Engine oil for cue jd. What kind of oil to pour into the Kia Sid engine

Production model range Kia Seed started in 2006. In the fall of 2006, a middle-class car was first shown at an exhibition in Paris, after which its mass production began. For 11 years, the model has undergone several updates and is now being produced in the second generation. Ceed replaced the outdated Cerato and was originally developed to conquer the European market in the golf segment. The novelty quickly became on a par with competitors - Volkswagen Golf, Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla.

In the first generation, the model was equipped with gasoline and diesel engines of different capacities. The first consisted of units with a working volume of 1.4, 1.6 and 2.0 liters (90/110, 122/126 and 143 hp). Diesel modifications included turbodiesel units for 1.6 and 2.0 liters (90-140 hp). The listed engines worked either with manual transmission or 4-speed automatic. Information on oil consumption and which one to pour is indicated below. As for the consumption of gasoline, about 6 liters of fuel are required per 100 kilometers in the combined Kia Ceed cycle. In 2009, the model underwent a cosmetic restyling, during which the car received a new look, emphasizing the corporate style, and a redesigned interior.

The second generation debuted in 2012 and Kia Seed was again subjected to external changes. Now the car has a pronounced sporty style. The engines have become a little more economical, and the car itself is more stable on the road. Russian deliveries included a 1.6-liter modification with a 129 hp engine. The atmospheric installation was paired with a 6-speed MT or AT. In terms of dynamics: the first 100 km / h was achieved in 10.5 seconds on the mechanics and 11.5 - on the machine. In 2013, a more charged version with 204 hp became available, delivering the first hundred in just 7.6 seconds. Fuel consumption for such a LED is up to 7.8 liters in the combined cycle.

The selection of lubricant must begin with the instruction manual for a particular car model. The specified documentation describes the viscosity, type, class required oil. The purchase of the recommended engine oil for Kia cee'd will reduce fuel consumption, improve performance power unit, as well as increase the operating period of the motor and lubrication system.

The recommended engine oil for Kia cee'd is described in the car manual. In this documentation, the manufacturer not only indicates the parameters of the engine oil suitable for a particular car engine, but also focuses on the need to take into account the seasonality of fluids. Depending on the season, lubricants designed for summer, winter or all-weather are distinguished. Each type of lubricant has specific characteristics and a unique chemical base that allows you to ensure the normal operation of the Kia seed motor, depending on the operating conditions of the machine.

The selection of lubricant is made taking into account the basic basis of the fluid and the temperature range in which the vehicle will be operated. For stressed working conditions and too hot climates, synthetics or semi-synthetics are better suited. In worn engines with high mileage, it is preferable to use mineral oil.

When buying engine fluid for Kia seed, pay attention to whether there are tolerances on the fluid canister. The presence of tolerances indicates the compliance of engine oil with a specific brand of car.

Conclusion

Engine oil parameters affect vehicle fuel consumption and operation vehicle in cold weather (starting the engine, pumping lubricant). Using the recommended engine oil for Kia cee'd improves engine performance and increases the ego of the operating period. The use of even the original car oil that does not meet the manufacturer's recommendations Kia seed will lead to deterioration of the lubrication of the motor and its premature failure.

Kia Ceed is one of the most popular hatchbacks in Russia. The machine is in high demand due to its quality and reliability. The machine is undemanding to maintain, but only if you follow the manufacturer's recommendations - for example, fill in only the recommended engine oil. In this article, we will consider the types and classes of motor oils for Kia Rio, and also call the best manufacturers lubricants.

Nuances of choice

Recommended engine oil parameters are usually listed in the Kia Ceed user manual. In this case, in addition to the parameters, the manufacturer also indicates the seasonality of the liquids - for example, some oils are suitable for the summer season, while others can be used regardless of the season and climate. Each type of lubricant has its own characteristics and a certain chemical base.

When choosing one or another oil, first of all, one should pay attention not to the brand, but to the basic basis and support for ambient temperatures in which Kia Ceed will be operated. So, for too hot regions, excessive loads and an active driving style, synthetic or semi synthetic oil. As for old worn out engines with high mileage, it would be preferable for them mineral oil.
You should also take into account the availability of permission. The tolerance allows you to determine how high-quality and useful the oil will be for a particular brand of car.

Many owners are interested in the answer to the question what kind of oil to fill in the Kia Sid engine? This car has long been in great demand among Russian motorists. The simplicity of its design, reliability, and most importantly, the low price make it an attractive purchase. This four-cylinder engine has 4 valves for each cylinder and injector injection fuel.

Generally, power plants of this design and the Kia Sid engine in particular, are considered quite reliable. There are practically no problems with them up to 200-300 thousand kilometers. However, this is subject to proper and timely maintenance. One of the key points on which the Spectra motor resource directly depends is the timely oil change. This procedure can extend the life of your vehicle by many thousands of miles.

In addition to the correct interval for changing the oil, the quality of the engine affects the life of engine parts.

The working fluid, which will protect parts from premature wear, must have certain qualities and meet the standards set for it by the car manufacturer.

So how often do you change your engine oil?

There are many expert answers to this question, but it is best to be guided by the recommendations given by the vehicle manufacturer. He recommends changing Sid's engine oil at least every 15 thousand kilometers or, if the annual mileage is less, every year. It is at this frequency of replacement Kia motor will be the least affected internal wear. It should be noted that sometimes this procedure is required more often. In some cases, the interval between replacements should be reduced to 10 thousand kilometers. This is always associated with difficult vehicle operating conditions, for example, in urban areas or dusty areas.

If you buy a car from your hands, then you need to change the oil in the Sid engine immediately after purchase in order to protect yourself from problems if the previous owner did it for a long time or filled in low-quality liquid.

Along with the oil, it is necessary to change and oil filter Kia Sid. Therefore, you need to immediately purchase this part. The advantage is that the prices for consumables for this car are low, as it should be in the budget class.

The best semi-synthetic oil for KIA CEED

This category of oils is a reliable lubricant for both new engines and engines with high mileage. Modern additive complexes allow semi-synthetic lubricants have characteristics that are not inferior to synthetics.

HI-GEAR 5W-40 SL/CF

One of the advantages of this oil is the absence of fakes on the market (this is not the most popular brand for motor lubricants). A high-quality base base and a set of modern additive complexes make it possible to confidently use Hi-gear in Kia Seed engines, which are operated under difficult conditions of intensive city driving.

The owners in their reviews confidently declare the good properties of the oil, a decrease in its consumption (this is very important for engines with high mileage), fuel savings are observed when running long distances, and the level of noise and vibration during the operation of the internal combustion engine has decreased.

MOBIS SUPER EXTRA GASOLINE 5W-30

Having started pouring oil into the Kia Sid engine, the owner will notice positive changes in the operation of the engine after the first operating cycle, especially if its mileage has long exceeded 100 thousand km. For the most part, feedback on the use of Mobis super extra is positive. There is a noticeable fuel economy, the engine gets rid of accumulated deposits, its operation becomes more stable on idling. At negative temperatures, starting the motor is not difficult even at -30⁰С.

All this became possible due to the high quality of the base oil and a modern additive package. They provide a low level of oxidative processes, protect against corrosion and ensure the stability of the lubricant in a wide range of operating temperatures.

COMMA X-FLOW TYPE F 5W-30

The oil is suitable for use in a Kia Sid car, fully complying with the requirements of the factory. The liquid remains stable both at high engine operating temperatures and in cold weather, providing engine start at -35⁰С. The low sulfur content not only makes the product more environmentally friendly, but also allows the oil to take care of the engine more gently.

Infineum's additive package provides corrosion protection and excellent detergency by completely dissolving deposits due to its high alkalinity (9.94). A high degree of wear protection has been achieved thanks to additives based on Zn and Ph atoms. This allows not only to ensure high-quality operation of the engine with high mileage, but also to increase its service life.

LIQUI MOLY SPECIAL TEC LL 5W-30

The base oil obtained by hydrocracking technology from heavy petroleum products is not inferior to pure synthetics in its characteristics, which guarantees excellent fluidity and allows high-quality lubrication of all rubbing surfaces in the engine. An advanced set of modern additives adds properties to the lubricant that provide:

  • Better oil circulation through the system at low temperatures;
  • Economy of gasoline, low level of harmful emissions;
  • Cleanliness of parts and oil supply channels, washing out and dissolution of deposits in the lubrication system;
  • High wear protection.

To fill Special TEC LL into the Kia Sid engine, when replacing, you should thoroughly flush the engine - the manufacturer does not recommend mixing this lubricant with other oils. In the reviews of drivers using this oil in the engines of their cars, there is a positive assessment of the characteristics listed above.

The best synthetic oil KIA CEED

Synthetics are best adapted for lubrication modern engines car KIA Ceed, is able to reliably protect the mechanism from corrosion phenomena, prevent precipitation and the formation of deposits in the oil channels of the motor. In addition, modern high-tech additives, including ester compounds, provide maximum protection against friction, reduce wear of parts, and, accordingly, increase engine life.

ENI/AGIP I-SINT MS 5W-40

The exceptional quality of this synthetic meets all the requirements of high-energy modern engines, which include the Kia Seed. Modern additive package contains a minimum of metals, which makes emissions more environmentally friendly, extends the life of diesel particulate filters (if any) and exhaust system. An in-house research center located in Milan provides the products with state-of-the-art, exclusive additive components, which are first tested by the top Formula 1 championship teams.

In their reviews, drivers characterize this oil as economical, having a constant viscosity during operation, including at low temperatures. The oil retains the stability of its properties throughout the entire life cycle, which is limited by the recommendations of the automotive manufacturer.

CASTROL MAGNATEC 5W-30 A3/B4

The oil is a mixture of the purest synthetic base and a set of additives created according to modern and unique technologies. Regardless of the period of operation, its nature and intensity, ambient temperature, Motul x-clean does not change its characteristics (including viscosity), remaining stable for a long time, significantly exceeding the traditional replacement period. It has an excellent washing effect, dissolves accumulated deposits, which, when replaced, will be removed from the engine along with used oil.

Some reviews describe the excess of the permissible service life of the lubricant, which did not cause even the slightest harm to the motor. In addition, the oil does an excellent job at severe frosts effectively reduces friction and prolongs engine life.

SHELL HELIX ULTRA ECT 5W-30

This oil has direct factory recommendations for filling in Kia Sid. Possesses good oxidizing properties, interferes with corrosion and formation of deposits. This is facilitated by a group of additives Active Cleansing and the purest synthetic base obtained from natural gas using PurePlus technology. The absence of waste consumption and noticeable fuel savings (up to 1.7%) are also the advantages of this popular oil.

Once using this oil, the owners, as a rule, continue to fill it further into the engines of their cars. The few that leave bad reviews(telling how they almost “killed” their pet’s motor with this lubricant), they most likely became victims of fraudulent sellers who, under the guise of a popular brand, slipped it a cheap imitation. This main drawback can be easily eliminated by being more attentive to the seller - a decent businessman will never exchange for momentary benefits.

MOBIL 1 FUEL ECONOMY 0W-30

Ideal for operation in the northern regions of the country, providing a stable engine start in severe frosts. A carefully selected additive package does not contain heavy metals, so that exhaust gases cause significantly less damage to the environment.

In order to choose which oil to pour into the Kia Sid engine, you need to understand its main characteristics, markings, trademarks, type, and some more points. If you take into account the most important of them and do not make a mistake with the choice of the manufacturer, you can choose the ideal fluid that will effectively protect engine parts from wear for a long time, under different conditions of use with minimal consumption. To find out the main characteristics of LED oil, you can refer to the instruction manual, however, there is little information about the types of liquid and its manufacturers, so the choice is limited to one or two brands. To choose from a wide range of car dealerships, you should know a little more.

Kia Pro'Ceed 1.6 GDI

Viscosity class and volume

The viscosity class determines the ability of an engine oil to maintain the necessary lubricating properties under different temperature conditions. Fuel consumption and its operation in the cold season depend on the viscosity of the oil, which especially affects the engine start and warm-up. At low temperatures, it is better to use a fluid with a low viscosity coefficient, this has a positive effect on the economy of the car and the protection of engine working surfaces from wear. At high temperatures environment in the heat, it is better to choose an oil with a high viscosity.

Modern automotive engine oils use the SAE coefficient to indicate viscosity. It is usually indicated on canisters as one of the main markings. It consists of two numbers separated by the letter W and the sign "-". Both of these are viscosity coefficients under different conditions. The first indicates the temperature at which oil can be pumped through the system and ensure that the engine cranks at start-up. The second shows the viscosity when the motor is heated to operating temperature.

Table of temperature ranges for engine oils according to SAE

AT Kia cars It is recommended to use engine oil with a viscosity of SAE 5W-30 or 5W-40. This coefficient ensures optimal engine operation in a wide temperature range from -30 to 50 degrees. It is this marking that Kia recommends for its cars in European countries, regardless of the type of engine, its volume and the presence of a turbocharger.

Volume motor Kia The LED depends on the modification of the power unit and is:

  • 3.6 liters for gasoline engines 1.4 MPI, 1.6 MPI, 1.6 GDI;
  • 4.5 liters for 1.6 petrol engines with a T-GDI turbine;
  • 5.3 l. for diesel engines.

Resource

One of the important indicators of the quality of engine oil is its resource, that is, how long it can work without losing its characteristics. Most auto manufacturers recommend changing this fluid about every 15-20 thousand kilometers. However, oil manufacturers often claim that their products can run several tens of thousands of kilometers without replacement and, at the same time, normally protect the engine from wear. Who is exaggerating and who is being reinsured? The fact is that none of them can know exactly how much oil is able to drain in your car due to the fact that its resource is highly dependent on the conditions in which the car is used. The car owner himself must monitor the condition of the engine oil and determine the need for its replacement. If this is problematic, it is best to follow the change intervals recommended by the machine manufacturer.

The following factors affect the condition and life of engine oil:

  • Operating conditions of the car, the presence of so-called difficult conditions (traffic jams, dust, cold season, transportation of goods, and so on);
  • The age of the car and its engine;
  • fuel quality;
  • The quality and technology of the oil change procedure.

For MPI LED engines, when using 5W-20, 5W-30 oil normal conditions, Kia recommends a replacement interval of 15,000 km or 12 months. For GDI - 10,000 km or 6 months. In severe operating conditions, and these include most conditions in big cities and other areas of Russia, the interval is recommended to be reduced to 7,500 km and 6 months for MPI and 5,000 km or 6 months for GDI.

Type of working fluid

At the moment in automotive engines several types of engine oil can be used, differing in the type of production:

  1. Mineral;
  2. Semi-synthetic;
  3. Synthetic.

Mineral oil is obtained by distilling crude oil, after which it is enriched with special additives to improve performance. This type of oil has been used for a long time and has a number of advantages, despite the fact that other types, mainly synthetics, are now replacing it.

Often, manufacturers pour mineral oil into new cars, on which the car can run the entire break-in process. Some Kia models can be sold in showrooms with mineral water in the engine. This is due to its low price and the absence of the need for long-term use (the first MOT with a replacement of about 5,000 km). In some countries, car manufacturers recommend mineral motor oil for use as original oil. This is also due to the fact that it is considered more environmentally friendly than synthetics.

Semi-synthetic motor oils are obtained by adding synthetic additives to mineral oils or by mixing them with synthetics. These types of liquids are not very common, there are also few of them on sale due to displacement by the synthetic type.

Now in Russia, mainly synthetic motor oils are sold, they are also used for replacement. These fluids are obtained by chemical means, in which it is possible to obtain a composition that meets modern specifications and has better characteristics.

Compared to other types of oils, synthetic oils have a number of advantages:

  • Compliance with higher requirements and complex specifications, which makes it possible to develop lubricating fluid for a certain modification of the engine, taking into account its features;
  • Better resistance to wear of working surfaces;
