Of course, due to the economic situation in our country, the prices for new cars, regardless of class and brand, have not become affordable for everyone, and it has become more difficult to get approval for a loan, all because of the same economic situation. But let's not be so pessimistic, perhaps the government will be able to somehow improve the situation in the country.

Korean crossovers and SUVs

At the moment, three brands of Korean manufacturers are represented in Russia: KIA, Hyundai and SsangYong. The first two belong to the same large concern and in fact have similar equipment and components and differ only in design. Moreover, in Russia over the past few years, KIA and Hyundai have become the best-selling brands among new cars. The third brand on the list, although not in such great demand among our motorists, but in spite of this, it should be given its due. ssangyong cars very good in quality and have enough affordable prices, at least it was before the collapse of the ruble. Hyundai Creta

It is worth noting that despite the fact that Creta has been on sale in Europe for quite a long time, in Russia it was decided to first start selling Tucson, which is essentially a well-upgraded version of the ix35. As for the “baby”, it is known that it will be assembled at a plant in St. Petersburg. Equipped with a compact korean crossover will be 1.6 (123 hp) and 2.0 liter (150 hp) engines. Mazda CX-3

In addition to stylistic innovations, the company also worked on the technical component, as a result of which a new 2.5-liter turbocharged engine appeared under the hood of the CX-9, demonstrating lower fuel consumption and better dynamics.

Another representative of the compact crossover segment, which over the past few years has managed to become one of the most popular in Russia. So Honda decided, although one of the last, to fill this niche, thereby expanding its the lineup. Honda decided to bring the appearance of their all-wheel drive models to the same denominator, as a result of which in 2016 we can observe a new generation of the Pilot SUV, which, in our opinion, has turned from a brutal square into a family minivan. Exactly the same work we could observe with Nissan Pathfinder, the new generation of which has lost the square shape of the body giving way to smooth lines. From ourselves we can add that the previous generation had good dynamic characteristics and excellent behavior on the road, although our compatriots did not use the car in due demand, the reason for this could be an outdated design and high tax. In the new generation, these annoying shortcomings are completely eliminated; spacious salon, large screen, comfortable seats and the quality of the materials used. As for the technical characteristics, under the hood of the Japanese there is a 3.5 liter gasoline engine with a capacity of 290 hp (most likely for Russian market this motor is derated to 249 hp. so that owners have the opportunity to pay less tax). The power unit will be aggregated with two transmissions to choose from, the first is a 6-speed, the second is a new 9-speed automatic box. Like most of its competitors, the Pilot is available with front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.

They are made in Europe, Asia, USA. Of course, Russian buyers are also waiting for new products. Moreover, both from foreign and from the domestic auto industry.

East is a delicate matter

Crossovers and SUVs in 2016 are being prepared in Japan, China, and South Korea. You can also recall the Taiwanese development - Luxgen. But so far, little has been heard about the latter. Developers are refining what was clearly and obviously lacking in previous versions.

Let's start with the Japanese. For example, many people were waiting for a stylish luxury SUV Nissan Murano 2015-2016. The novelty will delight not only with beautiful headlights, but also with a more comfortable and spacious interior. The ergonomics of the cabin were noticeably altered, and this benefited the car.

New Chinese crossovers and SUVs are increasingly attracting domestic motorist. The quality of assembly and parts of this technique is growing, the price is adequate, the appearance and filling are also quite competitive. So it turns out that more expensive cars from Japan and South Korea In some price categories turn out to be less interesting and more and more criticized.

Speaking of Korean technology. Among the expected new products - Hyundai Santa Fe. He might not have won the competition for the title of the best crossover of 2016, but he certainly deserves attention.

And what about in Europe?

Audi, BMW, Volvo, Mercedes, Volkswagen. There are plenty of stamps on the continent. Each has enough different kinds of cars that can be attributed to urban crossovers, for example, it fits perfectly into this category, it has low fuel consumption, compact body dimensions, in general, great option urban crossover.

Let's start our story with. The Swedes have never been in a hurry to release, until there is 100% confidence that the car is safe and reliable enough to “not disgrace the good name” of the company, which is famous for this all over the world.

In 2016, the XC90 will change dramatically. Starting with the dimensions, and ending with the fact that it will be equipped with a new hybrid unit. The installation will include 87 hp. - an electric motor and a gasoline monster with a capacity of 320 "horses".

The main competitors will be two Korean cars - Hyundai Santa Fe and Kia Sorento.

In the coming year, Ford alone is preparing two new items for us. Firstly, this is Kuga, and secondly, the Explorer SUV. The machines are fundamentally different, created for different conditions and categories of customers.
