Owner reviews

The car was bought new in 2012. Options Expression with free hands and music Akramix. The mileage is now 117 thousand. The advantages of the car:

1. One of the largest salons in the class.
2. I really liked the work of the motor with the variator. Everything is fast and predictable.
3. Huge, despite the arc, trunk. I put myself in it for a bet!
4. Normal appearance. The car is really beautiful.
5. Reliability. For 5 years of operation I only consumables.
6. Consumption. On average, about 10.5 liters. On the track, the record is 7.5 liters, the anti-record is 12.0 liters in the city in winter.
7. LKP. The car is painted normally, chips do not rot. For 5 years of Moscow operation everything is normal.
8. Soft, non-piercing suspension. Clearance pleases, suitable for our roads. You can even drive on the primer, but without fanaticism.

1. The work of janitors in winter. Well, I could not choose the mode of operation so that they do not freeze over. Not enough heating in the rest area.
2. The steering wheel closes the tidy with a convenient adjustment.
3. The driver's seat is not very comfortable, the back hurts on long distances.
4. The light is indistinct. The headlights are halogens, maybe xenon is better ...
5. Trim on the doors and armrest rubbed.
6. At first glance, the noise is quite good, but the wheel arches still need to be additionally rustled.

In general, I got a very worthy device for my money. Turkish collection. Satisfied.

Review of Renault Fluence 2.0 (137 hp) with CVT 2012 onwards

Video review

Fluence 2012 Liked the look. The engine is enough, and on the rises and overtaking the car goes briskly, but paired with a variator, this is something with something. In short, for five years I did not understand how it works. There is a lot of noise, little sense! Consumption is more than 10 liters with a mixed cycle. The leather upholstery of the driver's seat burst in the first frosts.

The main advantage is comfort. This applies to hodovki and interior. Very good lighting (standard xenon), warm in winter, cool in summer.

The main disadvantage is that at low temperatures -36 and below, the roof leads (shallow dents). Not everyone notices this, but almost all Renaults have it.

Andrey Getmantsev, drives Fluence 2.0 (137 hp) CVT 2012

Definitely worth your money. Comfortable, pleasant to drive, nimble (despite its size) car. Comfort at the level of cars of this class, and maybe even higher:

1. Comfortable seats (compare with Logan — owned for 5 years).
2. Large trunk, the ability to fold the entire rear seat in parts, and not just the backs.
3. Comfortable suspension.
4. Galvanized body — does not rust on chips.
5. Possibility to fill in 92 gasoline (I do).
6. Steady on the track

Flaws:

1. The famous double start (owners will understand) - at a certain temperature (about 0, +/- 7-8 degrees), the car does not start on the first try.
2. Mounting wipers is not the most common - bayonet, you can’t buy it everywhere, and the price is not budget.
3. A peculiar appearance when viewed from the front — not everyone likes it, the restyling is better, but I have a dorestyle.
4. Fuel consumption is higher than the passport.

Dmitry, review of Renault Fluence 1.6 with mechanics in 2013

Renault Fluence is a car with a claim to solidity. Among budget Logans, Grant, KIA — looks much better.

Among the advantages of a car stand out spacious salon and a large trunk. The front panel is beautiful, the instruments are conveniently located, the digital speedometer is easy to read. The ride is smooth, adaptive steering helps well at high speed.

The first thing that unpleasantly surprised — the cost of maintenance of a new car. Changing the oil and two filters (30-minute work for an experienced craftsman) costs 15 thousand rubles. The second - with a run of 15 thousand km, the left strut of the front stabilizer rattled, at 25 thousand km - the right one.

When parking, it is difficult to determine the size of the right front fender and the distance to the rear obstacle. The best solution- install parking sensors (even the cheapest one for 1,000 rubles). I have 40 years of experience, I had several Renaults (Nevada, Laguna), and at first parking on Fluence really caused difficulties.

Review of Renault Fluence 1.6 (106 hp) manual transmission 2014

Comfort package. Assembling Autoframos. Bought new...

The air conditioning compressor operates in the “on-off” mode, and when the car is moving, the engine thrust either drops or is restored back. This is inconvenient, especially when driving in the city.

All pedals are different heights. Lowest throttle, highest clutch. When you move your foot, lift it up to the stop. Why the pedals were so lifted up is not clear. In the cabin I saw a car with poorly glued molding ...

The wipers creak from buying a car. In winter, in the timing belt area, it began to make noise, with warming up, the noise disappears. I took the car to the dealer, they make a helpless gesture, they say we don’t hear anything. Consumption by on-board computer: city 11.5 l, highway 7-8 l.

Advantages:
— Spacious interior.
- 92 gasoline.
— Suspension.
— Large trunk.

Flaws
- The windshield washer freezes.
— No steering wheel reach adjustment.
— Expensive parts.
— Long engine warm-up in winter.
— In winter, the interior creaks.
- Uneven gaps between body elements.

The owner drives a Renault Fluence 1.6 (106 hp) with a 2014 manual.

Visibility could be better, but wide A-pillars interfere.

People agree to pay money, but for the interior to be more noise-proof. Dorestyling had problems with this, but for restyled cars, the French nevertheless took steps in the right direction.

The finishing material of the seats is also not good enough. I would like to see a real solid velor, as in the Laguna 1996, assembled for Germany.

Vladislav Goncharov, Fluence 2.0 AT review 2015

As we have already said, Fluence came to Russia relatively recently - in 2010. Formally, it belongs to the “golf” class, however, with its dimensions (length - 4.62 meters!) In every possible way it marks more solid cars in the company. The design of Fluence sharply aged its predecessor: the newcomer became less outrageous, but at the same time did not become boring. And the most attractive car looks in dark colors.

The sedan, built on the third-generation Megan chassis, is produced in the Turkish city of Bursa, and more recently, cars for Russian market received a Moscow residence permit at the Avtoframos plant. However, all three-year-olds carry a Turkish VIN.

Basic versions boast a pair of pillows, ABS, air conditioning and power accessories. Other delicacies - for an extra charge. In rich versions, you can find climate and cruise control, combined trim, bi-xenon and keyless start. There are two motors, and each of them is combined with both "mechanics" and "automatic".

Prices for three-year-olds start at 400,000 rubles for the base engine, and 2-liter versions are at least a hundred thousand more expensive. The new Fluence at dealers costs 625,000 and 761,000 rubles, respectively. Thus, buying a three-year plan allows you to gain 200,000–250,000 rubles - that is, up to 50% of the price of a car without a run. Tempting? Undoubtedly! And yet, let's not rush to hit the piggy bank on the floor - let's better find out everything about the reliability of the "Frenchman".

Body and electrical equipment

Salt and rubber

There are no complaints about the body coating itself: the Turks do not spare paint, therefore, by their own will, three-year-olds do not lose their elegant appearance. But there is one thing - rubber seals. On some cars, they begin to rub hard against the body, thus scraping off the paint in different places. When examining the instance you like, pay special attention to the edging of the front doors, carefully inspect the arches in the openings rear doors and trunk lid. Most often, the paint gives slack in these places.

If rust on a Renault is quite rare, then a dying starter is a mass phenomenon. It's all about its low location and lack of insulation, which the designers did not provide. And then salt and reagents in large cities do their dirty work. Usually the starter lasts two winters.

Transmission

Keep an eye on the oil level

"Fluence" offered customers a choice of both "mechanics" and "automatic". At the start of sales, the role of the automatic transmission was performed by a classic and simple 4-band torque converter, and in the second year it was replaced by a stepless variator. The clutch on “manual” cars (unless, of course, you burn it on purpose) takes care of 100,000 km or more, and mechanics have not had any questions about CVTs so far.

It is only worth noting the modulation valves on the “machine”, which sometimes failed, however, in most of these incidents, these malfunctions were fixed by dealers under warranty.

Engine

Pair of normal

The engineers supplied their ward with two naturally aspirated 16-valve gasoline engines. The simplest 1.6-liter K4M engine with a capacity of 106 forces was developed by the French themselves, and the 2-liter M4R (137 hp) was borrowed from colleagues from Nissan. Both motors are unpretentious and perfectly digest our fuel. The younger brother has timing belt, which should be changed every 60,000 km according to the regulations. In addition, every 15,000 km it requires the replacement of candles.

His more powerful counterpart has an exceptionally reliable chain in the gas distribution mechanism. combustible mixture in the M4R, iridium candles are ignited - they should be updated at every fourth MOT (that is, once every 60,000 km). Belt attachments for both engines it changes with the same frequency - every 60,000 km.

Suspension and steering

role model

The suspension of the Turkish "Frenchman" is typical for inexpensive front-wheel drive cars: in front - "MacPherson", in the back - a twisted beam. The European clearance of 125 mm in our conditions turned out to be insufficient, therefore, in the process of adapting Fluence to Russia, it was increased by almost a third - by 40 mm, and stiffness was added to the suspension.

Shock absorbers in our "directions" take care of an average of 80,000 km. Upon reaching a run of 60-70 thousand, most likely, it will be necessary to replace the bushings and stabilizer struts when the former begin to creak and the latter begin to knock. Any rubber bands change extremely rarely, even with runs exceeding 100,000 km, since the suspension is simple and everything is sorted out in a jiffy.

Of the other troubles, it is worth noting the ball bearings that are assembled with the front levers: if they “run out” ahead of time, you will have to change the entire assembly. True, the need for this does not arise very often.

There are no complaints about the electric power steering, as well as the rear beam - these components require replacement only after serious accidents.

The front brake pads are usually changed for the second MOT (30,000 km), and the rear ones for the third (45,000 km). Brake discs traditionally last twice as long.

Buying?

We have no objections to the purchase of a three-year-old Fluence. A quarter of a million is a good reason to buy a used copy. The 1.6 Mg option is quite suitable for confident movement in space. If you want to get rid of the "extra" pedal and "handmade", then we advise you to take a closer look at the 2-liter version. Yes, such a car is a hundred thousand more expensive, but with the base engine, the “automatic” is annoyingly slow.

Renault Fluence is a humble Frenchman who was not a bestseller. But there are enough people who want to buy an attractive comfortable car for relatively little money.

Introduced Fluence in 2009 as a replacement for the second Megane hatchback. In those markets where Megan was sold, there was not enough demand - that is why in model range Renault has a classic sedan, and even with increased dimensions, almost according to the class D standard.

Moreover, before the official premiere in South Korea, there was already a premiere of Fluence, however, under the name Renault Samsung SM3. Korean engineers took part in the development, because Fluence was supposed to become a global car, with sales in 80 countries.

Under the hood of the model are petrol 1.6 (K4M) and 2.0 (M4R) units with power from 106 to 140 hp. respectively. As well as a 1.5-liter dCi turbodiesel in four modifications with a capacity from 85 to 110 hp. They were paired with a manual gearbox (JR5, later TL4), a four-speed automatic transmission DP0, an FK0 variator and a dual-clutch robot.

In 2021, Fluence underwent restyling in accordance with the new style of the manufacturer. In addition to the new look, the sedan received xenon optics, standard daytime running lights and improved audio system. Petrol 1.6 H4M (114 hp) was added to the range of engines, which is aggregated with a DK0 variator.

Post-styled Fluences have been produced in Russia since 2013.

Time has shown that the decision to make such a car was justified: in terms of cost, Fluence competed with B-class cars, and in terms of size and mincemeat, it pushed the competitors of the C-segment with might and main and even swung at the D-class. But after the crisis and falling sales in Russia in 2015, the manufacturer stopped producing the model.

Although still on secondary market enough of these sedans. True, you can’t call her running. And this is largely due to the contradiction of the opinions of the owners. Let's try to figure it out.

Why are they scolded

Low power 1.6 liter engine

If you look at ads for the sale of used Renault Fluence in Belarus, the price difference between the two versions is obvious - with a 1.6 and 2.0 liter engine. Moreover, this difference, adjusted for the condition of the car, is one and a half, and sometimes almost twice. And the owners are unanimous - this is justified.

The fact is that Fluence with a 1.6 and 2.0 engine is perceived and behaves like two different cars.

Moreover, the owners have no complaints about the two-liter versions. Yes, the variator that such machines are equipped with cannot stand nervous driving: you need to press the pedal quickly, but smoothly, and do not forget to change the oil in the transmission.

But in general, a two-liter 138-horsepower injector regularly accelerates the sedan even with passengers and a full trunk, allows you to confidently overtake, makes noise only at a value of more than 5 thousand revolutions on the tachometer.

Not so optimistic about the 1.6-liter engine. 106 "horses", especially when the air conditioner is on, "do not pull" the car. Especially paired with a "thoughtful" 4-speed "automatic". Versions with a manual gearbox drive more cheerfully, but the gears in the box are short, which is good only in the city. And already from 110 km / h on the tachometer is about 4 thousand rpm, and a rumble is heard from under the hood. In general, you have to forget about vigorous wedging in traffic jams and active rebuilding, and according to the subjective feelings of the owners, the real power of this version of Fluence is about 80 hp. against the manufacturer's 106 - it's a shame.

Separately got electronic pedal gas: after pressing the motor for a minute (this is a long time), it thinks, then it starts to gain momentum, and power is lost in the same way. It's not just about comfort: attempts at vigorous maneuvers with such initial maneuvers can end in an accident.

But the restyled versions, where the 114-horsepower H4M engine, have no such problem. And the braking dynamics is beyond praise.

Valka suspension

The downside of smooth ride comfort is roll and roll in corners. Some owners do not consider this a problem, it seems that everything is within the acceptable range and does not affect the clarity of the trajectory. But other owners of the sedan complain that in long trips passengers are even seasick due to the Fluence's tendency to swing and repeat all the road mistakes. And that the rolls are of such magnitude when the driver is in sharp turn blows to the door or armrest in the center of the cabin. Add to this tenacious brakes - we get another powerful “peck” of the body in front of a speed bump, for example. Well, on the handling of a sedan at high speeds, such rolls are reflected, of course, not in the best way.

Winter operation

The manufacturer did not take into account the harsh domestic weather realities, as a result, "Fluence" does not exactly fit into our winters. There are no particular problems with starting the engine, but the rest of the elements upset the owners.

In frost, the suspension stiffens and the stabilizer bushings begin to creak - this is annoying.

On the idling trying to warm up the engine is useless - only on the go.

The upholstery of the leatherette seats and the steering wheel upholstery are cracking, and the trunk button freezes, which leads to an unscheduled opening, in fact, of the trunk. Due to flaws in the air exchange system in the cold, the windows of the rear doors and the roof are covered with frost. The transmission backstage cable freezes too.

If the snow is not removed from the hood under the windshield in time (and this is difficult), it will absorb the “washer” sprayed onto the glass and flowing down and deliver it to the cabin through the air intake along with toxic fumes.

Due to the fact that the lowered brushes lie below the glass blowing level, they always freeze to the glass. The glass itself is quite soft, scratched once or twice. And also - it freezes around the edges and below.

The situation with the rear glass is similar: the electric heating power is not enough, the melted snow flows into the gutter between the glass and the trunk lid, turns into ice and hits the glass when the trunk is opened.

Ergonomics

A typical Frenchman means that they have done something in terms of non-obvious decisions in the cabin. Renault Fluence is no exception.

The owners scold the steering column joystick, the buttons of which control the audio system. You have to use it blindly, because the buttons are hidden by the spokes of the steering wheel - but someone gets used to it.

The seat heating control buttons for the front seats are located at the bottom of these same seats. And the heating indicator is on the front panel. Of the two post-cups, you can use one, the second under the lever or gearbox selector.

Separate hatred of the owners - there are no dampers on the central deflectors to avoid drafts for rear passengers you have to turn off the air conditioner. Adjusting the air flow so that it does not blow directly into the face will also fail.

You will have to look for the hood latch lever. And the design of the trunk suggests that getting what you need from its bowels and not getting dirty is not an easy task. Separately, they scold the massive hinges on which the trunk lid is suspended - it not only takes away usable space, but can also damage fragile cargo.

What are they praised for?

Rich equipment and comfort in the cabin

Often, owners choose Fluence, having a certain amount, initially not considering this model for purchase at all.

And the reason for that is full stuffing". Because among classmates for the same money it is simply impossible to find such excellent equipment. Which includes a start / stop system and keyless entry, a cooled glove box, xenon and even LED optics, rain and light sensors, door lighting, dual-zone climate control, full power accessories with heated seats, retractable rear sun shades, leather trim ...

Of course, this mainly applies to expensive trim levels. But in terms of equipment level, the sedan is not inferior to the C, or even the D-class. For those to whom the car is a second home - a significant advantage.

Separately, the "hands-free" chip card is praised: it eliminates a lot of key fobs and keychains. It is enough to open the car, holding any handle, sitting behind the wheel, press the engine start button and after the trip - turn off the engine, close the doors and move away. And the sedan itself will put itself on full-time protection - very convenient.

Also in the car there is a timer that turns off all energy consumers after the engine stops - problems with the battery are unfamiliar to forgetful owners.

And the interior design will not disappoint: soft plastic, good quality assembly, especially for pre-styling versions. The owners of spectacular illumination of instruments and controls are especially pleased. Noise isolation of the cabin is also on the level. In winter, owners often do not even hear the slipping wheels while driving or the sound of snow beating against the bottom.

Dimensions and capacity

One of the main advantages of the model is the volume inside. Salon Renault Fluence is wide, the shape of the front panel only emphasizes the spacious fit and space for passengers and the driver. If you push the driver's seat to the maximum, you can no longer get to the pedals.

And the volume of the trunk is as much as 520 liters.

A useful addition: the rear sofa can be folded to transfer bulky goods. And it folds up to a flat line with the trunk floor.

Soft suspension

Hardy and energy-intensive suspension is synonymous with the French manufacturer, and Fluence is no exception. MacPherson struts in front, rear torsion beam, the result is a smooth ride and the smoothest possible passage of rails, pits, speed bumps.

The owners are ready to compete even with the Laguna in terms of the smoothness of the sedan, and she is the recognized champion in the Renault lineup in this discipline.

Ground clearance of 170 mm adds confidence: the Renault Fluence is not afraid of the primer, curbs and snags lying on the ground.

Reliability and economy

The main thing is that Renault Fluence is reliable. I mean, it doesn't break. He does not care about extreme temperature changes, he equally rides on smooth autobahns and mountain serpentine ...

The network has enough reviews of those who went to long journey on this sedan, the geography stretches from Karelia to Italy - and everyone is satisfied with the durability and lack of serious damage to the Frenchman.

The secret of such reliability is a proven and fairly simple design, because the sedan has incorporated popular solutions from previous generations. Fluence is a platform synthesis from the third Megan, motor range from the second "Megan", rear suspension from Nissan Sentra. The fact remains that the main argument in favor of the purchase is the resource capacity of the machine and its individual components.

So, the 1.6 K4M engine is considered “indestructible”, the problem with increased oil consumption threatens it no earlier than after 300 thousand km. Careful drivers do not repair the clutch earlier than after 200 thousand kilometers, a serious suspension bulkhead threatens also infrequently.

Plus affordable, because simple, repair. Plus, inexpensive spare parts, and the original ones do not differ too much in cost from analogues.

And fuel consumption is at the level of the budget Kia Rio and Hyundai Solaris.

Total

Renault Fluence - not so common option in the secondary market, but very interesting, especially when viewed in detail. Yes, liquidity is low and annoying moments are possible in winter, and the combination of a 1.6-liter engine and a manual gearbox is considered unsuccessful. But in general it is affordable car, which is not inferior to a car of a higher class in terms of comfort and equipment, requires a minimum of money for its maintenance, as well as interventions.

We considered the advantages and disadvantages of Renault Logan.

In 2009, to replace everyone painfully familiar Renault Megane, a new product from the eminent French automaker, called Renault Fluence, entered the Eastern European market. This car belongs to the so-called "golf class", adopting all its pros and cons. An interesting design, in which the lines of the hood and roof smoothly flow into the lines of the trunk, appealed to a large number of potential buyers. It can be said that the design forte of this vehicle. The developers of the car miraculously managed to turn a fairly budget product into a car with a big swing for the business class. It was this feature that became the main factor in the good sales performance of Renault Fluence in Russia. It is clearly seen that the French engineers did their best when designing this car, but a number of mistakes made during production led to the fact that the final product had some weaknesses. Within the framework of this article, we will outline the main advantages and disadvantages of Renault Fluence for Russian consumer, let's talk about the advisability of this purchase, and also tell you what you should pay attention to if you want to buy yourself this car in the secondary market.

The main advantages and benefits of Renault Fluence

  1. Reliable power units;
  2. Roomy and comfortable interior;
  3. Large luggage compartment;
  4. High ground clearance;
  5. Energy-intensive and reliable suspension;
  6. Inexpensive in the secondary market;
  7. Warm in winter;
  8. Cheap maintenance;
  9. Fuel efficiency;
  10. Small amount of tax and insurance;

Let's consider them in more detail:

  1. Reliable power units.

Both engines available for the Russian market have already established themselves as fairly reliable units, as evidenced by numerous reviews from the owners. With minimal maintenance, these motors are able to cover more than 300 thousand km without problems. and do not require repair.

  1. Roomy and comfortable interior.

Although the car belongs to budget segment market, the quality of the materials used in the cabin and its dimensions can pleasantly surprise. The car can easily fit 5 people without causing each other much discomfort. Seats and steering column have large margins for adjustments, so that even tall people can ride with pleasure.

  1. Large luggage compartment.

Big trunk - next after appearance trump card of this car. According to this parameter, Renault Fluence can compete even with cars of a higher class, and the possibility of folding the rear row of seats simply amazes the imagination of some owners, because in this case it is possible to fit into the car what her classmates did not even dream of.

  1. High clearance.

Adapted for Russian reality, the model received an increase of 40 mm. ground clearance, so that all standard curbs do not pose any danger to the front and rear bumpers. In addition, this made it possible to decently increase the Renault Fluence's cross-country ability on some difficult sections of roads.

  1. Energy-intensive and reliable suspension.

The people have long begun to make legends about the reliability of the suspension of this model. The secret of its success is simple - there is nothing to break. Everything is arranged according to the technology of 20 or even 30 years ago, but with some improvements, thanks to which it was possible to achieve amazing road stability, energy intensity, reliability and smoothness. And the low cost of repairs and the cheapness of most suspension components is a bonus.

  1. Inexpensive in the secondary market.

Since this car belongs to the economy class, it quickly depreciates. Using this, you can buy yourself a good used car for very reasonable money.

  1. Warm in winter.

A very efficient stove is installed in the car, which is able to completely warm up the interior in a matter of minutes. This was achieved through the use of an indecently large heater radiator in versions of the car adapted for Russia.

  1. Cheap service.

The high prevalence of this model in our vast territory, as well as rare visits for repairs by most owners, have led to the fact that the cost of many spare parts for this machine is very pleasant. For example, scheduled maintenance with oil change, all filters, spark plugs and drive belts will cost the owner about 15-20 thousand, which is very pleasing.

  1. fuel economy.

Small atmospheric motors from this manufacturer have always been distinguished by their efficiency. The power units described above are no exception to the rule and, with a moderate driving style, can show fuel consumption of 6-7 liters per 100 km. in mixed mode.

  1. Small amount of tax and insurance.

small and enough low power motors can not only save gasoline, they also allow you not to spend fabulous sums on paying taxes and insurance premiums. So for a practical person who knows the value of money, the operation of this machine will clearly appeal to you.

  1. A large number of additional options.

For a relatively low price compared to the nearest competitors, in this car you can find a large number of modern auxiliary systems and additional options inherent in more expensive representatives of the automotive market.

Weaknesses and disadvantages of Renault Fluence

  • Ignition coils leak water, which can cause misfiring after driving through large puddles or washing the engine;
  • Unreliable power window mechanism;
  • In severe frosts, the backstage cables freeze;
  • Condensation often accumulates in the trunk;
  • The salon is prone to the so-called. "crickets";
  • The dimensions of the car are poorly felt;
  • Soft and quite vulnerable to adverse conditions body metal;
  • Low-powered 1.6-liter engine;
  • Weak and insufficiently reliable 4-speed automatic transmission;
  • Short gears manual transmission;
  • It quickly loses value in the secondary market;
  • The interior fabric gets dirty quickly.

Conclusion.

In conclusion, we can say that if you fundamentally need a car with an automatic transmission, then it is better to look at options with a 2-liter engine paired with a CVT. If you are an adherent of the "old school" and recognize only mechanics, then the version with the 1.6 engine will become good choice. But it’s better not to consider buying a car with an obsolete and poorly proven torque converter, as this can ruin your impression of a fairly good car.

The very process of choosing and inspecting a used car of this model is unremarkable and quite standard. Spend complete diagnostics suspension and internal systems, pay attention to the integrity of the body and check the car against the basis of insurance payments. These cars are almost never stolen. The only thing worth paying special attention to is the absence of a ban on registration actions, because most of these cars are bought on credit.

P.S.: Dear car owners, if you have identified frequent breakdowns any components, assemblies or parts, please report it in the comments below.

Renault Fluence appeared on the domestic market in 2010. The assembly of the French sedan was carried out in Russia at the Moscow Avtoframos plant and in Turkey. In addition, the model was assembled in Argentina, India, Malaysia and South Korea. Technically, Fluence is almost identical to the third Megan, besides, they are built on the same platform - Renailt-Nissan C.

Engines

In the arsenal official Renault Fluence only gasoline aspirated: 1.6 liters (106 hp / K4M and 116 hp / H4M) and 2.0 liters (138 hp / M4R). In Europe were available and diesel versions- with 1.5 and 1.6 dCi. In the secondary market diesel modifications does not occur.

The 2-liter engine and the 1.6-liter H4M have a reliable chain-type timing drive. K4M is equipped with a timing belt drive with an interservice replacement interval of 60,000 km (5,000 rubles per set).

The 1.6-liter K4M is the most widely used. His vulnerable spot- a phase regulator that wears out after 100-120 thousand km. First, a characteristic crack appears, and then - failures in traction and interruptions in the operation of the engine. The cost of a new phase regulator is 5,000 rubles. It is recommended to update it with the second replacement of the timing belt - at 120,000 km.

One of the mysterious phenomena that occurs with Renault Fluence is the difficulty in starting a cold engine after a long stop. When contacting the service, dealers reflashed the engine ECU, cleaned throttle valve changed injectors and spark plugs. But preventive procedures did not help everyone.

Starting problems can also arise due to a blown starter fuse, retractor relay, or even the starter itself (6,000 rubles).

After 50-80 thousand km, it is often necessary to change the thermostat. It wedges, or it starts to leak, which leads to the mixing of oil with antifreeze. Price new part- about 5,000 rubles.

Sometimes the fuel level sensor starts to fool, which changes as an assembly with a gasoline pump (from 16,000 rubles). In addition, the crankshaft seals may leak.

Over time, from sudden temperature changes (for example, after overcoming deep puddles), the heat shield of the muffler is deformed and begins to touch the elements exhaust system making an unpleasant sound. In this case, it is enough to bend the thermal protection to an acceptable position. In the morning, the muffler itself can accompany the warming up of the engine with a metallic ringing. And by 100-120 thousand km, the sealing ring of the exhaust system (150 rubles) often burns out - a characteristic roar appears.

In pre-styling cars with manual transmission, after 50-100 thousand km, the engine mount bolt often broke off, which incidentally led to sensor damage reversing and internal grenade. Later the problem was solved - a more powerful bolt was installed.

Transmission

Renault Fluence with a 1.6 liter engine was equipped with a 5-speed mechanical box gears (JH3) or 4-speed "automatic" (AL4 / DP0). After restyling, it was replaced by a variator (JF015). The 2-liter engine was combined with a 6-speed manual or CVT.

The main complaint about the “mechanics” is twitching at the moment of start after a long movement in a traffic jam. Dealers updated the clutch kit under warranty if the mileage did not exceed the mark of 30,000 km. According to them, the problem is in the clutch disc, which the manufacturer later upgraded. But after the replacement, the problem often arose again. At the same time, the clutch master cylinder or release bearing could require attention.

After 80-100 thousand km, some owners note the appearance of extraneous noise in the manual transmission. Mechanics claim that this is a feature of her work - bearings howl.

In winter, after overnight parking, the gear lever often becomes tight or does not move. The reason is the freezing of moisture that has fallen under the cable jacket. Drying and lubricating the assembly eliminates the problem for a short time. It is better to replace the cable - 4,000 rubles.

Owners automatic boxes gears often complain of jolts when shifting. The problem appears after 20 - 30 thousand km. The culprit is the pressure modulation solenoid valve. By 100-150 thousand km, almost all automatic machines pass through its replacement. The cost of the procedure is about 15,000 rubles. With regular oil changes, the automatic transmission will last up to overhaul 300-350 thousand km.

The variator worried the owners no less. Sometimes he began to creak, grunt and gnash. The problem was known to the manufacturer. Everything happened due to the sagging of the variator belt at engine speeds of 900–1100 rpm or more. "Treatment" was carried out by updating the program for managing the operation of the variator.

After 50-100 thousand km, jerks and shocks sometimes appear. It's all about the vulnerable pressure reducing valve of the variator pump. The sun gear and bearings can also fail. For repairs, you will need about 50-60 thousand rubles. With skillful handling and timely maintenance, the variator is able to cover 200-250 thousand km without repair.

Chassis

The suspension, like most modern cars, can creak in the cold. More often than not, the stabilizer bushings are to blame.

After 30 - 50 thousand km, the anthers of the front suspension struts were often torn. Dealers made a replacement, provided that the mileage at the time of contact did not exceed 30,000 km. As a substitute, strut anthers from the VAZ 2110 are ideal, and as a bump stop - an analogue from the VAZ 2108. The shock absorbers themselves serve more than 100-150 thousand km.

Front levers (from 3,000 rubles apiece) may require replacement after 60-100 thousand km. Silent blocks fail, and a little later - ball bearings.

Due to a defect in the area of the spline connection, some owners are faced with the appearance of knocks that give off to the steering wheel when driving through bumps. steering rack sometimes starts knocking after 100-150 thousand km.

It is worth noting several unpleasant incidents that occurred with 2-liter Fluences in winter. At the most inopportune moment, the brakes failed - the brake pedal “got stuck”. The reason is the freezing of the brake valve of the vacuum hose. Dealers put an extra cover on the hose as a countermeasure. Brake system Fluence with a 1.6 liter engine is slightly different - no such incidents have been recorded with it.

Body and interior

Over time, the trunk lid begins to wipe paintwork rear bumper. Dealers recognize the case as warranty and repaint problem areas. Also, many people notice the appearance of scuffs from the rear door seals.

The chrome on the rear emblem may "swell" after the first winter. Similar problems are found on the front emblem, the lower trim of the radiator grille and the PTF overlays.

Salon Renault Fluence soon begins to creak. The rattling appears around the seat belt and front head restraints. The steering wheel sometimes climbed already in the first year of operation. And in winter, leather inserts on the front seats often burst.

"Winter drops" from the ceiling light or front visors for modern car Not unusual. A similar phenomenon is observed here as well.

Other problems and malfunctions

During the period winter operation many complain of a "freezing" left leg. One of possible causes- a gap between the pipes of the air ducts, through which cold air penetrates.

The heater fan motor (from 3,500 rubles) can fail after 100-150 thousand km. Soon the button for opening the trunk also gives up.

The head unit is often “buggy”: it turns off, resets the settings, spits out or does not read discs, or turns off the speakers. At the same time, many complain about the poor reception of radio stations, and after 5-6 years they may begin to climb the buttons on the radio.

In general, minor electrical glitches are no stranger to Fluence. Most often, everything is cured by turning off the ignition, well, or by tightening the battery terminals.

Conclusion

Many units, such as the engine and gearboxes, were used on Renault Megan of the second generation, and after modernization they were installed on new model. Apparently, the work to improve the units was carried out hastily and not deep enough, since some of the "sores" migrated from there.
