The name of the manual transmission nissan sentra. Prohibited except in emergency cases

For two days I tested two Nissan Sentras on Belarusian roads. I compared the impressions of the car with a CVT and a manual transmission. As is usually the case, the character of these two cars is somewhat different.

But first, general impressions. Sentra is built on the same base as Tiida, so about the interior and driving performance I won't write much. You can read the Tiida review and draw all the necessary conclusions. Engines, gearboxes and interior are also the same. The suspension setup is slightly different, but nothing critical. By and large, these are the same cars in different bodies.

The differences are more marketing. Sentra is positioned as a car for people over 35 who need an impressive sedan. And here lies the biggest trick. Too Sentra looks like Nissan Teana practically a younger sister. But do not deceive yourself - these are cars of completely different classes with all the ensuing consequences.

But back to boxes. The variator behaves sluggishly and boringly, no surprises. Too little traction at low, up to two thousand, revolutions. In urban conditions, this is a little annoying, you need to get used to it. But on the track, the speed picks up pretty quickly, but I didn’t get any pleasure - everything is very simple, technical and everyday.

This time I tried the operation of the sport mode of the box, which is activated by a button on the gear lever. On overtaking - a useful option. The meaning of its work is very simple - the engine keeps a greater number of revolutions. Because of this, the engine becomes more responsive and allows for faster and more precise overtaking maneuvers.

But when you press the gas pedal "to the floor", the engine speed can increase to 6500 rpm, which slightly increases the noise in the cabin and fuel consumption. I wouldn't drive with sport mode on all the time. Yes, and the engine is not very useful.

With a manual, things get interesting. The car significantly increases in dynamics, but fuel consumption is expected to increase by an average of 1.5 liters per hundred kilometers in the combined cycle. Although professional publications wrote that the consumption on mechanics is getting smaller. In general, this is logical, but my experience shows the opposite.

In a car with a manual transmission, the noise became noticeably stronger. Engine noise isolation is the same for all trim levels. I conclude that it is the box that adds noise. He is not a hindrance to a calm conversation, but on high speed the noise gets annoying. I want to shift to a higher gear to stop it.

But it’s not always possible to switch higher, the box, unfortunately, is a five-speed one. Therefore, on the highway, the speed will be higher than on a car with a CVT, which means there will be more noise.

Upset the clutch pedal, very long and completely uninformative.

Unfortunately, the most complete Tekna cars are not assembled with mechanics. Turns out to get all the charms modern car(headlight washer, cruise control, leather-wrapped steering wheel and more), you'll have to put up with the CVT.

N Nissan Sentra 2014 took on board five, and more than 500 liters of luggage in the hold. These five immediately began to discuss whether the Japanese from IzhAvto could be trusted, there was no unanimity.

The 2014 Nissan Center itself was ready to take on the challenge, in the sense that it was washed and polished, even its gray color matched the mood on a Moscow autumn day.

AT model range Nissan new sedan occupies an empty niche in which they used to live Almera Classic and Tiida. Now it is located exactly in the middle between the current Logan-like Almera and the truly large Teana.

On paper, or rather, on the glossy screen of the marketer's monitor, everything looks great. Here's a price range calculated to the penny, dimensional characteristics, the largest legroom in the rear passenger, a cute photo with a girl who crossed her legs invitingly, and a list of options ahead of time, like the built-in Facebook application. It turns out that the owners of premium cars can only dream of this, or they simply do not realize how deeply progress has stepped into the masses.

Having received a key-tag from Nissan Sentra in maximum configuration Tekna, we immediately got into the back seat. Yes, the legroom, alas, is not as seductive as in the photo with the girl, indeed, a lot. If your hand reaches out to recline the back of the rear seat, you will find a coarse step in the trunk - it looks unpremium.

The disadvantages of a very roomy trunk include powerful loops that limit the cargo capacity of the Center. But, by removing the head restraint from the front passenger seat, it can be expanded flush with the rear, getting at least 2.5 meters of a flat surface, which can be useful when transporting long items.

And here's the bad luck, the head, with a very average height of 181 cm, for some reason in Nissan Sentra 2014 reaches the ceiling, as in the simplest Hyundai Solaris, although neither in Logan nor in Almere, on back seat there were no such problems. But let's get behind the wheel.

The main thing is that the motor sings, but does not eat. Familiar by Nissan juke engine 1.6 liters produces an impressive 117 hp on paper. and works in tandem with a variator, supplemented by a two-stage planetary gearbox. This is necessary in order to expand the range of transmission gears, optimize dynamics and reduce appetite.

Nissan Sentra 2014 has a kind of ideal, that is, almost imperceptible gearbox that can ensure the engine runs at optimal speed in any driving mode. With smooth acceleration, almost everything is great, the engine runs in the range of 2000-3000 rpm, and the cabin is very quiet. One problem - it is very difficult for the driver to catch such a position of the gas pedal so that the car accelerates, but without strain.

In the pursuit of fuel economy, software developers have dampened reactions to pressing the gas pedal so much that the driver needs a margin of patience or skills in filigree control of his right foot.

At a steady speed, it is even more difficult to dose traction, the transmission is very stretched, for example, at 100 km / h the tachometer shows only 2000 rpm, and the small engine of the Nissan Sentra 2014 sorely lacks traction even to maintain the pace. At the same time, finding the right pedal position is extremely difficult. As a result, you have to use cruise control, and when overtaking thoughtlessly press the gas to the floor, but then the engine spins up to a maximum of 6000 rpm and howls heart-rendingly, and you can forget about fuel economy.

Alternatively, you can use the over-drive off button on the CVT selector. Then the tachometer needle does not drop below 3000-4000 rpm, which improves the dynamics, but kills the silence.

Having suffered enough with such an obstinate variator, I was already ready to transfer to the Nissan Sentra 2014 with mechanics, but, alas, there were no such offers.

In theory mechanical box transmission is available in all trim levels, except for the maximum, and if you really choose the Nissan Sentra 2014, then it’s better to have a three-pedal one, or wait until the engineers reconfigure the electronics. I hope this will not take too long, because Nissan now has its own test center in Russia, it was here that they were able to qualitatively adapt the Center's suspension, and they know about problems with the CVT.

It's good that the engineers of the Renault-Nissan-AvtoVAZ alliance have real ideas about Russian roads. On the 2014 Nissan Sentra, you can race on the gravel road without slowing down, and it turned out to be completely impossible to break through the suspension.

Despite the fact that the specialists who presented the Nissan Sentra 2014 deny the relationship between the "Centre" and "Almera", they have the same wheelbase length, similar suspension schemes, and most importantly, that the driving sensations are close. At a relatively low speed, the driver absorbs a sense of permissiveness. The car swallows all the bumps without a hint of buildup, but as soon as you get closer to the edge of grip properties in a turn, the confidence in the car disappears.

Everything is cultural here, the gap is almost invisible. The body of sedans is usually rigid and is not afraid of twisting on our roads.

Formally, there is a noticeable effort on the steering wheel, but it gives little real information about the grip of the wheels with the road. The steering wheel, like a game joystick, always tends to return to the zero position, without giving the driver any information about how and where he is going. This is a highly anticipated payback for electric power steering, which is designed not so much to help the driver as to save fuel. By the way, fuel consumption, indeed, turned out to be very moderate: depending on the selected speed, it ranges from 6.4 to 7.2 l / 100 km.

How it was possible to achieve such a similarity in the characters of the Nissan Center 2014 and Almera, they could not explain to me at the presentation. This is probably what is called branded family traits.

But in what the Nissan Sentra 2014 surpasses the Almera by a head and even by a head with a cap, this is the interior trim. The scanty budget details were replaced by a soft pad on the front panel, a convenient screen is located where it is convenient for the driver, and not where he accidentally stuck, and the climate control unit is also at hand, and not at the feet of the passenger.

Grumblers will complain about the lower part of the front panel. Yes, she is tough. But on the other hand, there are roomy pockets on the doors and, as it were, leather inserts, there is already a central armrest in the base and even ESP system. Top-end cars even have the main fetish of self-esteem hunters - leather interiors.

Even without electric drives, but leather, leather, and all this at a price of up to a million rubles.

I will not list all the competitors in the C-segment, there are many of them, but marketers have already calculated everything, the difference with classmates will be measured in a few rubles. I’m only a little sorry that Nissan doesn’t even have plans to start deliveries to our country of Pulsar soplatform hatchbacks and Note single-volume cars, which, by the way, didn’t sell badly. Well, as for sedans, try to choose not with a ruble, but with your heart. Yes, the 2014 Nissan Sentra looks good and if this is the next step after the B-class sedans, go ahead, the Sentra is worth its 700-800 thousand.

Engine 1.6 l, 117 hp, paired with a variator, supplemented by a two-stage planetary gearbox. On the gas stops of the hood saved.

But if the budget allows you to look at cars in the maximum configuration, and there is no desire to experiment with IzhAvto products, where Nissan Sentra 2014 will be assembled for you, I advise you to take a closer look at the base Teana. There are even more lengths, and instead of leather and electronics, you will get a much more high-torque 2.5-liter engine and adult handling of a full-fledged business class sedan.

the operation of the brake lights can lead to an accident and
injury to you and those around you.

Protection mode stepless-adjustable
transmission (CVT) from overheating

This type of transmission has a built-in protection system
from overheating. If the temperature of the working fluid becomes
too high, then the engine power, and in some
cases and vehicle speed will be limited due to
transmission damage. Such a situation may
occur when overcoming steep climbs in the heat on
a heavily loaded vehicle or a vehicle towing a trailer. You
you can control the speed of the car with the pedal
whether the accelerator, however, the speed crankshaft
engine and vehicle speed will be limited.

Emergency mode

After activation emergency mode CVT transmission not
will shift into the selected gear.

Emergency mode may be activated if the vehicle
moves in very difficult conditions, for example, with alternating
vaniya intensive wheel slip with emergency braking
zhenie. This happens even if electrical system
completely correct. In this case, turn off the
turn the ignition switch to the OFF position and wait 10 seconds.
Then turn the ignition switch back to the
ON. Transmission should return to normal
work. If this does not happen, please contact
service station of an official NISSAN dealer for
transmission verification and repair.

DANGER

After switching on the emergency mode, the vehicle speed
may be gradually reduced. As a result, the speed of your
car may become smaller than other cars
lei in the traffic flow, which increases the likelihood
traffic accident. Be especially
careful while driving. If necessary,
pull over to the side of the road in a safe place to
try to transfer the transmission to normal operation
you or call a tow truck.

ATTENTION

While the vehicle is in motion, do not keep

foot on the clutch pedal. This can bring out the clutch
out of order.

To avoid damage to the gearbox, it is necessary

fully depress the clutch pedal before

Engage reverse gear only after full

car stops.

If you need to stop the car for a while,

e.g. at a traffic light, move the lever to the position
N (Neutral), release the clutch pedal and depress

Pulling off the car

1. Fully depress the pedal before starting off

clutch and move the lever to position 1 (First
gear) or R (Reverse).

2. Slowly depress the accelerator pedal while releasing

depressing the clutch pedal and disengaging the parking brake.

Gear shift

When shifting gears, fully depress the
clutch distance, switch to desired gear and floating
but release the clutch pedal.

For smooth gear shifting, you should fully
depress the clutch before choosing a gear. If the pedal
clutch is not fully pressed, then the gear
may be accompanied by extraneous noise (grinding
synchronizer teeth). As a result, the gearbox
may be damaged and fail.

Move off in 1st gear and then follow-
but go to 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th (for some
vehicle variants) transmission depending on
from the speed of movement.

If engaging first gear or reverse gear
difficult, it is necessary to move the lever to position N
(Neutral) and release the clutch pedal. Then one more time
fully depress the clutch pedal and try
read the desired transmission.

You will not be able to shift the gearbox directly
directly from position 5 (5th gear) to position R
(Reverse). Before shifting into R (Reverse)
you must first move the gear lever to
position N (Neutral).
