The volume of oil in the variator nissan juke. Variators (CVT) Nissan Juke F15

Main Feature The Nissan Beetle is that almost all of its models have a CVT - a new gearbox, an improved version of the machine. Changing the fluid in the variator is necessary in the same way as any filling fluid in a car.

Oil change dates in automatic transmission Nissan

Changing the oil in an automatic transmission on a Nissan Beetle, according to the manufacturer's manual, is not required. The original grease, filled in at the factory, is enough for the entire operational life of the machine. However, given the peculiarities of our roads and climate, a periodic change of lubricant is necessary every 45-60 thousand kilometers.

According to the regulations, every 15,000 km it is necessary to check the fluid level in the variator in order to avoid the appearance of some negative points.

Signs of a need for replacement:

  • slippage of the car;
  • the presence of vibrations, tapping and noise in the box;
  • reduction in engine power;
  • the response of the gearbox to driver movements worsens.

If the oils in Automatic Nissan Juke is not enough or it has served its time:

  • the plunger and channels of the valve body are clogged with particles, causing oil deficiency;
  • the temperature rises and the disks of the box are erased due to friction;
  • overheats and burns out the clutch drum, pistons and discs;
  • the hydraulic block wears out.

Filling volume of lubricant - 3 liters. This is exactly how much is needed to prevent oil starvation of the checkpoint on the Beetle and renew the fluid in it.

Changing the oil in an automatic transmission on a Nissan Beetle

List necessary tools to change the oil in the automatic transmission Nissan Juke:

  • a canister of new NS-2 or NS-3 oil - it is this grease that is filled in by the factory, and you can safely pour it in;
  • box pallet gasket;
  • set of wrenches;
  • new filter;
  • new drain plug ring;
  • container for waste liquid;
  • rags;
  • rubber gloves;
  • clean rags.

Oil for NISSAN JUKE is preferable to take the original - NS-2, NS-3 or Nissan SVT Fluid.
Before starting work, the car should be placed on a repair pit or overpass. Changing the oil in an automatic transmission in a Nissan Beetle occurs on a warm engine - this contributes to the rapid draining of waste from all channels and components of the box.

It is important to take into account that the liquid at the outlet is hot, and in order not to get burns, you should take care of your safety: overalls and work with gloves will prevent unwanted contact of the oil with the body.

Partial oil change in automatic transmission

Do-it-yourself partial oil change in a Nissan Zhuk automatic transmission is a simplified scheme of work when lubricating fluid drained and filled, without cleaning the pan and flushing the gearbox.

Replacement is carried out in the following sequence:

  • unscrew drain plug and drain the old oil into a container.
  • Unscrew the pallet of the box and peel off the sealant.
  • Replace or wash the filter and install it in its seat.
  • At the bottom of the pallet, find magnets for collecting chips and dust, clean them with rags.
  • Rinse and dry the pan, then reinstall.
  • Replace pan gasket.
  • Change the drain plug gasket and tighten it.
  • Through control hole pour new product by pulling out the dipstick.
  • Check the oil level on the dipstick when cold.

Tighten the filler hole and drive 10-15 km, checking the level on a hot automatic transmission.

Full oil change in automatic transmission

A complete oil change in an automatic transmission on a Nissan Juke includes flushing the variator - one of the mandatory procedures for a full mode of operation.

  • After the glass is liquid, it is necessary to tighten the drain plug and unscrew the filler hole.
  • Pour in a special flushing agent and start the engine.
  • Without jerks, we switch alternately all gears, lingering for a couple of seconds on each.
  • Shut off the engine and drain all the fluid through the drain.
  • Unscrew the crankcase of the variator and drain the remaining mass.
  • Clean the surface of the crankcase with acetone and reinstall.
  • Pour new oil in the same way and check its level.

On this, independent work on full shift lubricant in automatic transmission Nissan Zhuk is over.

After updating the fluid in the gearbox, it is necessary to periodically check its level and top up. Since, after the first trips, part of the oil will be distributed over the nodes, channels and components of the gearbox.

Often, owners ask themselves the question, in what time and correctly is the oil change in the Nissan Juke automatic transmission done? The car is equipped with an improved version of the “automatic” with a variator, the period for updating the mixture depends on the characteristics of the operation and mileage of the vehicle.

Transmission oil change interval

According to the manufacturer, the box nissan gear The Juke is designed to last the life of the vehicle without the need to intervene in the assembly's lubrication system. Domestic climate, roads and driving nuances make their own adjustments. Experts recommend changing the transmission oil in the automatic transmission of the Nissan Zhuk car after 50-60 thousand kilometers.

In a planned manner, the control of the level of the working fluid of the variator is carried out after 15,000 km. This makes it possible to avoid unforeseen breakdowns. Action is required if:

  • vibrations, extraneous noises and knocks appear in the automatic transmission;
  • motor power decreases;
  • the reaction of the box to the driver's commands becomes worse.

If the mixture is below the recommended level or has exhausted its resource, the channels of the hydraulic block, the plunger become clogged, causing oil starvation. Because of increased friction the discs and valve body wear out, the temperature rises, the pistons and the clutch drum heat up. These factors lead to the need for unscheduled repair or replacement of the Nissan Juke automatic transmission. Three liters of lubricant will be required to update stocks. It is recommended to use original brand CVT Fluid NS.

  • canister of NS grease;
  • pallet lining;
  • filter element;
  • set of wrenches;
  • drain cover ring;
  • processing capacity;
  • rags;
  • gloves.

In order to accurately find out the volume of the liquid being poured and drained, the car is placed on a flyover or pit, after warming up the engine (remains from the nozzles and associated assemblies drain faster). The lubricant composition at the exit has a high temperature, in order to avoid burns, PPE should be used.

Self-changing oil in automatic transmission Nissan Juke

The operation to update the working fluid can be done by hand. On boxes with high mileage, it is preferable partial replacement because the process is gradual.

In this case, you need not just drain the old one and fill in the new one. It is necessary to travel between stages for some time. At the service station, changing the oil in the Nissa Juke gearbox in this way will stretch out, it will take a lot of lubrication, time and money. Use an identical brand filled at the factory.

Draining old oil from the tank

After placing the car on a flyover or pit, unscrew the drain cap and the measuring tube, which controls the level. It is an iron element screwed into the pallet. If more fluid enters the automatic transmission than necessary, the excess will leave through this tube. After dismantling the pallet, a little more mining will merge (3-4 liters). All parts are washed, cleaned and mounted back.

To dismantle the assembly, you will need to remove the front left wheel and fender liner. The rest of the procedure is simple. Unscrew a couple of bolts by 10, remove the tube, remove the old automatic transmission filter, mount the new element in the reverse order.

Filling in new oil

The composition is poured through a special plug, which acts as a probe. Then the Nissan Juke is lifted on a lift, the engine is started, warmed up, each mode is turned on for 4-5 seconds until the automatic transmission warms up to 45 degrees. The plug is unscrewed without touching the measuring tube and wait until the oil begins to come out drop by drop. A day later, the procedure is repeated without dismantling the pan and replacing filters.

  1. Select the "Data Monitor" section in "Consult".
  2. Complete replacement of transmission fluid in automatic transmission

    This procedure on the Nissan Juke includes a mandatory CVT flush. After draining the mining, screw the plug and open the filler hole. Fill a special flushing composition, start the engine. Smoothly switch all gears, with a two-second delay.

    Stop the engine, release the residue through the drain. Unscrew the crankcase of the variator, remove dirt. The surface of the compartment is cleaned with acetone, after which the element is mounted in place. Fill with new grease, check the fill level. After the first filling, this indicator is periodically monitored, if necessary, adding liquid. This is due to the fact that on the first trips the mixture will be distributed through the connecting channels and nodes.

    Conclusion

    Timely oil change nissan box Juke with a CVT helps prevent many of the problematic issues that are typical for automatic transmissions. Before you start working on your own, you should take into account your own experience and skills so as not to aggravate the situation. If you have doubts about your abilities, it is better to entrust the work to specialists.

The story of how a girl changed the oil in the machine.

An interesting outcome?

Filled with 3 liters of mitasu ns-2.

It all started a couple of months ago when I decided to check the oil level in the variator and its condition. Opening the hood, I found that I did not see the dipstick, I looked all over - there was none. Doubting her abilities as an "understood detective," she climbed into the Internet to find the ill-fated probe. Previously, I already had to deal with the design features of Nissan when replacing cabin filter and when connecting foglights, so I was already ready for the fact that the probe could be located anywhere and always in a hard-to-reach place, Nissan engineers love this business, hide it away, but more securely. But everything turned out to be worse than I thought - the probe was simply missing:

"There is no dipstick, the level is checked by the master when changing the fluid.

The drain hole also serves as a level.

Filled - ran from the filler - twisted - gave a circle - raised again - checked the level - perhaps topped up a little.

The Japanese considered that there was nothing for the user to climb there.

Another joke of Nissan, well, there is no dipstick, we will change the oil according to the instructions. AT dealer center it is recommended to change after 60,000 km, but more often (every 20,000 km) is better. I decided to wait and change the oil later when I hit 60,000.

And now this day has come.

Replacing the transmission oil on the beetle lasted for 2 days, I didn’t have to study and communicate so much before for such a simple operation as changing the oil, but I didn’t have a variator either :)

The first day.

I called the service station, where I usually change consumables, made sure that they could change the oil on the beetle and moved to them. The guys looked, they said that there would be no hardware replacement, but there would be a regular one (leaked / filled), 4-5 liters of oil would be needed. But what is it? There is no native (nissan ns-2) for sale (hyperauto) and at the service station. Analogues could not be found immediately. It turned out that the mechanics at my service station had not previously worked with beetles, they had nassans, but not the Beetle. They didn’t take risks and offer me another oil, they offered to wait until the next day until they pick up a suitable analogue. I left a number, I'm waiting for a call.

Second day.

While the guys from the service station were selecting a suitable liquid for the beetle variator, they did not waste time in vain and googled what they write on the "Internet" on this issue.

Initially, what did you want to understand what we are dealing with?

I know exactly the brand of the engine and body, but what about the CVT? What model? What modification? Unclear.

It says "xtronic cvt" on the bumper, but there is no such box in any oil catalog.

Through simple manipulations, we find out that since 2010, the JF015E box from Jatco has been installed on the beetles (the cataloged Nissan standard is RE0F11A), such CVTs have been on many models since March 2010:

"In 2010 Jatco released the next generation of new CVT7-JF015 CVTs to replace their bestselling JF011E.

The design idea is different from the older brother (JF011E). New design also has a torque converter that softens the load on the shafts, a planetary gear for reversing and three packages of clutch clutches: Direct No. 1, - No. 2 and Reverse. This design can be considered a hybrid of a CVT and a two-speed gearbox, which allows successive transmission of torque with smaller cones and a belt, increasing gear ratio with two forward gears. This allows smaller cones to be used, and since cones are the most expensive part variator, then in addition to saving space, there is also a noticeable saving in the price of this variator hybrid.

Designers today have achieved imperceptible shifting in stepped automatic transmissions and considered that when this CVT is accelerated, the gears will shift once like in a stepped automatic transmission, the driver will not notice this.

The new generation of CVTs is destined to become the next Jatko's bestseller for light class front-wheel drive cars with engines from 1.2 (L3) to 1.8 liters (L4): NISSAN Juke, Micra (like RE0F11A) and the rare ones we have: Mirage, March, Roox, Tiida, Moco.

Like JF015E, this variator is massively installed on Suzuki Swift, Splash, Alto, Solio, Lapin and on some Mitsubishi models. And the list of machines with JF015E is constantly expanding."

The same article states that ns-3 gear oil should be used.

In other sources (SRT sites, forums) I found other information that it is better to fill in ns-2.

"09.10.2014 At 16:04

Hello! What kind of oil can be poured into the NISSAN JUKE CVT? Thank you!

10/14/2014 At 06:17

Nissan NS2 only."

Source - www.gearmatic.ru/nissan/juke/

And there were quite a few such sources, some of them referred to the manual and messages from dealers, it turns out that it’s still better to pour ns-2. But it is not available, I climbed on exist. You may have to wait 3-4 days to order. It remains as a backup option, we continue to look for analogues.

So far, only one possible analogue has been found - ns-3. Here's what we found on it:

"29.09.2015 01:06

Oil in the NS-2 or NS-3 variator?

29.09.2015 04:01

not worth it. pour what is on the dipstick, NS3 has a lower viscosity when hot, I suspect the control unit program is different for it.

https://www.drive2.ru/l/5494677/ - here the author writes about the previous generation of the variator, but the following points made me doubt the "usefulness" of ns-3 for my engine:

" NS3, released for cars with a volume

engines from 2 to 3.5 liters. "

My Beetle has a volume of 1.5 liters. Past.

"It is known that NS-3, with a replacement interval of 60 thousand, is positioned for use in

RE0F09A/JF010E and JF016E/JF017E (CVT8/VT)"

On my beetle, the CVT model is JF015E. Again by.

It turns out ns-3 is not a complete analogue of ns-2. Perhaps it can be used after calibrating the variator, but I did not do anything like that.

I call my service station, they report that they have found an analogue - idemitsu cvt f. I find the manual, mine is not listed in the list of nissana variators, but there is a previous variator model, but it is different from mine.

The last attempt - another call to the hyperauto - I torment the consultant, for 15 minutes he patiently searches all the catalogs for my Beetle, we find ns-2, but not nissan, but mitasu. The consultant swears that this is the same nissan ns-2 only in a bank from another manufacturer.

Google, I find positive reviews- https://www.drive2.ru/l/5829357/?page=0#comments

Poured 3 liters of black manure. Beetle growers, change your oil earlier, 60,000 km is too long. They also filled in 3 liters, the pan was not removed (partial replacement). In 20,000 I will do complete replacement with the change of filters (by the way, there are 2 of them) and the removal of the pan, there is still a need for sealant.

In a couple of months I will add a review, I will tell you how my Beetle feels :)

Automatic transmission fluid - check and replacement (CVT RE0F10B)

Do I need to change the oil in the variator?

In politics routine maintenance for a long time there was an ambiguous situation. Jatco mandates periodic oil changes in its CVTs, and automakers often state that the fluid is designed to last the life of the units. On this issue, representatives of dealerships and independent technical centers are unanimous: the oil needs to be updated. Jatco recommends doing this every 60,000 km under normal driving conditions, and shortening this interval in severe conditions. This approach is guaranteed to extend the resource.

Jatco CVTs use two oil filters. The coarse filter located in the sump, when updating the oil, it is enough to rinse. Depending on the variator model, a disposable fine paper filter is located in a mounted heat exchanger or in a separate housing at the end of the unit. Servicemen advise to use only original oil. All Jatco CVTs are very sensitive to the inevitable mixing of fluids with different additive packages. When the variator starts to mope (jerks, kicks appear, acceleration dynamics decrease), it is useless to change the oil in it in the hope of correcting the situation. Typically, such symptoms indicate significant mechanical wear of the elements and the need for repair. At the same time, all emergency modes the work of the variators is activated when things are already very bad (for example, the belt slip has begun). It is important not to postpone the visit to the service. Timely handling sometimes significantly reduces the final cost of repairs, since it is possible to save some elements.

ADDITIONALLY
Question on this topic to the editor of the magazine "Behind the wheel":

I read that the oil in the variator must be changed after 50 thousand kilometers. But in many publications it is written that in the variator it is filled for the entire period of its service. Nothing is said in the instructions. So where is the truth?

The fact that the oil in the variators is filled for the entire service life and does not require replacement is stated by specific auto giants. This is nothing more than a marketing ploy. At the same time, the manufacturers themselves often stipulate in the maintenance regulations that the oil in the CVTs should be updated under severe operating conditions, which include everyday driving in large cities. Moreover, automakers often disagree even when the same variator is installed on different cars. In order to guarantee a longer service life of the variator, it is better to play it safe and give it a “blood transfusion” every 50,000-60,000 km.

How much oil is in the variator and which one to fill in:

8.5 l., Firm fluid NISSAN CVT Fluid NS-2

Checking the fluid level

It is necessary to check the level of the working fluid in the variator after warming up to 50~80’C. The procedure for checking the fluid level is as follows:

1. Check for leaks.

2. After warming up the engine, take a trip by car around the city. If the ambient temperature is 20 ̊C, it will take about ten minutes for the CVT fluid to warm up to 50~80 ̊C.

3. Park the vehicle on a level surface.

4. Apply the parking brake securely.

5. When working on idling engine, pressing the brake pedal, move the selector lever through all positions.

6. Pressing the lock, remove the dipstick from the variator filling pipe.

7. Remove working fluid from the CVT dipstick. Insert the dipstick by turning it 180̊ from the original installation position, then push it all the way into the variator filling pipe.

Use only lint-free paper to wipe the variator probe. Do not use rags.

8. Place the selector lever in position P or N and make sure that the fluid level is within the specified range.

When installing the variator probe in place, insert it into the filling pipe until it locks, turning it into its original position.

Checking the condition of the working fluid

Check the condition of the working fluid of the variator.

If the CVT fluid is very dark or has a burnt smell, check the CVT function. After repairing the variator, flush the cooling system.

If the variator working fluid contains wear particles (clutches, brakes, etc.), after repairing the variator, replace the radiator, flush the cooling system lines with a cleaning agent and blow with compressed air.

Fluid condition Cause Corresponding procedure
Lacquer (viscous state) Change in the chemical composition of the liquid due to exposure high temperatures Change the CVT fluid and check the transmission control unit and vehicle for faults (wiring harnesses, cooling system piping, etc.)
Milky white or hazy Water in the working fluid Change the variator fluid and check for possible water ingress into the variator fluid
With a lot of metal particles Excessive wear of friction surfaces Change working fluid automatic box gears and check the operation of the variator

Changing the working fluid

At the final stage of replacing the working fluid of the variator, it is necessary to replace the gasket of the drain plug with a new one.

1. Remove the drain plug and drain the CVT fluid from the CVT oil pan.

2. Install the drain plug in place, tighten to 34.3 N m.

Do not reuse drain plug gasket.

3. Fill the variator working fluid through the filling pipe to the required level.

Use only genuine NISSAN CVT Fluid NS-2. He mix Various types liquids.

The use of any other fluids will adversely affect the performance of the variator and may cause it to fail, which is not covered by the warranty.

When filling CVT fluid, be careful not to burn yourself on hot parts of the exhaust system.

Shake the CVT fluid container well before filling.

After replacing the working fluid of the variator, it is necessary to delete data on contamination of the working fluid from the memory of the self-diagnosis module using the CONSULT-III device.

4. After warming up the engine, drive the car in the city. If the ambient temperature is 20°C, the drive will take about ten minutes to warm up the CVT to 50~80°C.

5. Check the level and condition of the working fluid of the variator.

6. Repeat steps 1 to 5 if CVT fluid is contaminated.
