Is it worth buying a used Nissan Juke? Used Nissan Juke - Definitely Not Dung

Nissan Juke relatively recently appeared on the Russian market, but it immediately fell in love with our motorists, especially the representatives of the beautiful half of humanity.

Nissan has a very good reputation for reliability, but the Juke is brand new with no history. Many girls dream of owning it so much that they were looking forward to the appearance on the market of two three-year-old cars in order to finally have the opportunity to have a dream.

The Juke is not a cheap car, and its maintenance is far from free. So is it worth buying this car used and won't owning a dream become a pretty penny?

Nissan Juke in Russia began to be sold in April 2011. The concept of the model was shown in 2009, and the world premiere of the serial version in 2010. In the same year, sales of the baby began in Japan-Europe and North America. The compact krasover turned out to be controversial not only externally, but also technically, which in turn raised many questions. Nissan owners Juke. Krasovers for Russia are assembled at Nissan enterprises in Great Britain and Japan.

After a long drive along the highway at high speed, and even in very coldy, many drivers have encountered the fact that they lose traction and at the same time the jkj light and the esp icon light up at the end. In this case, the engine does not respond to pressing the pedal and gas. So far, unfortunately, dealers have not established the exact cause of this phenomenon, but most likely the throttle freezes and most often this problem occurs on such machines with motors 1 and 6 117 Horse power.

Turbocharged engine 1 and 6 survived the revocable company to replace the gasket for the fuel sensor. Also, together with them, they changed the gasket of the intake manifold and throttle. Turbocharged engines also have one problem, which is associated with long-term movement on the highway in the cold season. They freeze the line and the removal of crankcase gases, as a result, it can almost squeeze out the chup. Fortunately, such stories are just one-time, it is not worth talking about them as statistics. However, the consequences here can be tragic. When oil gets on an exhaust manifold, ignition may occur in the engine compartment.

When choosing between a naturally aspirated and turbocharged engine, you just ask yourself the question: do you need this serious dynamics that such a car with a 190 horsepower engine can give? If you are a calm driver, it is better to prefer aspirated, since a car with a turbine and not only Juke is always an additional cost and more expensive service: the turbine will fail sometime, its replacement is quite expensive, during operation it is necessarily more expensive and high-quality fuels and lubricants, and of course higher fuel consumption.

Nissan Juke's five-speed manual is disappointingly mismatched gear ratios. When driving on the highway at a speed of 100 km / h in fifth gear, the tachometer needle is at around 3000 rpm, and engine noise penetrates into the cabin.

Once again, Juke doesn't like the cold. If you have a car with mechanical box, then in the cold season, until you warm up the car, you can hear the noise of the input shaft bearing. After depressing the clutch and warming up the box, the noise disappears. Perhaps the reason is that the oil used in the gearbox does not have sufficient lubricating properties - oil thickens in the cold.

Our car has a Jatco variator installed, the manufacturer is well-known and it completes many brands of models with its gearboxes various machines. As for this variator, there are some features: for example, at a low speed of 30-40 km / h there is a failure in speeding up, and also when you stop, you may feel some jerks or jolts. This is not a problem and is not a breakdown.

With the onset of cold weather, the suspension often begins to creak when overcoming obstacles like a speed bump. After parking in a heated parking lot and with the advent of spring, unpleasant sounds disappear. Rather, it can also occur due to the ingress of dirt between the spring and

The bottom of the support bearing. Owners tend to drive turbocharged cars a little more dynamically than those naturally aspirated cars. So the first problem with the suspension usually appears in these cars, and first of all you can hear knocks when driving through bumps or when the steering wheel is turned sharply and the thrust bearings will be the culprit.

The front pads run at 30k/km. run. From an authorized dealer it is 2500 rubles, if you want to save money, buy not the original - it's 1100.

Brake discs are, as usual, two sets of pads, otherwise, little can be said about the suspension of this car, it is only clear that somewhere up to 100 km / h you have no problems. And then we'll wait and see...

Front door locks can freeze in winter. Doors no longer open from the outside, and after opening from the inside they do not close. More often the problem occurs after visiting a car wash, but even without it, such an incident is not uncommon. The reason is that the lock cable freezes due to moisture getting into it. Moisture is also common in the Juke's door space: for example, if you stand with the window open for a while, you can lift it up and find that it is wet, which means that this fate has not passed you.

Another not pleasant winter surprise is the cracking of mirror elements. This can happen, for example, after opening and closing, that is, after folding the mirrors, or, for example, in severe frosts, this can happen after turning on the heating. Replacing the mirror element is a little less than 2000 rubles.

If you prefer to drive not with air conditioning, but with an open window, then be sure to install deflectors, since the aerodynamic feature of this car is such that liquid from the glass and from the doors falls directly on the driver.

With the onset of cold weather, the interior begins to creak. Unpleasant sounds are heard from under the front panel, from the area of the radio, as well as from under the driver's airbag. If the squeaks are heard from somewhere behind the car, then the rear seat back latch is most likely to blame. Sometimes just a lubricant helps.

In winter, it begins to creak and the outside plastic lining at the bottom windshield. The plastic glass of the speedometer and tachometer is easily scratched when trying to brush off the dust with a dry cloth. It is better to clean the glass with wet wipes.

The gear shift knob begins to peel off over time. Dealers do not recognize this as a defect and refuse to change the handle under warranty. Our car has cloth seats, but if they were leather, then there is a high chance that the leather would begin to stretch a little. At least the owners of Juke with mileage 20-30 thousand complain that the leather of the driver's seat is starting to stretch.

Another problem with leather upholstery is that the sides of the seats can crack over time. But this case is recognized as a warranty and under warranty the seats are changed to a new one. Moisture can accumulate between the roof and its upholstery and eventually it comes out somewhere in the area of the visors. If the climate control has stopped working correctly, then most likely the reason is not in itself, but in the outside temperature sensor. In winter, the electronic part of the climate system freezes and freezes, and warm air is no longer supplied to the cabin just when it is needed the most. But when the car is already warming up, the engine runs for a long time, then warm air begins to flow again.

For cars of the 12th year of production, the radio tape recorder may suddenly start rebooting itself when choosing radio stations, and after that the screen may go out. Just restarting the car will help.

Many owners have experienced that the Juke's battery lasts only a year, and after that it can let you down in the winter. Fortunately, this was not on every car, but if it is on yours, then put in a non-standard battery and the problem will end there.

The fuel consumption of the Nissan Juke is not very bad, especially for a Krasover, its path is very compact.

Juke with a naturally aspirated engine and mechanics consumes about 8-9 liters of fuel in the city and 6-7 liters on the highway. With a variator, consumption increases by 0.5-1 liter in the city. The turbocharged Juke is more voracious, he is content with 12-14 liters in the city and 8-10 on the highway.

After 5 months of launch Nissan sales The Juke in Europe was subjected to its Euroinsiepi theft test and the car scored a great 5 stars here. Juke scored 87 for adult protection, 81 for child protection, and scored the highest in the 3-year-old manikin test.

The high level of Juke rating was also ensured by the integrity of the cabin during a frontal impact and the protection of children's walkers.

Nissan Juke theft statistics are almost zero. The car is calm, family, mostly female. This contingent of motorists does not buy cars with broken numbers and is served mainly in the service by purchasing new spare parts.

Unlike a significant part of its relatives, assembled at Russian factories, the Juke intended for our market is produced in England. It is possible that the foreign pedigree and the decent age of the crossover will allow it to take a high place in our chart.

We evaluate the maintainability in points. They correspond to the total standard hours (according to the official grid) spent on certain operations.

Made in England

Previously, Juke could boast of a wide range of modifications available. Alas, today only the front-wheel drive version with atmospheric gasoline engine 1.6 paired with a CVT.

The 1.6 petrol engine of the HR16DE series has been known for a long time and has a good reputation. It is installed on many machines, including Note, Sentra, Fluence, Kaptur. Local production of this engine was set up in Tolyatti for delivery to factories that assemble cars for our market.

Under the hood of the English Juke lives a foreign-assembled motor, and it has some differences from the Russian one. In both cases, we have a maintenance-free timing chain designed for the entire life of the motor, and it keeps well throughout its entire length. But in the drive attachments the "Englishman" has a trump card, which the "Russian" does not have - the belt tensioner. It may not be automatic, but it's better than nothing. Replacing the hinged belt on "domestic" models (for example, such as Kaptur or XRAY) is much more difficult. Nissan does not set a mandatory belt change interval, while Renault has it at 90,000 km (or every four years).

Only the lazy did not scold the creators of the HR16DE motor for the tricky replacement of spark plugs, which involves removing the intake manifold. According to the regulations, this has to be done every 30,000 km. On the English engine, the environment of the intake manifold is not much different from the Russian one: the sensors were removed from it and the location of several ventilation lines was changed. The rest of the pipeline is dismantled in the same way. We start by disconnecting all hoses from it and two crankcase ventilation lines from the valve cover. Next, disconnect the pipe from the body air filter. We unscrew the case electronic damper from the pipeline and take it aside. The connector on the throttle does not interfere with further work, as well as its heating hoses. Then we remove the line going to the valve cover and the connector from the ventilation valve, not forgetting to disconnect its harness from the mounts to the pipeline.

The pipeline is bolted from below with five long “10” bolts to the head of the block, and from above - with two shorter bolts to the valve cover. For easy access to the lower bolts, we partially remove the wiring harnesses from the mounts and take them to the side, and also dismantle expansion tank engine cooling systems. It has a simple latch and is easy to pull up without having to disconnect the hoses. All gaskets on the pipeline are reusable.

Compared, for example, with the Capture, the Dzhuk has a different way to replace the engine air filter. And the process is labor intensive. First, we dismantle the pipe in front of the filter housing, then completely remove it top cover. According to the regulations, the filter is changed every 30,000 km.

Antifreeze replacement is done in the traditional French style. There are no drain plugs, so you have to remove the lower pipe from the radiator. The first fluid change is provided at a mileage of 90,000 km (or after five years), and then every 60,000 km (or every four years).

The fuel filter is built into the pump located in the tank and is not available as a separate spare part. At the same time, the manufacturer does not regulate the timing of its replacement. Access to the filter is through a technological hole in the body - under the pillow rear seat. In jerks, we tear off the pillow alternately from two fasteners-latches and take it out from under the back. The overlay of the technological hole is fixed with plastic twist locks. A special tool is required to unscrew the cover that secures the pump housing.

The Juke is equipped with a Jatco JF015E series variator. Formally, the oil in it is filled for the entire service life of the unit. However, Nissan still recommends changing the fluid every 90,000 km when operating the vehicle in severe conditions. At the same time, the manufacturer of the variator advises to reduce this interval to 30,000 km.

Periodic oil changes are guaranteed to prolong the life of the unit. The manufacturer took care of the convenience drain plug in the variator pan and even on the oil dipstick on top. A full oil change is carried out with the removal of the pan, along the way, the oil intake is washed and the fine filter is changed.

Another feature of the English assembly is the lack of crankcase protection. You have to set it yourself.

Lower Chamber

The battery has comfortable handles and is fixed with a metal plate on two studs with "10" nuts. Terminal fasteners are standard.

Power circuit protectors are located on the positive battery terminal harness. A small fuse box is in front of the "brains" of the engine. Its lid has simple latches, on reverse side there are designations of chains - in English. The main unit is installed to the left of the battery, under the pipe of the air filter housing, and is fixed in the casing with four latches. The distributor is devoid of a cover: all relays and fuses are on the bottom, from the wiring side. To see the location of the elements in it or try to replace one, you need to remove the battery and completely disconnect all wires from it. A very ill-conceived decision!

The cabin fuse box is located at the end of the front panel, on the left. Its cover has simple latches and is provided with chain designations.

The cabin filter is located at the passenger's feet, on the left side. It is replaced every 15,000 km. Access to the filter cover is free, it is fixed with latches at the top and bottom. But the distance under it is less than the height of the replaceable element, so it has to be deformed during installation. In addition, it is difficult to snap the top lid mount into place.

Front and rear brake mechanisms- disk. The calipers are fixed on guide bolts under the “14” head. Replacing pads and discs takes place according to the standard scheme and does not cause difficulties. Fittings for brake fluid located conveniently on all mechanisms, routine replacement - after 30,000 km (or two years).

The top headlights are equipped with turn signal lamps, as well as LEDs for position and running lights. If the LEDs burn out, you will have to change the optics assembly. Turn signal bulb holders are located in the outer corners of the headlights. Access to them is surprisingly good.

The dipped and main beam lamps are located in the headlights installed in the bumper. Access to them is acceptable from both sides. The HB3 high beam lamp is located in a separate well under a rubber cover. Please note: the lamp in the right headlight must be turned counterclockwise to remove it from the well, and in the left - vice versa. This decision is confusing at first. We turn the lamp together with the connector - this will require less effort. The length of the wiring allows you to then freely remove the block.

Depending on the configuration, the Juke is equipped with halogen or xenon dipped beam lamps. They stand in separate wells under a rubber cover. At the same time, the headlights for different light sources are arranged identically. And both types of lamps are replaced in the same way. Access to them is convenient, fixing connectors and lamps is intuitive.

When replacing the lamps in the front foglights, we partially dismantle the fender liner. We unscrew the two screws from the bottom and take out one piston. Next, we take the liner to the side. True, it is not easy to reach the connector with the lamp. Fortunately, the length of the wiring allows you to act freely. The lamp is fixed by turning, the connector is equipped with a simple lock.

Nissan Dzhuk, or Zhuk in the common people, began to be sold in Russia since April 2011. The concept model was shown in 2009, and the world premiere of the serial version in 2010. In the same year, sales of the "baby" began in Japan, Europe and North America. compact crossover turned out to be contradictory not only externally, but also technically. Which in turn caused a number of questions from the owners of the Nissan Zhuk. The crossover for Russia is assembled at Nissan enterprises in the UK and Japan.

Engines

The turbocharged 1.6 L (190 hp) MR16DDT survived a recall campaign to replace a fuel gauge gasket that could leak. In addition, the intake manifold and throttle gaskets were additionally changed.

In a severe frost on several cars with a supercharged engine, after a long drive along the highway at high speed, the crankcase exhaust line froze, which led to the extrusion of the oil dipstick and oil. One owner miraculously managed to save his car. Due to oil getting on the exhaust manifold, an ignition occurred in the engine compartment.

After driving for a long time on the highway in severe frosts at high speed, many are faced with a loss of traction, accompanied by the ignition of the "Check Engine" and "ESP". In this case, the engine does not respond to pressing the gas pedal. Dealers cannot yet find the exact cause of this phenomenon, but most likely the throttle freezes. More often this happens on atmospheric engines of 1.6 liters (117 hp) HR16DE.

Several owners got into an unpleasant situation due to a "glitch" of the gas pedal, which led to an increase in speed and, accordingly, speed. Drivers took measures to stop the car, miraculously avoiding an accident. After turning the ignition off and on again, the problem disappeared. The fault did not recur, and the dealer had nothing to show. The first thought was that the pedal caught on the mat, but according to the owners, this is not so. The pedal was in the normal position, and when pressed and released, there was no reaction from the engine.

Transmission

The five-speed “mechanics” of the Nissan Juke disappoints with an unsuccessful selection of gear ratios. When driving on the highway at a speed of 100 km / h in 5th gear, the tachometer needle is at around 3000 rpm, and the boring engine noise penetrates into the cabin. The only salvation in such a situation is to make the music louder.

Another drawback of the manual transmission is the noise of the input shaft bearing, distinguished as crackling or noise during the Nissan Beetle warming up in the cold season. After depressing the clutch pedal and after warming up the box, the noise subsides. Possible reason- insufficient lubricating properties of the oil thickening in the cold in the box.

The Jatco variator also has its own specific features. Among them are jerks or jerks after a stop, less often failures when accelerating in the range of 30-40 km / h.

Chassis

With the onset of cold weather, the suspension often begins to creak when overcoming obstacles like a speed bump. After parking in a heated parking lot and with the advent of spring, unpleasant sounds disappear. Grinding can also occur due to dirt getting between the spring and the bottom of the thrust bearing.

With a run of more than 10 - 15 thousand km, more often on a turbocharged Nissan Beetle, knocks appear when driving through bumps or turning the steering wheel. The culprits are thrust bearings.

front brake pads go more than 30 thousand km. Set of new official dealers will cost 2.5 thousand rubles, an analogue on the side will cost half as much - 1.1 thousand rubles.

Other problems and malfunctions

On the Nissan Juke of the first batches, paint peeling occurs at the junction of the front fender and bumper. Dealers recognize the case as a warranty case and perform a partial painting of the defective area, as well as additionally install a gasket between the problematic elements.

Greenhouse Nissan Juke delivers inconvenience in winter with freezing front door locks. Doors stop opening from the outside, and after opening from the inside they do not close. More often the problem occurs after visiting a car wash, but even without it, such an incident is not uncommon. The reason is the ingress of moisture into the sleeve of the cable and its freezing. The accumulation of a large amount of moisture in the door space is indicated by glasses that leave wet after lowering.

The next winter surprise is the cracking of the mirror element of the side mirrors. Trouble occurs more often on the left mirror after folding. In some cases, the crack appeared after turning on the electric heating of the mirrors. A new mirror element will cost 1800 - 1900 rubles.

Several owners are puzzled by the appearance of signs of metal corrosion on the weld rear pillars covered by the tailgate.

The peculiarity of aerodynamics and, accordingly, the distribution of air flows to those who like to drive with open windows leaves no other choice but to install windshields. Otherwise, when using a glass washer or in the rain, you can get wet, the liquid “blows” onto the windows of the front doors.

With the onset of cold weather in the cabin begins to creak plastic. Often rattling appears in the area dashboard, radio and front passenger airbags. The squeak, recognizable as right rear, is caused by the rear seat back latch. Lubricating the hinges will help get rid of the squeak. In winter, the outer plastic lining at the bottom of the windshield also begins to creak.

The plastic glass of the speed and speed indicators is easily scratched when trying to brush off the dust with a dry cloth. It is better to clean the glass with wet wipes.

The shift knob starts to peel off over time. Dealers do not recognize this as a defect and refuse to replace the handle under warranty.

Owners of Nissan Beetles with leather upholstery sometimes complain of pulling leather on the driver's seat cushion. On several Jukes with a run of more than 10 thousand km, with the advent of the first frosts, the upholstery on the sidewall of the driver's seat cushion cracked. Dealers recognize this case as a warranty case and replace the upholstery.

With temperature differences during the cold season, condensation may appear in the space between the roof and the upholstery of the ceiling. Moisture usually finds its way out through the front visors.

The outside air temperature sensor often starts to give incorrect readings, which in turn leads to incorrect operation of the climate control. In winter, due to a “glitch” in the electrical part of the climate, warm air may stop being supplied to the cabin. After warming up the machine, the heater will work again.

Often the head unit is also “buggy” - the screen goes blank, when scrolling through the radio stations it turns off and starts to reboot. Basically, this is a problem for the Nissan Zhuk, released during the winter-spring of 2012. The dealer, upon confirmation of the malfunction, replaces the radio.

Many owners are faced with a rapid discharge of native battery already after 10-11 months of operation of the car. "Original" layout electrical wires from the distribution block, flavored with a dense coil of electrical tape, does not stand up to criticism. Ideally, this "art" should be covered with a plastic cover.

What Nissan Juke is ready to please. So it is relatively low fuel consumption. Beetle with a naturally aspirated engine and manual transmission consumes about 8-9 liters of fuel in the city and 6-7 liters on the highway. With a variator, consumption increases by 0.5 - 1 liter in the city. The turbocharged Beetle is more voracious, he is content with 12-14 liters in the city and 8-10 liters on the highway.

Conclusion

One hundred troubles, one answer. Problems occur more often in winter with the advent of frost. The bug turned out to be thermophilic, he does not like the harsh Russian winters. It is better for the Bug to spend this time “in hibernation”.

The insectoid Nissan Juke, which appeared in 2010 with its eccentric appearance, leaves few people indifferent today. And is he able to amaze the imagination also with reliability?

IN At first glance, the chitin of the beetle shell would seem to be strong, but fragile. Here is the Nissan Juke, regardless of the place of birth (Japan or England), with paintwork not everything is smooth. Not every stone leaves a chip, but either the varnish will peel off, or the paint will peel off at the junction of the front fender and bumper. Molting is more prone to cars from the first batches, in which repainted parts are not necessarily a sign of accidents: many have visited the paint shops of dealers under warranty.

Sometimes the officials had to change along the way and a small number of chrome. But the body metal itself with double-sided galvanic galvanization, even completely bare, is in no hurry to give up corrosion. Of the unpleasant exceptions, perhaps rust breaking through the paint in rather weakly preserved welds on the sides of the trunk opening near the lights. Well, and radiators that quickly give up road chemistry: the first in five to seven years, an air conditioner condenser can whistle with a hole in the side ($250 at the rate of 60 rubles per dollar).

The paint scratches and chips off easily, but even on “bare” galvanized metal, corrosion does not start for months

The heat-loving Juke treats our frosts coolly, like a tropical species. So much so that he is able to barricade himself tightly on a winter morning! Or, conversely, do not wish to close the door. And all because the seals are glass-conditional - water flows into the braid of the lock drive cable and, freezing, turns it into real estate. The only relatively affordable way to deal with scourge is silicone grease treatment.

From the temperature difference when the heating is turned on, the mirror elements ($50 each) often crack, and the condensate that has accumulated on a poorly insulated roof can damage the upholstery and arrange drops through the sun visor mounts.

In a frozen car, do not rush to direct the maximum air flow onto the glass: hostile vortices will simply break the frozen plastic of the dampers! Sadness will be added by the fact that you can get new shutters only together with the whole air conditioner($800). But the noisy stove motor is not a big deal. It is sold separately ($ 150) and it breaks infrequently, and squealing is accepted, demanding cleanliness - do not be lazy at least once a year (preferably before winter) to clean the hospitable casing of the stove from leaves and other outboard debris.

The interior, which was ahead of its time, does not look outdated today. But it can creak from a young age: the mechanisms for attaching the back of the rear seat and the lining of the center console are the soloists

The steering shaft is also a fanatical advocate of hygiene - only cleaning the anther clogged with dirt and lubricating it with the same silicone saves. Moreover, the procedure will have to be repeated, and more than once.

With a poor electrician, there are no special problems. It happens that the train of movable steering column contacts is worn out: first, a chirp appears when the steering wheel is turned, and then its buttons go into failure. But if this happens, then with a significant mileage of 140-160 thousand kilometers.

The fabric on the armrests is easily greasy, and the painted plastic is easy to scratch. Seat upholstery on rollers begins to lose its marketable appearance after thousands of kilometers">

Noticeable abrasions on the steering wheel and the handle of the manual gearbox are a sign of a mileage of about 100 thousand kilometers
The fabric on the armrests is easily greasy, and the painted plastic is easy to scratch.

For instances older than 2012, do not forget to check the often junky “music” base unit ($ 220): it turns off the monochrome screen, then loses the radio wave settings, or stops producing sound altogether.

Seat upholstery on rollers after 60-80 thousand kilometers begins to lose its presentation

In 2013, Nissan experts suddenly discovered that if the driver's airbag deployed, the gas generator could burn material and add burns to a slap on the face. Of course, a recall campaign was immediately announced.

But in 2015, something else happened. The root of evil is the engine start button for expensive versions, which can jam in the pressed position. If the previous owner missed a free visit to the dealer and the button did not want to return to its original position at the end of the launch, it is better not to hesitate to steer to the nearest service. Otherwise, you risk experiencing a lot of thrills: the engine can stall at any moment!

The small Juke model of the Japanese brand Nissan is produced at two enterprises. But, if residents of North America and Asia have the opportunity to purchase a version assembled at one of the main factories of the company, it is delivered to Russia from England. Affordable price and the reliability of these cars led to the fact that from 2012 to 2016 their total number in the country exceeded 100 thousand copies. However, the depreciation of the ruble and the setting of quotas for the crossover reduced the level of sales - and now Russian roads you can find a lot of already used Beetles, the owners of which have already begun to have certain problems. Every potential buyer of this popular SUV should know about them.

Purchase Features

The first versions of Juke introduced general public in 2010. Therefore, even choosing a used car does not allow you to buy too old vehicle how it can turn out with more popular brands. And, given that the model appeared on the Russian market only in 2012, even in the most extreme case, the buyer will have at his disposal a car no more than 5 years old.

On the other hand, all versions of the Beetle intended for the Russian Federation are assembled in the English city of Sunderland. Namely, this assembly is not so high quality compared to the original Japanese crossovers. It cannot be said that the variants released in England are much worse (at least they even surpass the Asian configurations in design), but car owners eventually begin to notice small problems with the crossover. Although new cars have almost none.

Motor problems

Weaknesses that its owner has to deal with first of all include small problems with power unit. However, there are no complaints about the new motor - it works reliably and will last a long time. Especially if you carry out maintenance on time (it is recommended to do this at least every 5000 km) and refuel quality gasoline or diesel fuel. Although diesel options on Russian market and were not supplied - you can only buy them abroad, so domestic users rarely encounter problems with the 1.5-liter Nissan Zhuk turbodiesel.

Troubles with the 117-horsepower HR16DE engine, standard for Russian modifications, appear at the onset of the first frosts. Sometimes this consists in reducing traction when driving at high speed - the cause of the problem should be looked for in the throttle, be sure to take this nuance into account when operating the car in winter and in cold regions of the country. In the turbocharged MR16DDT engine, problems are associated with freezing of the channel for venting gases from the crankcase.

Transmission and suspension

Problems with the manual transmission of the crossover arise already at idle - especially in cold weather, when the oil in the manual transmission thickens. Although the rest of the "mechanics" Nissan Juke works quite reliably. While configurations with a variator sometimes lose their smoothness, in order for a car with CVT not to move jerkily, it is recommended to change the oil in this box at least once every 60 thousand km.

However, the variators of this particular model give the owners of the crossover a lot of other problems - from the appearance of cracks around the gear hub to "failures" during acceleration. These shortcomings often lead experienced car enthusiasts to prefer the Juke with a manual transmission. Moreover, a car with “mechanics” is also a little more economical - it consumes 0.5 liters of gasoline less per 100 km compared to versions with CVT.

Considering the suspension of the model, it is worth noting its reliability - however, over time, after about 15 thousand kilometers, it begins to creak. The problem is solved by replacing the bearings. To avoid other problems with undercarriage, the front pads are changed every 30 thousand km, other elements (bushings, oil seals and racks) - after about 100 thousand km.

Disadvantages at low temperatures

Given the cold winters in most Russian regions, it is worth noting such a "sore" Juke as freezing locks on the front doors. However, these elements do not fail completely - after thawing, they continue to work normally. However, in frost below 25-30 degrees, the doors are difficult to close and open.

The Nissan Juke's heating system is by no means inefficient. However, in the northern regions of the Russian Federation, it will not be hot inside the car in winter. At the same time, the buttons for turning on the seat heating are not very conveniently located - to press them, you have to raise the armrest. This feature cannot be called a serious drawback, however, with constant and not too long trips in the winter, it can cause some inconvenience.

With strong temperature differences inside the space located between the upholstery of the ceiling and the metal of the roof, condensate appears, flowing into the cabin through the visors above the front seats. Although this usually happens only in severe frosts. In summer, spring and autumn, the car owner does not have to face such troubles.

Other cons

The disadvantages that the owner of the Juke model may encounter - moreover, both the new and the version already in operation - include:

 • squeaks in the cabin, making the trip not so comfortable;
 • absent deflectors on the front side windows that could protect the windows from dirt;
 • poor interior lighting;
 • lack of illumination in the area of the ignition switch.

Additional problems include a quickly erasable finish of the gearshift lever. In addition, users note that the battery life is not too long. And for a configuration rarely found in Russia with a leather interior, it is typical low quality skin.

conclusions
