The interior of the Kia Cerato is made of inexpensive plastic, and the version chosen for the test has a uniform gray color, without aluminum inserts. Even powerful cars with turbocharged engines do not feel like this (you still feel that you are driving a fast, but heavy, inert car) - so it's not about the power of the engine. Lighter cars also behave differently - which means it's not about weight. In settings? Maybe.

I took what was suitable for the budget and what I liked. You could, of course, strain yourself, get into debt and take Skoda Octavia but the meaning? Of course, the Korean auto industry was a little embarrassing, but on the other hand, these are not the Chinese after all.

I really like the look of the car. The lines are smooth, the muzzle is moderately aggressive. Reminds me a little of the Honda Civic, but not much. Got it in standard white. I think it suits the car the best.

After a slight operation, the wipers began to smear, especially the one on the passenger side. A little annoying, to be honest. It is clear that now every automaker is trying to save as much as possible, but to encroach on the wipers is already too much. So in the near future they will be replaced with something better and more durable. Since I took the car in February, I managed to check the operation of the stove with a “hair dryer”. Her work is beyond praise. At temperatures below minus thirty, the interior warms up in just a few minutes (5-6). Sweat constantly during rainy days windshield. So far I can't figure out why.

The quality of interior trim materials is very average. The steering wheel is covered with frank leatherette of low quality, on the ceiling there is incomprehensible paper. But the gaps are the same everywhere, and the plastic, although hard, is not creaky.

The material with which the chairs are upholstered also does not make you have false illusions. It gets dirty pretty quickly, while I try to keep the car clean. So I’m thinking, splurge on covers or drive the “steel horse” to dry cleaning? Haven't decided yet.

The motor itself and its power suits me quite well. The dynamics are excellent (I think due to the fact that I took it on the “handle”). Acceleration is not a problem. I also liked the box. The gears are short, so “clicking” is one contentment. But the clutch pedal, in my opinion, could be made a little shorter. It would be more convenient.

By fuel consumption. On-board computer it underestimates by about 0.5 liters. It shows 8.5, and on checks I get 9. Such a cunning “Korean”, or they don’t top up at gas stations.

Noise isolation, of course, is very weak. Somewhere on 3+. Most weakness are the wheel arches. You can hear absolutely everything that happens there. Especially annoying sand and small pebbles. Therefore, I plan to improve this side of the car in the near future.

I really liked the work of the suspension in urban conditions. Honestly, I didn't expect this from a car. I did not hear any extra sounds, squeaks or something else even in the cold. On the track, the suspension already behaves a little worse and allows buildup. Not strong, but you have to get used to it.

And of course, it’s better not to leave the asphalt on the Cerato. The car is imprisoned only for the city, it is “offended” by the village “rides” and in every possible way prevents them.

And, here's another thing, the windshield is very delicate and weakly resists external factors (sand, stones, etc.). Just a few weeks later, the first traces appeared on it. By the way, the paintwork is also "dead". Catching a chip is easy. But this, as I understand it, all Korean cars sin.

The second generation Kia Cerato is one of the creations of the world famous German designer Peter Schreyer. Quality and maintainability is another criterion that was achieved when buying. I read and studied a lot about cars and the reviews seemed more convincing. Fuel system Bosch, nothing twisted, than a 2-liter Korean will no longer indulge. Therefore, I chose Cerato1.6 diesel, because. did not want to deal with gas. As a result, I was convinced that the Koreans make fairly high-quality cars, and if you prevent rather than treat diseases, the cars, however, like everyone else, will repay good for good. All the same to ride without a nail and without a rod.
