Toyota land cruiser prado weight. "Toyota Land Cruiser Prado": owner reviews, specifications

Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, 2010

I took a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado in 2010 from a dealer (before that I drove the 120th Prado), I did not participate in a test drive, so I got behind the wheel for the first time after purchase. After the first hour of running around the city, I noticed that it was a terribly stupid move (I compare it with his “little brother”), although the gear shifting pleased me, and the control was easy. But at idle, the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado hardly rides, the foot is constantly on the accelerator pedal. But this is a plus, such as a smooth ride. Consumption in the city is a little and not a little - 23-25 liters. As for the interior of the cabin - here I am very grateful to the design skills of the creators of the TLCP 150. Dashboard, electric steering wheel adjustment, divine multifunction steering wheel, and even such a trifle as: aux, usb, refrigerator in the armrest. All this can be listed for a very long time. There are also minor cons, such as erasing plastic on the steering wheel lining and door coverings. But all this is nothing compared to soft seats, the upholstery of which is made of good leather. In general, I give 10 points out of 10 for the interior of the car. In the end, I will say that the car is worthy of attention, from the 7 years of experience that I spent driving the Prado.

Advantages : interior, exterior, practicality, comfort, easy handling, ride smoothness.

disadvantages : a considerable expense, dullness, expensive operation.

Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, 2012

The first time was just delighted with the new car. And experienced only the happiness of driving. A very practical car, I had a chance to pull cattle from the ravine and drive off-road. At the moment naezdil 12 thousand km. I changed the oil twice, because I try to do it in the range of 5-10 thousand km. Well, at the same time the oil filter by itself. I fill only motor oil from Toyota in such an iron canister. The engine of my Toyota Land Cruiser Prado is 2.7-liter - enough with a “head”. It easily travels along the highway at a speed of 150 km / h, but you don’t want to go faster. The car can be very useful on the farm, I was worried through the mud that it would get stuck in the field, but I got out calmly, I didn’t sit down even once. So besides, when we went to the sea, I pulled my brother on the “fourth” Pajero on the sand. I skated a couple of months on the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 150th, diesel engine 3.0 liter (work vehicle), non-turbocharged, with mechanical box and almost “naked” interior - the most affordable option. On the track maximum speed 140 km / h, but you walk through the mud, like on a tank. That's just when you drive along the highway - the engine is running so loud that people nearby may think that this is a plane with a turboprop flying.

Advantages : comfortable and practical car.

disadvantages : Cabin filter.

Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, 2013

When you just got behind the wheel of a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, as if you were in another world, all the defects of the road go unnoticed, if you used to slow down somewhere, then with the Prado, in principle, you don’t notice problem areas, especially when it comes to w / d ways. When I passed through such a railway crossing, not a single blow, not the slightest feeling of discomfort. I would also like to talk about soundproofing, main disadvantage if the engine is high speed, then the sound of the engine is heard in the cabin, but extraneous noises do not penetrate into the cabin anymore. In general, the sound quality is excellent. There is also this type pavement when the asphalt is not even, but like a washboard, we have a lot of such roads in the region. And if earlier on past cars when driving on such roads there was an unpleasant rumble in the car, then the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado almost does not care about such a rumble, and I also consider this a considerable plus. As for the salon itself, I really liked it - it looks beautiful, stylish, dark in color, sharpening under a tree, it looks great, I also really liked the electronic scoreboard, beautiful, bright and interesting performance, it is perfectly readable both in the dark and in the daytime . Well, the question that interests most car owners is that the car has an appetite. At first, I rode measuredly, all the same, the car was running in, when you drive slowly, you are not in a hurry, it eats up about 6 liters per 100 km, well, to be specific - “slowly”, this is at a speed of up to 80 km / h. And I would also like to note regarding the issue of gasoline or diesel fuel. So that's all diesel cars differ in some special strong and irritating smell, it just makes me sick, but my Toyota Land Cruiser Prado smells completely different, far from so specific, and in principle I almost don’t notice it. I believe this is due to the fact that the Japanese first "tinkered" it in accordance with the Euro 4 standards, and then returned it to the Euro 3 standard again. And such a feature came out.

Advantages : comfort, suspension, the scoreboard is perfectly readable, the quality of the noise is excellent.

disadvantages : I do not see.

In addition, the display shows the readings of the on-board computer, phone data or multimedia. The new Toyota Touch 2 multimedia system uses a 7-inch high-resolution display, offers improved touch controls and more advanced functionality. Sales of upgraded version Russian market started in November 2013. Another update affected the car in 2015, while the LC Prado received a new engine from the Global Diesel (GD) family and a 6-speed automatic transmission for all powertrains.

Land Cruiser Prado sample 2014 model year offered three engine options. These are familiar from the pre-styling version of the 2.7-liter 4-cylinder 2TR-FE gasoline engine with 163 hp. (246 Nm), 4.0-liter gasoline V6 series 1GR-FE with 282 hp. (385 Nm), as well as a four-cylinder turbodiesel engine with a volume of 3 liters 1KD-FTV with a capacity of 173 hp. (410 Nm.). Since 2015, the latter has been replaced by the 2.8-liter "four" of the GD series, equipped with a compact variable geometry turbocharger and Common Rail direct injection operating at a pressure of 2200 bar. The technical highlight of the new engine is step-by-step fuel injection into the cylinders, which allows you to smoothly ignite diesel fuel in small portions, thereby reducing shock loads. New engine has a high return (177 hp and 450 Nm) and with a new six-speed "automatic" provides "Prado" acceleration to 100 km/h in 12.7 seconds. The new "automatic" since 2015 has become available for other engines. Previously, all engines were equipped with a 5-speed automatic transmission, and for a 2.7-liter engine, in addition to the 5-speed manual (remaining in the lineup), a 4-speed "automatic" was offered.

Changes to the suspension tuning of the upgraded Land Cruiser Prado have improved handling and comfort. The level of noise and vibrations has been reduced. In addition to permanent all-wheel drive with differential locks, the LC Prado offers a range of high-tech "off-road" systems, including a kinetic stabilization system of the suspension (KDSS), a driving mode selection system (Multi-terrain Select system, paired with automatic transmission), a system of assistance when overcoming obstacles in slow motion (Crawl Control ). Another new electronic assistant is the trailer sway control system. Despite the fact that the front overhang of the 5-door model increased by 2 cm after restyling, the main geometric parameters of the cross-country ability (angles of entry, exit and ramp) remained unchanged.

The standard set of Prado security systems is represented by the following equipment: these are ABS + EBD systems, BAS emergency brake booster, exchange rate stability, center differential increased friction TORSEN, forced locking of the central differential; active head restraints in the front row of seats, front and side airbags, curtain airbags, a knee airbag for the driver, an Isofix child seat mounting system. In more expensive trim levels, the above innovative control systems are used. undercarriage car, as well as lane change assistants (including monitoring of "blind spots"), driving in reverse and other features aimed at improving the safety of the off-road vehicle.

Toyota Land Cruiser Prado is one of the most popular 4x4 off-road vehicles, which from the moment of its debut to this day remains relevant and the most discussed in Russia and Europe. Indeed, it is unlikely that any jeep, except for the Prado, will be so in demand at the primary and secondary market. Moreover, the price for it does not fall sharply, as, for example, for the Japanese counterpart of the Mitsubishi Pajero. But is it worth paying more? Find out the answer to this question in our review of the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado. Specifications and reviews further in our story.

Design

Despite the fact that the Toyota Prado is positioned as a full-size SUV, it looks more like a crossover in design. So Japanese manufacturers we tried to bring the jeep as close as possible to the dynamic city life and at the same time did not deprive it of its main advantages - high ground clearance and permanent drive 4x4.

Outwardly, the car is very reminiscent of a solid executive class jeep, rather than any youth SUV. No aggressive forms in front. Even the optics, and that one is maximally smoothed and pulled up to the hood. The arches in front and behind are quite muscular and against the background of large alloy wheels look very handy. The stern of the Land Cruiser Prado SUV is pulled up as high as possible, thanks to which it can easily overcome difficult off-road tracks.

Judge for yourself, which SUV can drive on such a primer? Yes, on the very first meters, he will burrow his “belly” into the mud. Well, it’s not in vain that motorists praise the Prado so much for its current design and high cross-country ability.

Salon

In total, two modifications of the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado SUV are produced on the world market - with a three- and five-door body. The latter option has gained great popularity in Russia. Depending on the configuration, the interior of the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado SUV could accommodate from 5 to 8 passengers, which is 2 times less than that of its three-door counterpart. By the way, three-doors were not officially imported to Russia. Therefore, it is almost impossible to meet them on our roads. As for trunk volume, as standard, the Prado can hold up to 620 liters of luggage (and this is without the rear row of seats folded down).

As for the interior design itself, in this aspect, the SUV simply has no analogues. Despite the fact that the first release of the Prado in the version that can now be seen on our roads was produced in 2002, its interior cannot be called boring or outdated. By the way, the very first Prado modifications were released in 1996, but then it was a simple three-door jeep with round headlights and an ascetic interior. Only after a global update at the beginning of the 2000s did he gain incredible popularity in the world market.

The ergonomics of the interior of the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado SUV (diesel) was brought to almost perfection. Everywhere soft and pleasant to the touch plastic, beautiful inserts "under the tree", leather and velor. The quality of fitting all the details deserves a solid "five". Judging by the reviews of motorists, the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado is one of the few cars in which the build level does not require additional explanation. The interior of the jeep is ideal in almost all respects. Soundproofing deserves special attention. It has been improved so much that the noise of the motor can be heard only at high speeds.

"Land Cruiser Prado": specifications

In total, the Prado engine range covers 6 power plants. Among them there are 4 petrol ones, as well as 2 diesel units. In Russia, two engines are the most popular.

Among them are a 4-cylinder unit with a volume of 2.7 liters and a V-shaped installation for 6 cylinders with a displacement of 4.0 liters. In addition, there were modifications with a 3-liter turbodiesel unit.

About transmissions and drive

As for gearboxes, the Land Cruiser Prado was equipped with several types of transmissions. Among them were two "automatic" (for 4 and 5 speeds), as well as one five-speed "mechanics". The drive of the Japanese Toyota Prado SUV is different depending on the sales market. It can be either permanently all-wheel drive (that is, all wheels are driving all the time), or switchable. The latter option was not officially delivered to Russia, so all Prado SUVs that are sold with us have a constant 4x4 wheel arrangement.

"Land Cruiser Prado": reviews of car owners

Judging by the information contained in the reviews, we can draw the following conclusion. SUV "Land Cruiser Prado" is perfect car for those who prefer first of all quality, comfort and reliability. According to its technical abilities, the Prado can be used both on asphalt terrain (acceleration dynamics are just crazy) and on complete off-road.

The Land Cruiser is a real all-terrain vehicle that, despite its glamorous appearance, can simultaneously give odds and sports sedans, and all-wheel drive SUVs. In terms of reliability, we can say that the car is one of the most maintainable. For the entire period of operation, the jeep requires only periodic topping up of oil and there is no headache with the engine - its resource is designed to operate for decades. The same can be said about the body - rust is not an enemy for him. But the Japanese did not guess with fuel consumption. Something, but the "gluttony" of the car is noticed immediately. The average fuel consumption of a jeep per "hundred" is 18-25 liters. This is perhaps the only drawback this vehicle. Otherwise, the Land Cruiser Prado remains perfect. And it's not for nothing that it has been holding onto the world market for so many years despite crises and constantly growing competitors.

Conclusion

So, we found out all the features of the Japanese Toyota Prado SUV. As practice has shown, this jeep is designed for more than one generation of motorists. And it looks like the Japanese are not going to take it out of production at all.

If so, then soon the Prado will repeat the history of its counterpart called the Jeep Willis (Wrangler), which has been mass-produced for more than seventy years.
