Hello dear friends, today I suggest you cook delicious banana puffs. I decided to add some variety to my salad world and from time to time I will publish my other culinary creations, but of course there will be more salads and various master classes.

I make banana puffs from ready-made puff pastry. In general, I am a big fan of this type of dough and I always have it in my freezer. Therefore, I sometimes cook various goodies with it. You can use any filling, we still have apple puffs in high esteem. Well, and, of course, meat, without meat we are nowhere.

For puff pastry, it is better to use a “drier” filling, otherwise the moisture will transfer to the dough, and it will taste as if unbaked. Grease a baking sheet with a minimum amount of oil, but it is better to use parchment paper for baking in general. If you generously grease a baking sheet with oil, then the puffs will absorb a lot of oil and the taste will deteriorate a little. . I added very little sugar, about 1/3 teaspoon for each puff. Or you can exclude it altogether, it will turn out no less tasty, but you will save yourself from additional calories. Here, of course, you are more guided by your taste. I have made both with and without sugar.

Cooking:

Everything is very simple here and such puffs are made quickly. To begin with, of course, we need to get the dough out of the freezer and defrost it at room temperature.

I had two layers of dough in the package, I cut each layer into 6 parts. Rolled it thin.

Cut bananas into slices. And on each rolled out layer of dough we place our filling, sprinkle lightly with sugar. At the top of the puff, immediately make small cuts, this will release steam and the pastries will not lose their shape.

Then we cover with the other half of the dough and press down the edges of the puff with a fork, this will better hold them together, and also give a beautiful look.

We spread our puffs on a greased baking sheet and send them to the oven preheated to 200C for about 30 minutes. First of all, you are guided by your own. Each housewife knows her oven and it will probably take you much less time to cook.

This dish is suitable for those who want to enjoy something tasty and not very healthy for the figure. It doesn't take long to prepare the dessert, but it tastes just as good as what takes hours to make.

Ingredients

  • puff pastry (400 g);
  • bananas (2 pcs.);
  • chocolate (40 g) - it is better to take milk, but if you are delighted with bitter, take it;
  • chicken egg (1 pc.).

Recipe

  1. Turn on the oven at 230 degrees immediately to heat it up while you prepare the puffs. Next, sprinkle the table and the dough itself (prepare on the basis of the store) with a small amount of flour so that nothing sticks. Roll out the puff pastry so that it becomes a rectangle, then cut off the excess.
  2. Cut the bananas into thin slices and set aside so as not to interfere.
  3. Back to the test again. Cut it into several equal rectangular pieces (according to the number of buns).
  4. Using a kitchen knife or fork (a pizza cutter is recommended), make small cuts on one side of each piece to allow steam to escape. Decorate puff pastry with banana and chocolate. Chocolate can be added in chunks for more filling.
  5. Brush the edges of the pastry with egg white so that the pastry comes together easily. Put the free half of it on top of the filling and press down so that the chocolate does not leak out during baking.

For 8 pieces:

  • 500 g of yeast-free puff pastry;
  • 2 bananas;
  • 50 g dark chocolate;
  • 1 egg;
  • optionally - a couple of dozen pitted cherries.

We also need confectionery parchment, a little vegetable oil to lubricate it, a regular knife and for curly cutting dough, a fork and a silicone brush.

How to bake:

We take out the puff pastry from the freezer in advance, let it lie down at room temperature for half an hour. You can't defrost it in the microwave. Let it slowly thaw on its own.
