Nissan x trial. Russian Nissan X-Trail in the back of T32, what the owners say

Sales market: Russia.

small SUV Nissan X-Trail, presented in Russia by the second generation, outwardly retained continuity with the previous generation, however, it is built on a completely new Nissan C platform. Having retained almost the same wheelbase dimensions, new nissan X-Trail has noticeably grown in length (now it is 4630 mm against 4455 for the previous generation). Accordingly, other dimensions which had a positive effect not only on appearance(the car began to look more solid), but also on the size of the interior space. New car became more technologically advanced and safer, received an even more comfortable trunk and interior, the instrument panel returned to its usual place (in front of the driver) - this is perhaps the most noticeable change in the cabin.

In Russia, the car is offered in two main performance levels: "SE" and "LE", while each has an additional set of trim levels, which makes the overall list of options quite impressive. If we talk about the basic equipment, then it includes on-board computer, climate control, air ducts for rear passengers, multifunction steering wheel with tilt and reach adjustment, CD player with USB and mp3 support; power windows, heated front seats, light and rain sensors; many containers, cup holders and pockets, including a console box with an armrest and a function for heating and cooling cup holders. As for the more expensive versions, in the maximum equipment, the X-Trail gets all the attributes of a luxury car: leather interior, cruise control, smart key, alloy wheels eighteen"; leather upholstery of the steering wheel, gear lever and parking brake handle; audio system with 9 speakers incl. subwoofer, panoramic sunroof electric, color multifunction display, all-round cameras and other "usefulness". There is also a maximally simplified version of "XE" that comes with simple salon and only with mechanical box gears, but, on the other hand, the cost of the X-Trail in this configuration is a little more than 1 million rubles.

This SUV is equipped with one of two gasoline engines or diesel engine. Gasoline power units with a volume of 2.0 (MR20DE) and 2.5 liters (QR25DE) have a capacity of 141 and 169 hp, respectively. and are equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission or stepless variator X-Tronic CVT with the ability to manually shift gears. The diesel X-Trail (manual or 6-speed automatic) comes with a 2.0-liter M9R engine with direct injection and 150 hp. The maximum torque of 320 Nm is already reached at 2000 rpm. In terms of energy intensity and efficiency, this particular equipment option seems ideal for a crossover designed for trips both around the city and outside the city.

The chassis of the car has also changed. The car received an intelligent all-wheel drive system Intelligent All Mode 4x4-i, which reads data from sensors ESP, steering angle and accelerator pedal position. This system anticipates wheel slip and redistributes the torque between the front and rear wheels in the required proportion. At the front, the car has an independent McPherson-type spring suspension mounted on a subframe, and at the rear - independent multi-link suspension. The new X-Trail is also more prepared for off-road driving and is equipped with Uphill Start Support (USS) - help on the ascent and Downhill Drive Support (DDS) - help when descending (except for the configuration with a 2-liter engine and manual transmission).

Compared to the previous generation, the list of security systems included in the basic version has become even more impressive. This is an anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic system distribution braking forces(EBD), Brake Assist, front and side airbags for the driver and front passenger, window curtain airbags, active front seat head restraints, mounts for child seat ISOFIX. All seat belts are in a three-point version, the front ones are with pretensioners (on the driver's seat - with a double pretensioner) and force limiters. All seats are equipped with seat belt warning.

Already the second generation of the X-Trail crossover shows a high class with its rich equipment. In addition, the manufacturer has again managed to achieve the perfect combination of sophistication and elegance, characteristic of passenger car, with the power, durability and reliability of an SUV. It is worth adding that this is also a very practical car, the interior and trunk of which is thought out to the smallest detail.

Read completely

(3rd generation) is based on the CMF modular platform, which is a modern variation of the Nissan C platform. Most of the car body elements are made of high-strength steels, which significantly lighten the total weight of the structure. The curb weight of the crossover, depending on the modification, varies in the range of 1525-1675 kg.

The Russian specification of the Nissan X-Trail provides for the presence of three power units: two gasoline “aspirated” with a volume of 2.0 and 2.5 liters (144 and 171 hp, respectively), as well as a 1.6 dCi turbocharged diesel engine with a return of 130 hp. (320 Nm). Both gasoline engines were also installed on the previous generation (X-Trail T31), however, during the upgrade of the crossover, they were upgraded, resulting in a slight increase in power. The engine can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or an XTronic CVT that emulates seven ranges. Along with the front-wheel drive layout, all-wheel drive with intelligent system all-wheel drive All Mode 4 × 4-i.

The all-terrain vehicle suspension is a scheme with front MacPherson struts and a rear multi-link, with each of the modifications having its own chassis settings. The base volume of the trunk of the car is limited to 497 liters (with five seats), the maximum - 1585 liters (configuration with two front passengers and folded rear seatbacks).

The fuel consumption of the Nissan X-Trail T32 with a 2.0 engine is 7.1-11.2 liters, depending on the modification and driving mode. An all-wheel drive crossover with a 2.5 engine burns about 8.3 liters of fuel on average. The diesel X-Trail is the most economical - the consumption is not more than 5.3 liters of diesel fuel per 100 kilometers with a mixed driving cycle.

Nissan X-Trail T32 engines

1.6 dCi R9M 130 HP

The new turbodiesel Energy dCi 130 with the factory index R9M was developed by Renault-Nissan for the purpose of subsequent installation on their models. The release of the power unit was launched in 2011 in France. The engine belongs to a new generation of motors, which are distinguished by efficiency, high torque and low carbon dioxide emissions. The power unit is equipped with a Start / Stop system, a variable geometry compressor, an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system with a cold cycle, direct injection Direct Injection. The R9M cylinder block is made of cast iron, the block head is made of aluminum, the pistons are graphite coated.

The maximum torque of 320 Nm is reached at 1750 rpm, while 80% of the peak torque is already available at 1500 rpm. The engine complies with the requirements of the Euro 5 standard, but is also prepared for the transition to Euro 6. The motor is also installed on cars, and.

2.0 MR20DD 144 HP

The MR20DD gasoline engine is a refurbished MR20DE unit from the previous Ixtrail. During the upgrade, the engine was equipped with a variable valve timing system on both camshafts, intake manifold with variable length and direct injection. As a result, power has increased from 141 to 144 hp, and torque has increased from 196 to 200 Nm.

2.5 QR25DE 171 HP

The QR25DE four-cylinder engine is a real long-liver, as it appeared back in 1999 and was installed on the very first Nissan X-Trail. During its life, the unit has been repeatedly updated, having received another batch of innovations by the time the third generation of Ixtrail debuted. The motor has acquired a new block head with holes for nozzles (previously nozzles were installed on the manifold), a phase change system on the intake and exhaust valves, and an inlet tract with adjustable length. All this, together with an increase in the compression ratio from 9.6 to 10.0, gave a gain of 2 hp. (171 against the previous 169 hp) At the same time, the peak torque of the engine has shifted from 4400 to 4000 rpm.

All-wheel drive Nissan X-Trail

The Nissan Xtrail crossover is a front-wheel drive car with a plug-in rear axle. The main component of the All Mode 4×4-i system is an electromagnetic clutch mounted in front of the rear differential. The all-wheel drive system can be controlled using a three-mode switch located on the central tunnel.

The “2WD” position provides for opening the clutch, however, in this mode, the crossover still does not become exclusively front-wheel drive. If electronics sees fit, part of the effort will go to rear axle, but still the connection will be reluctant. The 4WD mode is suitable for almost any conditions, therefore, most likely, it will be used by the owner most often. The rear axle in this case is connected automatically when the front wheels slip. The ratio of transmitted torque varies from 100:0 to 50:50.

In the "Lock" mode, maximum current is applied to the clutch solenoid, as a result of which the clutch is completely blocked. At the same time, the force is distributed in a fixed ratio of 50:50, which is forcibly maintained when driving at speeds up to 40 km / h. Exceeding this speed limit leads to the transition to the "Auto" mode.

The design of the all-wheel drive does not provide for the presence of full-fledged locks for the front and rear differentials. Electronic imitation of wheel locks is performed by braking a slipping wheel.

Good afternoon. In today's article, we will talk about the weaknesses of the Nissan X-Trail (Nissan X-Trail) of various modifications. Traditionally for our site, the article will have a lot of photos and videos.

Model history.

Nissan x-trail has been produced since 2001 by Nissan in Japan, Canada, Russia and the UK. During the release, the car changed 3 generations, each of which differed in platform, and went through several small restylings. Since the platforms are different, the weaknesses of each generation will be different, and we will consider them separately.

Separately, I would like to emphasize that the Nissan X-trail, of any generation, is not an SUV, it is an ordinary parquet floor and its place is on the pavement!

The main drive for this machine is front, all-wheel drive is connected automatically when one of the wheels slips and, by and large, is a driver assistance system. so-called. hard blocking center differential, connects rear axle multi-plate friction clutch, and operates at speeds up to 30 km / h, and then the system switches to automatic mode.

In general, the car outperforms Subaru Forester, Toyota RAV4, Honda SRV, but hopelessly behind Land Rover Freedlander and (it's a downshift in the transmission).

First generation Nissan X-Trail (Nissan X-Trail T30).

The first generation of the car is based on the upgraded Nissan FF-S platform, previously Nissan Almeria and Nissan Primera. Produced from 2002 to 2007. A distinctive feature of the car is the inconvenient arrangement of instruments (in the center of the panel).

X-Trail T30 is found with 2.0 liter gasoline engines. (140 hp), and 2.5 liters. (165 hp), as well as with a 2.2 liter diesel engine. (114 HP)

If you come across an export X-Trail from Japan, it's a bit more interesting - a 2.0-liter gasoline engine in a naturally aspirated version develops 150 hp. 150 HP and 280 hp with turbocharging.

In 2003, the first generation was restyled, while bumpers and interior trim were changed, and engine power increased slightly.

In the case of Russia, the choice of a car on the mechanics with a 2.5-liter engine seems to be optimal. Its fuel consumption is almost the same as version 2.0 (and in the urban cycle it will often be lower), and the transport tax remains at an acceptable level. Spare parts are also common.

The diesel is more economical than the petrol versions, but suffers from maintenance problems, there are few diesel specialists.

The Nissan X-Trail is a compact SUV launched in 2001. The 1st generation X-Trail received the factory designation T30. It is built on the Nissan FF-S platform, which underlies the popular Nissan Primera and Almera. In 2004, the X-Trail underwent a slight restyling. The release of the crossover continued until 2007, then it was replaced by the second generation - the T-31.

The SUV won the hearts of lovers of country rest and became very popular. Those who wish to purchase a universal off-road vehicle will easily find quite a few ads for its sale. big and roomy crossover with outstanding off-road capabilities at a reasonable price - a good deal. But ... is everything so smooth? Let's follow the trail!

Engines

The Nissan X-Trail engine range included two petrol and one diesel unit. The first were represented by 2-liter (QR20DE, 140 hp) and 2.5-liter (QR25DE, 165 hp).

Nissan engines of the QR series suffer from rapid ring coking due to an unsuccessful oil separation system in the valve cover. In 2004, the design of the pistons was improved, and the number of problems decreased slightly. Engines of this series begin to take oil at a run of just over 100,000 km, and the situation becomes catastrophic at around 150 - 190 thousand km with an oil consumption of 2-3 liters per 10,000 km. Most often, this problem overtakes engines with a working volume of 2.5 liters. Replacing rings with valve stem seals will cost 30,000 rubles. I would like to note that gasoline engines have too many overhauls caused by high oil consumption, and even before the 200,000 km mark ...

With a run of more than 140 - 160 thousand km, oil may appear in the candle wells due to "hardened" oil seals. They can be replaced both as an assembly with a valve cover (5-6 thousand rubles), as many car services advise, or separately - only the seals themselves, which will come out much cheaper.

The chain can stretch after 140 - 160 thousand km, which will cause interruptions in the engine, tripling and loss of traction. By this time, the turn of the chain tensioner may also come up.

After 160 - 180 thousand km, most likely, you will have to clean throttle valve. Its contamination makes it difficult to start a cold engine and is one of the causes of unstable operation.

With a run of more than 100 thousand km, it will be useful to replace fuel filter in the tank.

On 2-liter engines until 2004, another problem loomed, caused by the early destruction of the working cells of the catalyst. The decomposition products were drawn into the working cylinders, and they, acting as an abrasive, left scuff marks on the cylinder walls. This led to a decrease in compression and an increase in oil consumption.

The cylinder head gasket on 2-liter units is often surrendered after 160 - 180 thousand km. This will be indicated by the falling level of antifreeze and bubbles in the expansion tank.

Problems with starting a cold engine and interruptions in the operation of a 2.5-liter engine with a mileage of more than 130 - 150 thousand km are most often caused by a failed position sensor crankshaft(1.5 - 2 thousand rubles).

The diesel engine (YD22) with a working volume of 2.2 liters is found in 2 versions: with a capacity of 114 hp until 2004 and 136 hp. after 2004. The first has a mechanical injection pump with electronic control, the second is the Comon Rail high pressure fuel injection system. This engine does not require overhaul, but has weaknesses.

The first problems with a diesel engine arise, as a rule, after 140 - 160 thousand km. Often this is the need to replace injectors (original 16 thousand rubles) or a fuel pressure sensor. The fuel pressure valve in the injection pump is one of the main culprits in the unstable operation of a diesel engine, less often the cause is in the mass air flow or crankshaft position sensors.

After 180 - 200 thousand km, you will most likely have to replace the stretched chain and its tensioner. The turbine is quite tenacious and correct operation walks at least 220-250 thousand km.

After 100,000 km, a lot of problems are caused by the DPF particulate filter in the exhaust system. Unexpected smoke, loss of traction and the inability to increase the engine speed above 2000 indicates the inclusion of the regeneration mode. Replacing with a new filter will cost up to 80 thousand rubles. A cheaper, but radical method is the complete or partial removal of the filter, followed by flashing the ECU.

Radiators leak infrequently, but this happens with a run of more than 140 - 160 thousand km (4-5 thousand rubles).

Transmission

The manual transmission is very reliable. There are no problems with her. The clutch lives up to 140 - 180 thousand km, in harsh conditions its service life will be limited to 80 - 100 thousand km. To replace it, you will have to pay 8-12 thousand rubles for a new set and 6-8 thousand rubles for work. It is almost impossible to diagnose the approaching death of the clutch - it works to the last and then immediately dies.

The automatic transmission, although considered reliable, is not without problems. Not too costly - with a mileage of more than 180 - 200 thousand km - burning of contacts or failure of the relay that supplies power to the electromagnet, which unlocks the gear selector. After 200 thousand km, there were cases of breakdown of the planetary gearbox and breakage of splines. One of possible causes- failure of the oil pressure sensor in the box and, as a result, incorrect control signals. Recommendations for the prevention of such incidents are the replacement of this very sensor every 80 thousand km. Repair of an already bent box will cost 30-40 thousand rubles.

The transfer case often begins to leak after 150 - 170 thousand km.

Chassis

It is worth paying attention to the suspension. The stabilizer bushings take care of 40 - 60 thousand km, the stabilizer struts go about the same. With a run of more than 150 - 180 thousand km, the turn of suspension struts, silent blocks of levers and wheel bearings is most likely to come up.

Steering tips go 60 - 80 thousand km.

The front brake discs live up to 100 - 120 thousand km (2 - 3 thousand rubles), the front brake pads- up to 50 - 60 thousand km, and the rear pads - up to 80 - 90 thousand km.

Body and interior

The front fenders of the Nissan X-Trail T30 are made of plastic. A definite plus is the ease of construction and the impossibility of corrosion. Their disadvantage is the high price. As always, compassionate Chinese help out with their cheaper counterparts. Weakness on the body of a Japanese SUV - a tailgate. Corrosion centers appear along the edge of the chrome trim above the license plate. It is treated by sizing under the overlay with 2-sided tape.

Noise isolation is poor. Often the back seat rattles and the panels creak. Many have a backlash in the driver's seat. Often the rear seats refuse to fold due to a flying lock pin inside the back.

With a run of more than 60 - 80 thousand km, it often becomes necessary to repair the interior heater fan motor. There is noise when the oven is turned on. The reason is short-lived plain bearings, instead of which it would be appropriate to install conventional rolling bearings. Official dealer ready to replace the heater assembly for 5-6 thousand rubles, plus 10 thousand rubles for the heater itself. Self-disassembly of the stove and replacement of the bearing will cost several times cheaper.

Over time, due to the wedging of the electric motor bearing, the control resistor may burn out, and the stove will stop responding to a change in the position of the regulator. A simple replacement of the resistor in this case is not enough, since soon everything will repeat itself. There is only one way out - replacing the heater motor bearing. The engine withstands 3-4 successful repairs, then the heater assembly will have to be replaced.

Electricity sometimes shows its character. One of these moments is the spontaneous unlocking of doors and the inclusion of an emergency gang. This only happens when the ignition is on, and a failure occurs in the radio control unit. Treated - by adding an additional relay.

Sometimes when playing a CD, one of the sound channels is turned off - the reason is the loss of contact on the cable.

The alternator pulley can jam after 140 - 160 thousand km.

Conclusion

Fuel consumption for a 2-liter engine with a manual transmission will be about 13-14 liters in the city and 15-17 liters with a gun, on the highway it will take 9-10 liters. A 2.5 liter engine with a manual transmission in the city will ask for 13-16 liters, and with an automatic 14-17 liters, on the highway the consumption will be 10 - 11 liters. Diesel is a little more economical - 10 - 13 liters in the city and 7-9 liters on the highway.

This article provides detailed information about nissan car X-Trail latest generation Russian assembly in the back of the T32 - information about the engine and transmission, trim levels. Specifications are also given, a short review is made, and the advantages and disadvantages of the model are described.

Produced generations

Famous japanese crossover Nissan X-Trail has gained considerable popularity in Russia, it is characterized by high reliability, excellent technical characteristics, and exquisite design.

During the release of the brand, three generations have changed, the very first cars were first produced at home, in Japan.

The history of Xtrail begins in September 2000, when the car was shown at the Paris Motor Show.

The 1st generation Nissan X Trail in the T30 body is based on the Nissan FF-S platform, from the very beginning of production, the model has been produced in 4x4 versions and with front-wheel drive.

The second generation Ixtrail T31 was first introduced in Geneva in 2007, based on the Nissan C platform.

The third version of the crossover appeared in the autumn of 2013, and in December of the same year, the car began to be sold in Japan.

The new car in the T32 body was created on the basis of the Nissan CMF, the assembly of this model is carried out in many countries of the world, including the Russian Federation.

Nissan X-Trail T32 Russian Assembly

The “Japanese” is produced at the Nissan plant built in St. Petersburg, the first Ixtrail in Russia rolled off the assembly line in November 2009, and the factory workers started production of the 3rd generation in December 2014.

A car in the back of a T32 for Russians is offered:

  • in seven trim levels;
  • in versions with full and front wheel drive;
  • with two petrol and one diesel engine;
  • with mechanical 6-st. Gearbox and variator (CVT).

Nissan Qashqai and Ixtrail in the latest versions are often compared to each other, since the models are similar in many ways, from a distance they can even be confused.

But in previous generations, cars were completely different in design, and they had few common parts.

The new Nissan X Trail 3 is larger than the Qashqai, longer, taller and wider, and has a 76mm longer wheelbase.

But the crossover is not only good in large sizes, it is also presented in a fairly rich equipment, and on its “board”, even in the base, there are many different options.

Engines and transmission

In the line of crossover power units there are two gasoline internal combustion engines:

  • QR25DE, 2.5 l, 171 l. with.;
  • MR20DD, 2.0 l 144 l. with.

Both engines are 4-cylinder, 16-valve, injection. When driving around the city, there is no big difference in the volume of internal combustion engines, cars with both engines start equally vigorously, the dynamics are good and even.

Diesel Nissan X Trail - 1.6 l, Y9M models, turbocharged, 130 hp. with., four-cylinder in-line.

By the way, diesel engine only comes with a manual transmission all-wheel drive, 2.5 liter internal combustion engine QR25DE is equipped with a CVT, also with a 4x4 transmission.

The MR20DD engine is available in all variants: manual and CVT, 2WD and 4WD.

The Nissan X Trail CVT has received seven virtual gears, and the driver now has the ability to manually brake the engine.

X-Tronic works on the principle of a classic torque converter automatic transmission - when accelerating and shifting to another, higher gear, it somewhat slows down.

Trunk and interior

Compared to the previous generation T31, the Nissan X Trail T32 has increased in size, respectively, and the trunk has grown in size, its volume in the new model is 497 liters.

The second row seats move back and forth, and the backrests recline, and due to this, the luggage area can increase slightly.

An electric drive for opening the lock (hands-free system) is installed on the rear door, there are two shelves in the luggage compartment, which allow you to put the load in two tiers here.

The Hands-Free system works in this way: if the owner of the car has a car key in his pocket, it is enough to bring his hand to the trunk lock, and the electric drive will work, the door will open automatically.

On the back sofa, passengers should not feel cramped: there are so many places in the back that even a person under two meters tall will have a small space above their heads, and their knees do not rest on the front seat.

There is no tunnel in the middle of the floor at the back, and all three rear passenger are equally comfortable.

The interior trim of the car does not cause any complaints: the assembly is of high quality, the materials used are solid. Doors open at an angle of 77 degrees, which provides convenient boarding and disembarking of passengers.

Nissan X Trail specifications

Ixtrail T32 of the Russian assembly has very good off-road qualities even in the 4x2 version, good cross-country ability is ensured thanks to ground clearance at 210 mm.

The car is equipped with a classic crossover suspension: MacPherson strut in front, and a multi-link design on the rear axle.

The car is equipped with all disc brakes, there is an anti-lock braking system ABS and an EBD brake distributor.

On the T32, depending on the configuration, the 17th and 18th wheel disks, the steering provides the ability to change the effort on the steering wheel.

The wheelbase is 2705 mm, the curb weight depends on the modification of the crossover, and ranges from 1445 to 1637 kg.

Maximum allowable weight loaded car - 2130 kg, carrying capacity of the car - 435 kg.

The length of the new Nissan X Trail is 4640 and 1820 mm - width, height is measured in two values: with roof rails it is 1715 mm, without roof rails - 1700 mm.

Consumption Nissan fuel X-Trail may differ depending on the type of gearbox, engine, wheel drive (2WD or 4WD).

In the basic version of 4x2 with MR20DD internal combustion engine and manual transmission-6, a car consumes for 100 km:

  • in the city - 11.2 liters;
  • on the highway - 7.3 l;
  • in mixed mode highway / city - 8.6 liters.

According to passport data, fuel consumption does not exceed 11.3 liters (12.5 liters of variator), the minimum consumption per “hundred” is 4.8 liters - on the highway with a car with a diesel engine and “mechanics”.

Nissan X Trail configuration

In total, the Russian-assembled Ixtrail is available in seven trim levels, the simplest of which is the XE variant.

The basic version has:

  • heated windshield, mirrors and front seats;
  • six airbags;
  • ABS, EBA and EBD systems that increase braking efficiency;
  • driver assistance systems HHC, HDC, ESP;
  • electric drives of all windows and side mirrors;
  • audio system with four speakers and MP3 support, with a CD player and steering wheel controls;
  • on-board computer;
