As for fuel consumption, with a manual transmission, the Hyundai Solaris eats up about 7.6 liters in the city, about 4.9 liters on the highway and 5.9 liters in the combined driving cycle. With automatic transmission, consumption will increase, respectively, to 8.5 liters in the city, 5.2 liters on the highway and 6.4 liters in the combined cycle.

The top engine also has a 4-cylinder in-line layout, is equipped with multi-point injection, a 16-valve DOHC timing and a variable valve timing system, but its working volume is increased to 1.6 liters (1591 cm³), which allowed the developers to bring the engine power to 123 liters .from. at 6300 rpm.
