Daewoo Nexia load capacity. Daewoo Nexia - first generation

Daewoo Nexia- front-wheel drive sedan, related to budget C-class. The car is of German origin. The point is that it is based on Opel Kadett. The technical characteristics of the Daewoo Nexia are almost completely identical to the more eminent "brother". The first such cars with the Daewoo nameplate appeared back in 1986. In 1995, the second generation of these "people's" cars was released, and in 2008, the model was restyled. It is noteworthy that for different markets, Daewoo was produced under different names (for example, Daewoo Racer).

Currently, cars are produced in many countries around the world. In particular, its production has been established in Russia, Uzbekistan and Romania. The machine is designed for the widest segments of the population. Despite the low cost, it gives the driver and passengers a sufficient degree of comfort during trips. The characteristics of the daewoo nexia make it possible to position it as a city car for every day. The appearance of the car is quite modern, and the interior will perfectly accommodate 4 adult passengers. Despite its budget, Daewoo Nexia"has a sufficient number of options and settings so that the feeling of fatigue does not appear in the process of moving from point "A" to point "B". The car is offered to customers in 2 basic trim levels: GL and GLE. The latter is considered "luxury".

In 2002, the car was equipped with a new 1.5-liter engine, which has a capacity of 80 Horse power. This power unit is the main one to this day. There is also a 16-valve variation of this 1.6-liter engine. Its power is 109 "horses". For the city, these characteristics are quite enough.

Thus, the Daewoo Nexia is a great car for the whole family. The car turned out to be inexpensive, unpretentious and quite comfortable. Naturally, do not forget that it belongs to the C-segment. Nexia is one of most popular cars sold in car dealerships.

This review will focus on the characteristics of the 2012 Daewoo Nexia.

Sedan category car with left-hand drive for a normal "quiet" ride. Daewoo Nexia has been an alternative for many years domestic cars and inexpensive foreign cars. Of the main advantages - relatively low cost, stable availability of spare parts, large trunk volume, overall endurance.

Nexia is available with 1.5-liter engines: 75-80 hp. (SOHC), 83 hp (DOHC); 1.6-l: 109 hp (DOHC). All engines run smoothly and economically with low levels of toxicity, equipped with a multi-port fuel injection system. External dimensions models of a four-door sedan in length-width-height: 4,482 x 1,662 x 1,393 mm. Basic equipment implies variations of the standard set.

We will talk about the characteristics of Daewoo Nexia 1.5 a little lower, and now we will touch on a brief historical aspect, and also conduct general review car. As already, the prototype of the 2012 Nexia N150 is the Daewoo Lemans, produced from 1986 to 1994, based on the Opel Kadett car from 1984. 1994 is the start date for the production of the South Korean Nexia.

The running gear is quite reliable. Replacements due to wear require the same standard parts as in any machine. Soft contours are combined with external aggressiveness. Good fast running without noises and rumbles, without shaking on idling. Warms up quickly in a cold garage or outside. Self-adjusting clutch, herringbone pedals. The torpedo is made of soft-touch plastic.

Instruments are bright and easy to read. The computer polls devices before starting. Very big luggage compartment. speaker speaker with sound good quality. Salon comfortable with soft seats. The interior upholstery is most often made of velor fabric. Rear passenger seats very comfortable, people with large "dimensions" will sit comfortably in the back. Heating for rear window equipped with a timer. Reflective film on glass. There are electrically adjustable headlights.
The fuel tank hatch opens from the passenger compartment. The trunk can be opened from the driver's seat.

We also have other informational materials on the car in various configurations. Our informational blog guarantees the quality of the posted material.

Summary:

The car is presented on the market in two versions - basic (GL) and luxury (GLE). The latest equipment option is distinguished by the best interior trim, the door upholstery is soft fabric. The car is equipped with a central lock, a tachometer, power windows, air conditioning and power steering.

The luxury version has been equipped since 2002 with the A15MF engine, which is a modification of the base G15MF model. In the process of upgrading the one and a half liter power unit, the rated power was increased from 75 to 85 hp. with.

The characteristics of the main systems have been changed for the better: ignition, cooling and gas distribution. Over the past eight years, since 2008, Daewoo Nexia GLE has been equipped with A15SMS and F16D3 engines, developing 86 and 109 hp. with. respectively. The second of the mentioned models of the power unit is borrowed from the Chevrolet Lanos and Lacetti.

In August 2008, UZ-Daewoo held an official presentation of a compact Daewoo sedan Nexia of the second incarnation, which, in fact, was only the result of the modernization of the original generation four-door.

The car, which received the internal factory index "N150", has changed in several ways compared to its predecessor - it has changed in appearance (although it has not become much more modern), received a completely redesigned interior and placed new engines under its hood.

Commodity production of the three-volume vehicle continued until August 2016, after which it was finally discontinued.

Outwardly, the "second" Daewoo Nexia is perceived archaic and unpretentious - the exterior design clearly refers to the 90s of the last century. The car looks most attractive from the front, and the credit for this belongs to the aggressive look of the head lighting and tightly knocked down bumper. From other angles, there is nothing special to praise the sedan for - a simple silhouette with a large glazing area and rounded-square rear arches wheels and an unremarkable stern with a bulky bumper and awkward lights.

In terms of external dimensions, the Nexia of the second incarnation fits into the concepts of the C-class: the length, height and width of the car are 4482 mm, 1393 mm and 1662 mm, respectively. A 2520 mm base extends between the wheelsets at the three-volume vehicle, and there is a 158 mm ground clearance between the bottom and the roadway.

Inside, the Daewoo Nexia continues the trend set by its appearance - the interior of the four-door looks outdated in all respects: a modest but well-read instrument cluster, a “flat” three-spoke steering wheel and an angular center console that houses an archaic monochrome watch, three “twists” of the climate system and a two-din radio (in the "base" is still easier). The current situation is aggravated by the low quality of finishing materials (“oak” plastics are widely used), and clumsy assembly.

The front seats of the "Nexia" of the second generation upset with an amorphous profile with a flat back and poorly developed lateral support, and they do not differ in an abundance of adjustments. The three-volume rear sofa is clearly molded for two people (although it does not shine with hospitality), and for them the supply of free space, especially in the leg area, is extremely limited.

The trunk of the "second" Daewoo Nexia is voluminous - 530 liters in the standard state. But the back of the rear sofa does not recline, and there is no hatch for transporting long items. In the underground niche near the car there is a set necessary tools and a full spare.

Specifications. For the compact sedan, there are two gasoline power units that work together exclusively with a 5-speed "manual" transmission and front-wheel drive:

  • The role of the base engine is performed by a 1.5-liter (1498 cubic centimeters) A15SMS in-line four with distributed injection, an 8-valve SOHC timing structure and an electronic control unit, producing 80 horsepower at 5600 rpm and 123 Nm of peak torque at 3200 rpm /minute. In this version, the car copes with the first “hundred” in 12.5 seconds, accelerating to 175 km / h as much as possible, and “drinks” no more than 8.1 liters of gasoline in a mixed driving mode.
  • More "capable" versions of the four-door rely on a four-cylinder 1.6-liter (1598 cubic centimeters) F16D3 engine with a multipoint "power" system and a 16-valve timing with a DOHC configuration, the potential of which has 109 "stallions" at 5800 rpm and 150 Nm of torque thrust at 4000 rpm. Thanks to such characteristics, the car accelerates from standstill to 100 km / h after 11 seconds, reaches a maximum of 185 km / h and “eats” about 8.9 liters of fuel in the combined cycle.

"Nexia" of the second incarnation stretches on the front-wheel drive platform "T-body" of the General Motors concern with a transverse installed engine, inherited from the Opel Kadett E. The front wheels of the sedan are suspended with independent suspension with shock-absorbing McPherson struts, and the rear ones - on a semi-independent architecture with an elastic cross member.
The car is equipped with a rack-and-pinion steering system (the hydraulic booster was installed only on expensive versions, but it was absent in the “base”). Ventilated disc brakes are used on the front of the three-volume vehicle, and drum mechanisms are used at the rear (ABS was not even offered as an option).

Options and prices. On the Russian market Daewoo Nexia II was in stable demand, and it was sold in three trim levels - "Classic", "Basic" and "Lux" (prices for a car at the time of its departure from our country ranged from 450,000 to 596,000 rubles).
In the “state”, the sedan is extremely poorly equipped: steel rims with 14-inch wheels, an interior heater, fabric seat upholstery, remote unlocking of the gas tank flap and luggage cover from the passenger compartment and rear window heating with a timer.
The “top-end” version has not gone far from the standard configuration - it is supplemented only with air conditioning, power steering, fog lights, four electric windows, a two-din radio with four speakers and a USB connector and athermal glasses.

Passing down the street, some motorists saw a car with the silhouette of the Opel Kadet E, but coming closer you can see the emblem brands Daewoo and the inscription on the stern of the trunk - Racer. A lot of people decided for themselves that this is a Kadet with fake nameplates, but in fact it is a licensed copy of a German car and it was from it that the history of Nexia began. Opel Kadet E was produced from 1984 to 1991, the model proved to be quite popular, as evidenced by the European Car of the Year title won by Opel. In those years, Daewoo was determined to produce high-quality passenger cars and in 1986 the production of Daewoo Racer began - a license was acquired - this cannot be compared with theft. In 1995, the passenger car underwent a major modernization. During restyling wheelbase was increased by 100mm. The model received a new name - Nexia. In their homeland, South Korea the car was called Cielo. In 1996, the production of Nexia was established in Uzbekistan at the UzDaewoo enterprise, as well as in Rostov. The production of Nexia in Russia lasted only two years, the enterprise was unable to compete with the more affordable Uzbek Koreans. Today, a Korean car can be considered an alternative not only to the VAZ 2110, but also to already old business sedans: and.

External review Daewoo Nexia

Absolute majority Daewoo Nexia found in the sedan, but occasionally you can find five and three-door hatchback. The production of hatchbacks was less massive and was discontinued in 2003. During all the years of production, two basic configurations were produced: GL and GLE. The first is budget, it is distinguished by unpainted bumpers and rear-view mirrors. The more expensive GLE stands out with painted bumpers with built-in foglights. We emphasize that foglight glasses crack quite often. The fact is that the headlights additionally heat up the light, and when water gets on them, the lens cracks. Less powerful modifications are shod with 175/70/R13 tires, and more powerful versions with a two-shaft engine and a sixteen-valve cylinder head are shod with 185/60/R14 tires. The extra inch and wider tires have a positive effect on handling. If you see a Nexia in front of you on the fourteenth disks with the inscription DONC, then in front of you is a car no older than 2002, it was in 2002 that another external restyling took place and appeared new motor. Since 2002, Daewoo began to be equipped with chrome-plated radiator grilles, of a more complex shape (previously, the grille was made in the form of a regular frame).

Salon and Equipment Nexia

Of course, in the Nexia salon you will not find a night vision system or massage chairs, but the salon can be safely considered the advantage of the model, because it was the most spacious among its competitors. There is enough space in the cabin for five adults. The landing is quite low - this distinguishes the Nexia from most budget cars, but in the GLE configuration, the driver's seat cushion is height adjustable. The basic version of the GL can be very different from one another in terms of equipment, they all do not have a tachometer, but you can find GL with air conditioning and power steering. The basic equipment included a radio with four speakers. Any of the GLE is equipped with four power windows, but air conditioning, as in the case of the GL, is an option, but a tachometer and a power antenna are installed in the GLE. Not spoiled drivers will like the fact that the gas tank flap and trunk lid can be opened from the passenger compartment. The volume of the luggage compartment of the Nexia is 530 liters, which even today is more than a worthy indicator. The disadvantage of the trunk is the inability to increase the volume. because the backs of the sofa do not fold.

Technical part and characteristics of Daewoo Nexia

Under the hood of Nexia you can see one of two power units. Both engines have the same volume - 1.5 liters, but the second is equipped with a sixteen-valve cylinder head and two camshafts, which allowed to increase power by 10l.s. The first engine develops 75 forces, and the second 85 horses. Only five-speed mechanics can dock with Daewoo Nexia power plants. mechanical box Nexia is also known for Opel Vectra and Astra of the first generations. The gears are quite long, in some situations this is an advantage, because it saves the driver from frequent switching in the city. In most cases, Daewoo Nexia engines up to overhaul live on 200 - 250 thousand. Motors are equipped with a belt, which is desirable to change at least once every 50,000 kilometers. Note that when the belt breaks, the valves do not always meet the pistons, but if in the case of 16v the break occurred on high revs, but such a meeting is very likely. The CV joints of the front wheels of a Korean are nursed for 100,000 km. The factory BOGE shock absorbers that were installed on UzDaewoo are quite soft and comfortable, but they are usually enough for no more than 30,000 km. The ball bearings on the Daewoo of the Uzbek assembly are screwed with three bolts and, as a result, they are removable. Ball valves run 100,000 km. The tie rod ends of a passenger car can withstand 30 - 40 thousand.
