The luggage compartment of the Chevrolet Lanos has comfortable shape, but its volume in the standard state is only 395 liters, although this is taking into account the full-size spare wheel in a niche under the raised floor. The back of the second row of seats is folded in a pair of unequal parts, but a flat floor is not obtained, and a small opening is formed into the cabin.

"Lanos" is based on a front-wheel drive platform with a transversely placed engine and an all-metal carrier-type body. The front suspension of the three-volume model is independent, lever-spring with McPherson struts, and the rear suspension is semi-independent with a U-shaped cross-section beam.
