Modernization of the torpedo

The front panel is sheathed with leather, plastic or thin sheets of metal. This makes it possible to produce a unique product. Corrugated aluminum sheets are suitable. They withstand mechanical damage and are easily cleaned of dirt with a soapy solution.

Engine compartment

To reduce the noise level from power unit the engine compartment cover is equipped with sound insulation. Shelves for storing small items are installed on the outside of the lid. Some car owners equip the engine compartment cover with cup holders.

Steering column

The steering column is covered with a plastic case from cars of other brands. Combined switches are installed on the steering column. The ignition lock with a torpedo is transferred to the steering column.

Standard seats have a low level of comfort. Motorists are replacing the driver's and passenger seats. Seats with different sizes are suitable for installation in the rear. For relaxation, chairs are installed that fold out into a full bed.

There is limited seating space at the front of the vehicle. Therefore, it is necessary to choose narrow seats. The front seats are located above the wheel arch. Therefore, for installation, it is necessary to choose products with a low back.

Body tuning UAZ loaf

Motorists perform tuning the body of the UAZ loaf with their own hands. Depending on the task performed by the car, the following is installed on the body:

Body kits and kengurin

When using a car in difficult conditions, UAZ is equipped with a kengurin and reinforced bumpers. They protect the body from damage from branches and stones.

Unique reinforced body kits and kengurin can be obtained in two ways:

Order the manufacture of products from professional welders. Workers will make bumpers and kengurin strictly according to the drawings;
Make your own parts. This will require certain skills.

branch protection

When using the machine to drive through forested areas, the windshield is susceptible to damage from impacts from branches. A special device is used to protect the windshield from branches.

The device is made in the form of two cables. The lower edge of the cables is attached to the kengurin. The top edge of the product is attached to the roof in the area of the windshield pillar. The cables are equipped with a tension device. When the car is moving, the branches hit the cables without touching the windshield.

Reinforced trunk

Installed on the roof reinforced trunk. It is made of metal pipes or profiles. The roof rack protects the paintwork from being hit by branches, and allows you to carry cargo weighing up to 300 kilograms on the roof.

In the manufacture of the trunk, it is possible to equip mounts for installing outdoor headlights. To avoid damage to the headlight glasses, they are placed on the inside of the frame. When using UAZ for hunting, side and rear lighting headlights are installed on the trunk. They allow you to illuminate the area around the car.

Off-road tuning UAZ loaf

In order to move off-road, they independently modernize the chassis of the car. For this, wheels with off-road tires are installed. Some owners install bridges from military UAZs. They have a lower gear ratio and increase ground clearance.

Spare wheel bracket

Off-road UAZ is equipped with a bracket for attaching a spare wheel. The enlarged spare wheel does not fit in the place provided by the factory. The bracket is made of pipes or profiles.

The upper part of the bracket is attached to the trunk mounted on the roof of the car. The lower part of the bracket is mounted on the rear bumper.

Bridge breathers

When driving a UAZ 452 car through water, water can get into the bridges through the breathers. The ingress of water into the crankcase of the gearbox leads to an increase in friction between the parts of the mechanism. Due to increased friction, the assembly may fail.

When driving off-road, car owners upgrade bridge breathers. For this:

Unscrew the breathing valve;
A hose is installed in the place where the breathing valve is attached. brake system car Gazelle;
The second hose fitting is connected to a flexible rubber hose using an adapter;
The adapter in the hose is clamped with a clamp;
The second edge of the flexible hose is fixed in a place inaccessible to water (in the engine compartment);

When driving off-road, water does not enter the bridge through the breather valve. The crankcase is connected to the atmosphere through a hose.

From the above, it follows that the modernization of the UAZ 452 car allows you to increase the technical performance of the car. Modernization can be done by hand. This allows you to get a unique machine designed for specific purposes.
