokka is far from the buildup of Solaris, but still not very comfortable. There was never a breakdown of shock absorbers.

Salon. The width is already Sid's unequivocally. Behind the three of us is very crowded, you can’t go far. Similar in size to Solaris. My height is 183 cm, I sit down behind myself perfectly, there is a lot of legroom in the back seat. Above the head is also enough.

Review of Opel Mokka 1.4 (140 hp) with automatic 2013

Appearance. Well, here the taste and color, to each his own. I like. The color white was also taken deliberately - it seems to me that it is more suitable for this car.

Engine and automatic transmission. Mileage is now 1,700 km, fuel consumption in a city with moderate traffic jams is 12 liters per 100 km. According to the BC, it can be seen that the consumption is falling, since in the first hundred it was 17 liters per 100 km. I like the operation of the engine and automatic transmission as a pair, but I drive calmly, measuredly. I don’t press the gas to the floor, I don’t scoff at the car. With this driving style, there is a confident feeling that the power reserve is enough.

Salon. Here, of course, GM well done. Everything is convenient, everything is at hand. Landing is adjustable for any wish (you want lower, you want high). The seats are comfortable, even for me (height 188 cm, weight 120 kg). With all my dimensions, I really feel comfortable. Behind me rides a son with a height of 180 cm and also does not feel inconvenience.

Suspension. Again, for an amateur. I would like a little softer, but then you need to put the 16th wheels, and appearance no desire to change. But the car is good on the go, it doesn’t fall in corners, the bumps in the road pass well. I have not yet felt the four-wheel drive, but its device is the same as on Antara, which means I have enough.

Ergonomics. The climate works without glitches and performs its functions perfectly. Everything is at hand and is exactly where you expect. On-board computer - you need to figure it out, while this is not necessary. The stock audio system is enough for me.

The review is great. I love a high seating position, so the seat is set high. The stands don't really bother me. But it’s not very convenient to look back (small rear window), but here the experience of driving different cars helps, after all, 23 years of experience.

The owner drives a 2014 Opel Mokka 1.8 (140 HP) AT 4WD.

For three years, we dashed off 80,000 km on the roads of Russia: from Karelia to Baikal. It's okay for now. All MOT passed. There are almost no problems. Rolls well, stable (even in winter) and dynamic. Great car for trips across the expanses of Russia. And also quite economical. On the highway 8 liters per hundred at 140 km / h.

The interior is warm and well ventilated. Headlights are normal, well regulated. Interior lighting and illumination of instruments and buttons are sufficient. Six speakers are more than enough for a small body. The seats are comfortable for any size, heating is pleasant and necessary for the cold weather of the Urals. Starts in any frost, though I have auto-heating.

There are also disadvantages, namely: fabric door trim (they get dirty), a low-hanging front bumper (there were problems on Olkhon Island on Baikal) and weak protection under the front bumper, which has already burst from falling stones and hitting a hard crust. The car is clearly designed for a normal road.

The trunk is small, but there are many different pockets and compartments for small things. In the first autumn, when warming up, the windshield cracked.

Review of Opel Mokka 1.8 (140 hp) with mechanics in 2014

Opel Mokka - pretty compact crossover, equipped with a large number of all kinds of electronics. The fuel consumption of the crossover is 11-12 liters per 100 km. To decide whether to buy such a car, you need to find out what are the flaws and shortcomings of the Opel Mokka 2012.

Specifications

  • Engines: gasoline - 1.8 MT (140 hp), 1.8 AT (140 hp), 1.4 MT (140 hp), diesel - 1.7 l (130 hp) );
  • Transmission: 5- and 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic;
  • Drive: full, forward;
  • Maximum speed: 180, 195 km/h;
  • Acceleration to 100 km / h: 9.8 - 11.1 seconds;
  • Fuel consumption: in the city - 8-10.7 liters, on the highway - 5.5-6.3 liters per 100 km;
  • Volume fuel tank: 54 l.

Advantages and benefits of Opel Mokka

  1. Comfortable interior with many functions;
  2. Beautiful stylish body and interior design;
  3. Controllability;
  4. Good traction dynamics of the engine;
  5. Ergonomics;
  6. Four-wheel drive;
  7. Reliable manual transmission;
  8. Affordable price;
  9. Low fuel consumption;
  10. Inexpensive service.

Weaknesses of the Opel Mokka:

  • Salon;
  • Hydraulic power steering;
  • Paintwork, chrome;
  • Pens;
  • Engine;
  • Windshield.

Salon - the weak link of the car. The quality of finishing materials is quite low. Scratches quickly appear on the plastic, the skin on the steering wheel peels off after a few years, the gear lever becomes loose and steering column. If the driver's weight exceeds 90 kg, then over time the seat cushion will sag. Many complain about the formation of condensate in the upper part of the machine.

There are also shortcomings in electrical equipment. Often, with a run of 100 thousand km, there are problems with the operation of the heater motor, a backlash appears. The light sensor located on the rear-view mirrors malfunctions. A video recorder installed nearby has a negative effect on him.

The weak point of the air conditioner is the compressor bearings. During operation, they make a strange sound. To fix the problem, you need to reflash the instrument panel.

The node is quite reliable, but still has sores. Yes, he doesn't take it well. very coldy. This is due to its unfortunate location. The liquid in the assembly practically does not warm up, which leads to rapid wear of the pump, and the rail begins to flow. Steering wheel adjustment sensors are malfunctioning.

Paintwork, chrome, handles.

The paint is unstable, scratches and chips quickly appear on it. Short-lived and chrome parts. If we talk about the weak points of the Opel Mokka with mileage, we must also mention the rapid appearance of rust on the suspension elements and engine compartment mounts, which a used car may no longer have. best condition. The handles on the car doors are quite frail, they can even break if you apply too much force.

A fairly common sore of this crossover is the failure of the phase shifters. This is usually due to the use of low quality engine oil or its irregular replacement. Be sure to pay attention to the operation of the engine before buying a used car, otherwise repairs may soon be needed. Advice to all drivers: don't skimp on fuel with this car, it will only cost more.

Windshield.

The windshield of the crossover is also not famous for its reliability. It is weak and cracks easily.

The main disadvantages of the Opel Mokka:

  • Uncomfortable armrests.
  • Poor visibility and distortion.
  • Too low front lip.
  • Incorrect operation of the machine.
  • Small trunk.

Uncomfortable armrests

The first drawback that drivers may notice when sitting behind the wheel is the inability to comfortably position their elbows. Some owners this car complain about this inconvenience - the left hand can be placed either too high or too low, and the armrest under right hand there is only for the driver - the passenger has nowhere to put his left hand. But this shortcoming is quite controversial, it can rather be called a matter of habit.

Poor visibility and distortion

Distortion and poor visibility is another problem that you can get used to over time, however, at first, it can be very annoying. The "picture" is distorted by the shape of the glasses. Another big problem is visibility. The interference on the right and behind is very poorly visible due to rear pillar blocking visibility. The interference sensor in the dead zone, which is present in the complete set of the car, can save the situation.

Too low front lip

Serious difficulties may arise in the parking of this car. The front lip on the bumper is too low - even a low curb can become an obstacle. Such a small gap under the bumper also has a bad effect on patency.

Incorrect operation of the machine, trunk

The machine periodically changes gear too abruptly or inappropriately. This usually happens with a "peppy" ride and complex maneuvers. In the mode of a quiet trip, the machine copes with its task. A small trunk can also be a significant drawback in the operation of this car.

Let's summarize.

This machine, like any other, has its pros and cons. This car model was designed for a quiet ride in the city and for this it is quite suitable. With a "caring" attitude for trips from work to home, it will serve for a long time and reliably. If you are interested in high power, endurance and cross-country ability of a car, this Opel is not suitable.

Frequent breakdowns, advantages and weak spots Opel Mokka was last modified: November 20th, 2018 by Administrator

The beginning of the second decade of the XXI was marked by a rapid growth in the popularity of crossovers, which one by one captured new price and size categories. The appearance in 2010 of a subcompact Nissan Juke, which, despite all its outrageousness, quickly began to earn market points, made many European companies take countermeasures. They didn't take long, and I headlined my report from the 2013 Geneva Motor Show "Junior Fight Expected." Indeed, on the catwalks of one of the main car dealerships of the planet flaunted Renault Captur(not ours, but European), Peugeot 2008, European version Ford EcoSport, the worldwide Chevrolet Tracker and the new Suzuki SX4. But still, the first such retaliatory strike was the Opel Mokka, the premiere of which took place all in the same Geneva, but a year earlier. Almost simultaneously, the Mokka's twin brother Buick Encore entered the American market, but in England the car went on sale as the Vauxhall Mokka.

Many publications state that small crossover built on the basis Opel Corsa. This is not entirely true: the Corsa D, which was mass-produced at that time, was created on the GM Gamma I platform, and the GM Gamma II served as the basis for the Mokka. However, a certain relationship between Corsa and Mokka is still traceable. Firstly, the division of GM Korea (GM Daewoo), which was entrusted with all the design work on the compact platform, did not do it from scratch, but starting from the same Gamma I. And secondly, Mokka and Corsa have many common design solutions.

For Europe, GM engineers have prepared a fairly wide range of engines, despite the fact that the Gamma II platform implies the use of exclusively in-line fours. They were three gasoline engines - turbocharged A14NET (1.4 liters, 140 hp), atmospheric A16XER (1.6 liter, 115 hp) and A18XER (1.8 liter, 140 hp) - and diesel A17DTS from the EcoFlex family (1.7 l, 130 hp, 300 Nm). They could be paired with 5- or 6-speed manual gearboxes or a 6-speed HydraMatic 6T40 automatic. Drive - front or full, with an automatically connected rear axle. In Russia, where sales of new items began almost earlier than in other European countries, at first only 1.8-liter aspirated engines, a 1.4-liter turbo engine and a 1.7-liter diesel engine were supplied.

About what GM thought Russian market very promising, says the fact that already in 2012, the assembly of Mokka was organized at the Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad. However, then the assembly was curtailed (many believed that only for a while), and Russian customers received cars manufactured in Korea and Belarus at the Unison plant.

Opel Mokka" 2012–16

However, the Russian enterprise did not survive the crisis and was closed. Dealers sold out the last Opel Mokka, and the model finally went to secondary market, where now they are asking for it from 540-550 thousand rubles (for front-wheel drive cars of 2012-2013 in modest trim levels) to 1,050,000 - 1,150,000 rubles (for all-wheel drive crossovers of 2014-2015 in the top Cosmo configuration). And, of course, the owners share their experience and their assessments of this car. And what do they write, for what do they praise, and for what do they scold?

Hate #5 "Train your ear for music!"

Let's say right away: Opel Mokka turned out to be a very balanced car, with a lot of advantages, but not without flaws. One of the objects of criticism, quite rightly, was visibility. It seems that everything should be fine: the body is high, the landing is more vertical than in passenger cars ... But no.

The front left view is decently blocked by the body pillar and the side mirror, so you need to be very careful when approaching pedestrian crossings. There is a solid dead zone on the right, so you also need to be very careful when changing lanes. But the biggest problem for the owners is the back view. In the salon mirror, you can really see almost nothing - the headrests and a small cleaning area interfere rear window. In theory, a rear-view camera should have helped out, but it’s impossible to park only on it, you definitely need to look in side mirrors. In addition, the camera provides control of the situation behind the car only when it is clean.

A clean camera is not too often, because it is constantly bombarded with dirt flying from under the wheels. But there are also parking sensors, both front and rear! But no one has written anything good about their work, but more and more they write something like this: “Parking sensors in terms of ease of use - I have never seen worse in my life. And it's hard to say a good word about the device itself. I explain: in the picture we have a car view from above. Wherever you go (forward or backward), the interference always shows only in front, while there is a slightly perceptible difference in the timbre of the “pee-pee-pee” sound! And if someone has no musical ear? Right. We hit the brakes and turn on the analytical part of the brain: yeah, I was backing up, which means that the rear parking sensors were most likely squeaking ... At the same time, the front one gives signals 5-7 meters away, and the rear one - a meter away. I would like it to be the other way around."

Love #5 "He's just a darling..."

A lot of reviews about this car begin in much the same way: we chose a car for my wife, went to the salon, looked, decided that the Mokka looked pretty, and the salon didn’t let us down, so we bought it. It is often mentioned that the alternative was the Nissan Juke. Actually, there is nothing strange in this: Mokka was created as a kind of “Antijuk”. But if Nissan designers relied on unusualness and outrageousness, then the small Opel crossover looks much calmer, but at the same time more harmonious. And it seems that the developers of Mokka were not mistaken in deciding not to abuse design innovations: their offspring blocked the Juke in popularity during the first year.

Opel Mokka" 2012–16

The creators of the interiors have also done a very good job: the interior space of Mokka receives only positive ratings from the owners. And also to the ladies, who make up a significant part Opel owners Mokka, I really like the two-tone interior with combined seat upholstery (they write about it - they say, just a bomb!), Front seats with adjustable cushion length and LEDs that beautifully illuminate the lines of the front panel. In a word, not Mercedes, of course, but very functional and at the same time not boring.

Interior Opel Mokka Turbo 4x4" 2012–16

Adds functionality and an abundance of storage space for small items, and there are really a lot of them - two containers in the front panel on the passenger side, plus another small box on the driver's side. In the front doors, in addition to a pocket for a bottle and small items, there is a special pocket for a cell phone or keys. FROM rear doors the same story. There are special lockable niches for small items in the trunk. All this is especially liked by haters of all kinds of mess: “Incredibly convenient! The car is in exemplary order, although I carry a lot of little things with me.

Hate #4 "Sores are small, but annoying"

With all the general good design and unpretentiousness in operation, the car, as it turned out, is prone to a number of relatively minor sores - not fatal, but very unnerving owners.

For example, in cars with mechanical box reverse gear turns on with a delay, and the instruction manual recommends turning it on not immediately, but only 2 seconds after the clutch is released. “Hitchhiking” torments with independent inclusions, and “strangled” on low revs the engine creates problems when pulling away. The operation of the rain sensor is annoying, which in winter, during snowfall at night, does not care about visibility at all, and which lives its own life according to its own incomprehensible rules.

Often the AFL adaptive head light system is “buggy”. This happens especially often in winter, in cold weather, and for someone the error message goes out after the engine is restarted, and someone has to go to the service.

Opel Mokka Turbo 4x4" 2012–16

Another common sore is the failure of the ignition module. The failure of one of the coils leads to the need to replace the entire module, since the individual coils are not changed. Alas, the new module costs 12,000 rubles. Several owners immediately after the purchase constantly whistled the front parking sensors, as the sensors reacted to the edges of the license plate inserted into their native plastic frame. But in order to get rid of the annoying squeak, it was only necessary to tighten the edges of the frame to the bumper with self-tapping screws. There have been cases of failure of the unit responsible for connecting the rear axle, and with very vague symptoms: when the steering wheel is turned, and only at low speeds, from 1 to 20 km / h, they begin to wedge rear wheels. One of the owners had to replace rear axle assembled.

Opel Mokka Turbo 4x4" 2012–16

Finally, young mothers complain about uncomfortable seat belt buckles in the back seat: in order to buckle up, you need to hold this lock with one hand, and insert the belt itself with the other, because the lock tries to hide under the seat.

Love #4 "And many, many small joys"

In any case, one of the most popular reasons for buying Opel Mokka was the high functional richness of the model. The car is literally crammed with a variety of amenities, which, perhaps today, are perceived as something quite natural and ordinary, but five years ago brought Mokka to the lead.

Opel Mokka" 2012–16

Add all-wheel drive automatic box gears, combined interior, rear and front parking sensors, two-zone air conditioner. Owners of adaptive bi-xenon headlights (AFL system) are highly praised.

The equipment includes a full-color LCD monitor, audio control on the steering wheel, interior ambient lighting, and a 220V power outlet (in addition to the USB slot, as well as AUX sockets and a cigarette lighter). There is a full power package (drives for seats, side windows and side mirrors, including their folding), cruise control with memory and a hill start assist system (which delights a great part of drivers). For those who like to chat on a mobile phone on the go, there is a regular hands-free system. In general, the equipment is at the level of prestigious models of premium brands, and for quite sane money.

Hate #3 "It's not for him"

When a person decides to purchase a crossover, he also has in mind his ability to move not only on a good road. But in this regard, Mokka does not please its owners. Like, and ground clearance the model is not so small: according to the documents - 190 mm. But the geometric cross-country ability is pretty spoiled by the large front overhang and the shape of the front bumper with the “skirt” lowered down, the clearance under which does not exceed 156-159 mm. Because of this, many people complain that it’s scary to drive on the curb - suddenly you tear something off, but on a rustic primer, no, no, and even strike a skirt over a seemingly harmless bump.

Many people complain about the rapid overheating of the viscous coupling of the all-wheel drive system. Mokka also doesn’t like to ride through puddles: firstly, they splash very quickly side windows and mirrors, and secondly, after falling into a puddle, the brake discs begin to deform, and they have to be machined. Such an operation is enough for a maximum of 15,000 kilometers.

Love # 3 "And in the city he is the king"

Yes, whatever you say, Opel Mokka is designed primarily for living in the jungle big city. Here he feels like a fish in water: a bunch of "engine - box" works very well. You can’t call a car a sprinter, but in city traffic it keeps up, keeping up. This applies to atmospheric, and turbocharged engine, and diesel.

The owners are especially pleased with the work of the automatic box - clear, without any special delays, jerks and "kicks", and it is she who, to some extent, conceals the insufficient power of gasoline engines at low revs. The electronics responsible for exchange rate stability, stabilization and all-wheel drive control.

In winter, you can fool around: the car gives sufficient freedom of control in a skid, and the electronics intervene exactly when necessary. Four-wheel drive - although it is conditional, it sometimes helps out a lot, so driving around the city after a snowfall and parking in yards that have not been cleared of snow do not turn into a problem. Actually, it is these tasks that the all-wheel drive of an urban crossover should solve. Owners highly appreciate both maneuverability and modest dimensions, which make it easy to find parking spaces. In a word, practically perfect car for confident movement around the city, able to get into any hole. But long trips along the country road are not his forte.

Hate #2 "Shaking or not shaking?"

Indeed, how can a car with a high body, short base and stiff suspension be the ruler of long-distance roads? Many people (although not all) complain about the fact that, when passing through obstacles, the passengers sitting behind them quite noticeably throw up, and on bumpy primers the car starts to “goat” at all. But those who do not express their displeasure and do not put a stiff suspension on the list of disadvantages simply consider that shaking is not the biggest price to pay for confident cornering behavior.

The owners of the top-end Cosmo configuration, which was equipped with 18-inch wheels, especially often complain about the stiffness of the suspension and shaking.

Love # 2 "We are not afraid of the evil frost"

Opel Mokka generally turned out to be very well adapted to the conditions of the Russian winter. According to the testimonies of the owners, the 1.8-liter engine starts up confidently at temperatures down to minus 27-28 degrees, and those who drive mechanics with a 1.4 engine assure that they are not afraid of temperatures below -35! True, 1.4 has a more powerful battery - 70 A / h. Climate control works quite efficiently, the stove heats up perfectly, and the interior warms up very quickly.

The three-level heated seats and steering wheel also increase comfort in winter, as does the heated rear window and mirrors. True, in these barrels of honey spilled by the owners, there were not without a couple of fly in the ointment. Firstly, when the frost is below -15 degrees, the four-wheel drive turns on only 5 minutes after the engine is started. So it turns out that you park in the evening in a snowdrift on all-wheel drive, but you can’t leave in the morning, you have to wait. And secondly, there is no heating windshield- not only over the entire area, but also in the rest zone of the wiper blades. At the same time, the driver cannot even lift the brushes so that they do not freeze: this can only be done with the hood open.

Hate #1 "It won't be enough!"

History with available baggage volumes Opel Mokka is a complete mystery to me. On the one hand, formally the trunk of this model is not so small: the specifications indicate the figure of 356 liters. That's almost twice the luggage space of its main competitor, the Nissan Juke! But for some reason, the owners are unhappy, and in the list of shortcomings of the model, the insufficient volume of the trunk is in the first place. “The trunk is a joke. We went south together, things got in only because the back seat was loaded.

In principle, the ability to fold the rear seats and get a platform with a flat floor helps out, but the length of the resulting space does not exceed 130 cm, so organizing a berth on a long journey will not work. By the way, in many reviews on the Internet it is written that the decision to sell the car was made after the family grew up, and the owners no longer had enough internal volumes. Everything else was perfect for them.

Love # 1 "And I love economical"

But what all owners are almost unanimous about is that they unanimously consider the main advantage of the Opel Mokka to be its efficiency - both in terms of fuel consumption and in terms of maintenance costs. First of all, in none of the reviews I did not come across a description of any serious problems and breakdowns, and basically the owners write something like “for 4 years, Mokka has never let me down, basically they managed to change the oil and consumables.”

True, everyone evaluates the cost of maintenance differently. Someone admires the fact that the first service (in 2013, and this must be taken into account) cost only 5,400 rubles, someone thinks that the service is still expensive, because for the second MOT the "officials" counted him almost 20 thousand. One of the relatively few owners diesel cars gave the following chronicle of maintenance costs: TO-30,000 - 15,923 rubles, TO-45,000 - 15,602 rubles, TO-60,000 (plus replacement brake pads) - 18,520 rubles, TO-90,000 - 14,310 rubles. But it is believed that the cost of servicing diesel cars is significantly higher than for gasoline ...

But diesels are definitely champions in fuel efficiency: in the city with traffic jams, working air conditioning and all the benefits - 6.1 l / 100 km, and even less on the highway: in Russia - 5.8 l / 100 km, and consumption abroad and completely reduced to 4.9 l / 100 km. Owners of cars with 1.8-liter atmospherics report that urban consumption in the summer is 10-11 liters, rising to 12-13 l / 100 km in winter. On the highway, Mokka eats 8-9 l / 100 km, but consumption is highly dependent on the driving mode: at a speed of 80-90 km / h, you can meet 6.5 liters, more than 100 km / h - 8-8.5. The average consumption is usually 9.2 - 9.5 l / 100 km. And the 1.4-liter turbo engine with the same power not only provides a little better dynamics, but it also turns out to be somewhat more economical: on a "cruise" at a speed of 110-120 km / h, the consumption of on-board computer is 6.8-6.9 l / 100 km, and in the city - 9.8-9.9, which can be considered a very good indicator for an all-wheel drive crossover.

Opel Mokka" 2012–16

In a word, the sum of the Opel Mokka's advantages significantly exceeds the sum of its shortcomings, and there is nothing surprising in the fact that many online reviews express regret that the model has left the market. Otherwise, many of the owners, when changing a car, would prefer to purchase exactly the same, only a new one.

What emotions does the Opel Mokka evoke in you?

I’ll write right away: I practically don’t understand cars, I can’t even change the oil myself, so automotive terms and I will not use slang phrases, because I simply do not know them. I have always traveled in cars: Honda Civic, Ford Focus, Audi A6. I live in the private sector, and every autumn I have to overcome a broken road with numerous pits. And recently, after heavy rains, I wade and slurry from clay (a couple of years ago they laid a sewer here). But when winter comes and cars lay a track, which freezes after rain, it becomes very difficult to leave. For this reason, my wife and I began to think about buying a crossover.

Considered models such as Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano, Kia Sportage And Ford Kuga. The car was looking for a new, not used. The last two options "fell off" because of the price. Initially, we settled on the new Duster. But somehow by chance I came across the news about the accident in which the Renault Duster got into and formed like a house of cards, while the second car did not suffer much. This made me think about safety, and my wife was not attracted to the boring appearance of a crossover from Renault.

Calculating the budget, gritting his teeth, still decided to look for a little used. After two months of active searches in Moscow turned up Opel Mokka.

The car has been sold official dealer under the trade-in program. Upon inspection, it turned out that the car was not beaten, there are small scratches on the bumpers and mirrors, the interior is clean. Condition pleased - decided to buy.

So, what did we get: a 2013 car with a mileage of only 43,000 km, with gasoline engine volume of 1.8 liters and a manual transmission. The package includes: climate control, heated front seats, steering wheel (for the first time I came across this wonderful marvel, but, as I remember the winter and driving with gloves, I think that this option will appeal to you), power windows for all doors, cruise control, radio CD/MP3 with AUX input, fog lights, alloy wheels R18, cruise control and steering wheel radio, alarm, engine protection.

Body grey. Immediately a little disappointed with the front bumper: it is low, almost like in the usual passenger car, but there is a protection in the form of a rubber lining. Nevertheless, it is better not to drive up close to high curbs. Distance from ground to rear bumper is 19 cm. The wipers do not fully rise, the hood interferes - this is a minus.

Salon is very comfortable for those sitting in front. Plastic is pleasant to the touch, not like in Duster. There are a lot of buttons on the center console, but it's not difficult to figure them out. Silver inserts look great. The neon lights are insane.

The monochrome monitor located in the center displays the name of the radio station, sound level, temperature and other data. The driver sits high, visibility is good. When parking, you don’t have to look in the interior mirror, it doesn’t help much: the rear window is small, even in the Ford Focus it was larger, so I’m guided by the side mirrors. The sound of the radio is good, six speakers. There are a lot of glove compartments and compartments. There is a drawer under the passenger seat. The steering wheel is height and reach adjustable. It is pleasant to the touch and lined with leather. The armrest is not the most comfortable and interferes with gear changes at first, but I got used to it, although in a pinch it can be raised.

Seats in the back - for two, the three of us will be already cramped. The trunk turned out to be small: I tried to load a child into it tricycle- failed. Even a folded baby stroller could only fit after I unhooked and removed the lid in the side shelf of the trunk. Backseat folds into a flat floor. Noise isolation is average. I drove an Audi A6 in 2009 for six months - I didn’t notice a difference in noise level between these cars, but compared to the Focus it feels good.
