The cost of the first generation of the car in 2005 was about 25 thousand dollars. Currently on secondary market you can find such a crossover for about 500 thousand dollars. The amount may vary depending on the condition and mileage of the vehicle.
The second generation of the crossover
At the end of 2007, Nissan showed in Los Angeles new nissan Murano second generation. Sales of the car, whose style has become more like the Rogue model, started a year later. The interior of the crossover has noticeably changed, the rear part has been updated, the finishing materials have become more expensive and of high quality.
The vehicle's engine remained unchanged - although its power increased from 245 to 265 hp. with., as a gearbox for Russian configurations still, the variator was used. Foreign modifications were produced with a 6-band automatic. And for the assembly, the Nissan D platform was used - the same as for the release of the Teana II model.
In 2010, the model underwent a slight restyling, having received a number of changes:

Unlike the previous generation, the second generation of the car was already produced in 4 trim levels. The basic version was distinguished by a keyless entry system, remote control of the rear seat backs, a premium audio system, a camera with a night mode function and satellite navigation. The latest generation of the model
Produced since 2016 in St. Petersburg, the new Murano received an improved undercarriage, increased ground clearance by a few millimeters and an extended track. Other differences include improved aerodynamics and visibility, reduced weight, comfortable seating and slightly more knee room for second-row passengers. The trunk has increased by 50 liters and now 452 liters are placed in the cargo compartment. With the seatbacks folded down, 1.6 cubic meters fit inside the crossover.

Car equipment
In Russia, the new Nissan Murano was sold in 4 standard trim levels. The first is distinguished by the presence of leather trim, remote engine start, electric drive of the first row of seats and a two-zone microclimate system. The High modification also had speakers with a subwoofer, navigation and voice control.
An even more expensive version, High+, which costs close to 3 million, has front-row ventilation and improved seat adjustment settings. The most expensive option is equipped with a multimedia system for rear passengers and a panoramic roof.

The third generation of the Nissan Murano full-size crossover, like the previous two, was developed in the USA - specifically for the North American market. This model from America will not be delivered to our country - its assembly is arranged at the factory Japanese brand in St. Petersburg. Of course, the novelty is fully adapted for operation in Russia, for which the engineers of Nissan Manufacturing Rus had to work hard. Judging by the test drives and reviews of the owners of Murano 2016 model year, adaptation efforts have certainly not been in vain. What can we expect from the "SUV" that Nissan's American designers almost ruined in the second generation, and did it get better after the update? Let's go over the points!
Design
Murano 2016 is exactly the case when the car is some kind of space-futuristic outside, but simple and practical inside. At the same time, we note that with all the external futurism, the designers of the Japanese brand tried to fit into the exterior of the new model the standard elements of recognition of the Nissan line that has developed over the past couple of years. We are talking about the traditional chrome letter "V" on the radiator grille, characteristic of the Qashqai, X-Trail and Pathfinder, as well as LED headlights and boomerang-shaped taillights - for the first time such optics were seen on the Nissan 370Z sports coupe.
In addition, in the exterior of the crossover there are twenty-inch alloy wheels in huge wheel arches, a raised hood, expressive side lines of the body, rear windows with tinting and "hovering" over rear pillars a roof reminiscent of the flybridge of expensive ocean yachts. The “stern” of the third Murano can safely be given five points for the original red and white optics, a stylish bumper with a chrome trim and a “space” shape in general. In general, this is a car with a very modern and memorable appearance, clearly inspired by the 2013 Resonance concept car.
Design
Like its predecessor, the 2016 Murano is based on the Nissan D design - a similar platform underpins the Maxima, Pathfinder, Teana, Elgrand and Quest. With the old version, the novelty is united by the same wheelbase along with the attachment points of the subframes to the body, the floor panel and the suspension schemes - it also has a MacPherson strut in front and a multi-link suspension in the back. The “SUV” also retained all-wheel drive with an electronically controlled multi-plate clutch on rear axle and hydraulic power steering, but the settings of shock absorbers and springs have changed and stiffer stabilizers have appeared roll stability(the front became stiffer by 5%, and the back - by 23%).
Adaptation to Russian conditions
Work on adapting the third generation crossover for Russia was carried out for 8 months, as a result of which its suspension became more assembled and handling improved significantly. Of course, the Murano wasn't turned into a speed junkie's dream, but it was definitely made into a super-comfortable family car. Thanks to the All Mode 4x4-i all-wheel drive, you can get off-road, but you shouldn’t abuse it, because the clearance for driving over rough terrain is small (184 mm), and the ability to choose different driving modes, depending on the traffic situation, alas, is not provided - in this case, everything is run by automation.
Comfort
After the change of generations, Murano has increased the volume of the luggage compartment - now it is 454 liters, and with the rear sofa backs folded - 1603 liters, while the previous version had room in the trunk from 402 to 1510 liters. luggage. The shape of the cargo compartment is convenient, but the loading height is a little more than necessary. Under the floor is a full-size spare tire and Bose audio center subwoofer. It should be noted that this is not the most spacious trunk in its class, but it is designed in such a way that it is as comfortable as possible on the second row of seats. There is plenty of space for rear passengers in the cabin, and the landing is very comfortable due to the correctly chosen angle of the sofa, which in itself is quite soft and comfortable. Both the rear and front seats feature thoughtful ergonomics, as they were developed in conjunction with NASA. Zero Gravity Seats provide a neutral body position and reduce stress on the back, spine and lower back.
The new Murano has heated seats, a rear sofa, and a multifunctional steering wheel. Ventilation is available only for the front seats, which, by the way, have built-in displays in the headrests entertainment system for second row passengers, as well as USB and HDMI inputs. For complete happiness here, perhaps, the only thing missing is heating the windshield with incandescent filaments. Leather, plastic, textiles, chrome and mother-of-pearl details are used for interior design. The salon is decorated with an elegant center console, whose outlines echo the V-shaped trim on the grille. The dashboard is quite informative and readable and has a classic layout: two wells with a speedometer and a tachometer + a screen with high image quality, and not some small monochrome, but a seven-inch color one. You can scroll through the pages of the screen and select the information displayed on it using the button located on the right spoke of the steering wheel.
The extensive use of high-strength steel has made the body of the model lighter and more rigid, as evidenced by the results of crash tests by the North American IIHS institute, including a rollover test. The essence of this test: the angle of the roof is subjected to a load, which gradually increases until the moment of critical deformation, and the machine is considered safe if it is able to withstand a load of at least 4 times its own weight. Murano 2016 scores 4.54 on this test ( previous version- 3.15), which, together with the successful completion of other tests (including the small overlap frontal crash test), provided it with the highest Top Safety Pick + safety score.
Murano Infotainment 2016 - Nissan Connect latest generation equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen. The new multimedia system has a voice control function that allows you to control navigation, listen to your favorite music and make calls without being distracted from driving. To listen to music tracks, you can use a Bluetooth-connected phone, iPod, and in general any gadget connected using a linear AUX cable with a 3.5 mm plug. The USB and AUX sockets are hidden under a cover in a niche on the transmission tunnel. The rear passengers have their own "multimedia" (option) with two screens integrated into the headrests of the front seats, and a remote control in a special niche.
Nissan Murano Specifications
As standard, the third Murano is equipped with an aluminum 6-cylinder V-shaped “aspirated” VQ35DE with a volume of 3.5 liters, which debuted in 2000 on the Nissan Elgrand. Such an engine, which produces as much as 249 hp. and 325 Nm and using variable valve timing technology, there are molybdenum-coated pistons to reduce friction, forged steel connecting rods and crankshaft, and an adjustable intake manifold. With the "six", which at best consumes 10.5 liters. gasoline per 100 km (contrary to the manufacturer's statement), only a variator transmission (CVT) with 7 virtual steps is combined. An alternative here is a hybrid installation, consisting of a 2.5-liter gasoline “four” QR25DER and a synchronous 3-phase electric motor.
