New car warranty

ŠKODA AUTO a.s. and OOO VOLKSWAGEN Group Rus, respectively, provide a manufacturer's warranty for each vehicle sold. The manufacturer has established a general Warranty period for ŠKODA vehicles – 2 (two) years without mileage limitation.

For vehicles Š KODA Rapid produced in the territory Russian Federation, starting from January 1, 2016, the manufacturer provides a quality guarantee for a period of 3 (three) years or until the vehicle reaches 100,000 km (whichever comes first), while during the first 2 (two) years of operation, the conditions for granting a quality guarantee do not depend on the mileage. This condition applies only to vehicles sold through a network of official ŠKODA Dealers in the Russian Federation and intended for use on the Russian market.

The warranty period for elements, parts and components supplied with the car, but not included in its package (except for those that are not covered by the warranty according to the list below in this Service Book) expires simultaneously with the Warranty period for the car.

Parts and Accessories Warranty

The warranty period for original ŠKODA parts and accessories is 2 years without mileage limitation and starts on the day of transfer (sale) of the part by an authorized dealer or on the day the part or accessory is installed on the car by the dealer.

Perforation Corrosion Warranty

For absence through corrosion, for new cars, a 12-year unlimited mileage warranty is provided.

Paint coating warranty

The absence of manufacturing defects in the paintwork of the body is covered by a 3-year warranty without mileage limitation.

1. The above warranty does not apply to parts subject to normal wear and tear, such as clutch disc friction linings, brake discs, brake pads, incandescent lamps, wiper blades, tires, filters, etc.

2. All warranty claims will expire at the end of the warranty period.

3. For faults reported but not repaired during the warranty period, the warranty is valid until repaired if the delay in repair was due to waiting for the necessary parts.

4. ŠKODA AUTO is not responsible for additional warranty provided by an authorized ŠKODA dealer, which is beyond the scope of this warranty.

Warranty exclusions

Warranty claims may be denied, in whole or in part, if the fault complained of is directly related to one of the following:

Improper operation or overloading of the vehicle (for example, use in racing or rallies, driving lessons, etc.);

The vehicle has previously undergone unauthorized repairs or maintenance, which resulted in the failure of a part, vehicle assembly, etc.;

Fuels, lubricants and other consumables not recommended by ŠKODA AUTO were used;

Parts not approved for use by ŠKODA AUTO have been installed on the vehicle, or changes to the vehicle (including tuning) not authorized by the company have been made;

The owner of the car did not report the defect noticed upon delivery of the car, or the defect discovered later, and did not demand its elimination, which resulted in more serious damage;

Full or partial immersion of the car in water, resulting in corrosion damage;

Failure to comply with ŠKODA AUTO's rules regarding the operation, maintenance or care of the vehicle, and in particular the failure to maintenance work maintenance instructions prescribed in the service book;

Failure of engine parts exhaust system or engine power system due to the use of fuel that does not meet the recommendations of ŠKODA AUTO and (or) Russian standards.

If the car is immobilized and the repair cannot be performed on the day of the request, you can be provided with a replacement ŠKODA car for up to 5 days.

New car warranty
New ŠKODA vehicles purchased in the Russian Federation are covered by a 2-year unlimited mileage warranty from the date the vehicle was sold by an authorized ŠKODA AUTO dealer. The date of sale is recorded by the official dealer in the service book.
From 08/01/2014, a new option is available for ŠKODA Rapid vehicles manufactured in the Russian Federation - a 3-year warranty or up to a mileage of 100,000 km (3-year/100,000 km warranty).
When purchasing this option, the standard terms of the ŠKODA Rapid vehicle warranty are replaced by a warranty valid for 3 years or until the vehicle has reached 100,000 km of total mileage since the vehicle was handed over to the original purchaser, whichever occurs first.
This option is part of the vehicle equipment and can only be purchased when ordering a new vehicle for production from an official ŠKODA AUTO dealer as additional option(PR code EB3 - 3 years/100,000 km warranty).
Claims under the warranty purchased as an option above 3 years/100,000 km are only considered at official ŠKODA dealerships located in the Russian Federation.
The warranty covers any faults caused by the fault of the manufacturer and is provided by any authorized ŠKODA dealer.

Warranty for original parts and accessories
Genuine parts and accessories purchased from an authorized dealer are covered by a 2-year unlimited mileage warranty from the date of purchase of the part or its installation in an official ŠKODA dealer network. For original parts installed during warranty (free) repair, the warranty extends until the expiration of the main warranty period for the car.

Perforation Corrosion Warranty
