The “x-ray” girl surprised scientists again. Natasha Demkina from Saransk sees through a person The doctors themselves come to see the girl

The whole world knows about the unique gift of the Saransk schoolgirl Natalia Demkina. "X-ray girl" can, without special equipment, visually make a preliminary diagnosis to any patient. Natalya herself treats the “glued” phrase calmly. “I won’t say that I liked it. But if it is fixed, let it stay,” she says. Natalya explains the faded interest in her person in the media with her great employment.

Now Demkina is studying at the Semashko Moscow State Medical and Dental University. According to her, studying takes a lot of time and effort. “You have to study a lot, you disappear at the university from seven to seven, then I read at home until midnight,” she says. - Teachers treat me like an ordinary student, and sometimes they even arrange exams with passion, drive me through all the materials. Although some teachers even turned to me for help, I try not to advertise my gift.”

In her hometown, Natalia has many friends left, in relation to them she tries to behave as before. According to Demkina herself, “stardom” does not threaten her. In Saransk, the "X-ray girl" attended driving courses and finally got her license, although, according to Natasha, she still does not have a car - they drive her parents' "seven".

In Moscow, Demkina works with graduates at the Center for Special Human Diagnostics.

Natalya Demkina - "X-ray girl"

According to Natalia, people from all over the world flock to her, especially from Germany, England, and Japan. “But I don’t do mysticism,” the X-ray girl says, “so patients should fix my diagnosis with traditional medicine methods.” The girl's abilities were repeatedly tested by scientists from around the world. The greatest skepticism towards Natasha's gift was shown in the USA. American scientists tried to explain the girl's gift by the unusual structure of the retina, or by hypnotic abilities. The last "test" Natalya took place in Japan - scientists were satisfied with the results of the experiments.

However, very often "simple" patients complained about the girl's inattention, or even mistakes. Evgenia Kildyushova from Saransk lamented the fact that with great difficulty she made an appointment with the “X-ray girl”.

“I collected the last money,” she says, “I’m going, but doubts gnaw at me. For me, 500 rubles was a lot of money. My mother met me in the hallway, checked my last name on the list and invited me to her daughter's room. Natalya looked at me intently, but I did not feel anything special. Then she began to tell me that my stomach seemed to be bad, dark, there were diseases like a woman. I wait further, but this, as it turned out, the session ended. He says more, I see nothing. I left her with tears in my eyes and went to my clinic to the doctors for an examination. They don't charge that kind of money for it. I don’t trust anyone else, maybe I didn’t give enough money, but they set the fee themselves, it’s not clear.

And so it turns out, success abroad, and "their own" in doubt: is there really a gift? Why doesn't it always "work"? It is probably no coincidence that the excitement has passed: few people want to step on the same rake.

Oksana Anikina

) - became known as the "X-ray girl". According to her, she has a "second sight", which sees the insides of a person. She herself says this about it:

I seem to have two views. I can switch at any moment just like that, for no reason. One has only to want to look at a person's health. Such a switch for me is not difficult, just think about it. I see the full structure of the body, who has what and where it is and how it works. How I define the disease is difficult to explain. Something like impulses come from the affected organs. The second sight operates only during daylight hours and falls asleep at night.

At the same time, she does not see herself from the inside.

Experiment

The experiment was organized as follows: Natalia had to examine seven volunteers, six of whom had deviations visible on x-rays (one had no such deviations), and mark on special cards describing deviations in English and Russian the number of the participant in the experiment who had the data deviations. The test was conducted in six rounds. Before each attempt, Natalia was explained in detail, with the help of texts in Russian and English, as well as illustrations, which defect should be detected. Under the terms of the experiment, with the correct result, in five cases out of seven, the commission would recognize that Natalia's abilities were worthy of further study. The conditions of the experiment were agreed with Natalia and her mother in advance, and they fully agreed with them. Volunteers had the following features:

  • removed appendix for appendicitis
  • removed lower esophagus
  • metal surgical "staples" on the chest after heart surgery
  • artificial hip joint
  • removed upper lobe of the left lung
  • a metal plate covering a defect in the bones of the skull

Experiment result

As a result of the experiment, Natalya gave the correct answer in four cases, despite the fact that, according to the statement of Natalya and her mother, she is never wrong. At the same time, it took her four hours to establish diagnoses, although before that she claimed that she could make a diagnosis in a few minutes.

The subject's biggest mistake was not being able to identify the large metal plate in the skull of one of the volunteers. Several violations of the test protocol were also noted. For example, Natalia arrived early for the test and saw two volunteers walking up a long flight of stairs on the way to the building where the test was taking place. In this way, she could assess their physical condition. In the testing room, contrary to the original protocol, Natalya's mother was present. Natalya's friend, who acted as a translator, repeatedly received and sent SMS during the test. In addition, during the first attempt at diagnostics in English, the translator loudly announced to the volunteers which traces of which operation Natalia would try to find. The organizers of the experiment noted in their report that all correctly guessed cases belonged to subjects whose external condition most clearly indicated a state of health. For example, a volunteer with no defects was the youngest and healthiest looking in the group, while a person who had heart surgery was the oldest and least looking. In addition, Natalia mistakenly chose the only volunteer who came to the test in a baseball cap as the person who underwent surgery on the skull.

Despite the violations, the commission conducted the test based on the fact that the purpose of the test is not to expose Natalia's abilities. The results were to show whether her abilities were worthy of further study.

Natalia's reaction

Natalia herself does not agree with the conclusions of the commission and points out that she had no experience of seeing several patients at the same time. She also points to a hostile psychological atmosphere during the experiment.

Future life

In 2004, Natalya graduated from school, passing the exam with 96 points and became a student of the medical faculty of the Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry.

An excerpt characterizing Demkina, Natalya Nikolaevna

“Well, what about my heirs?” Pierre said. "Suddenly I'll get married ... It might happen," he added with an involuntary smile.
- And I dare to report: a good thing, Your Excellency.
“How easy he thinks,” thought Pierre. He doesn't know how scary it is, how dangerous it is. Too soon or too late… Scary!”
- How would you like to order? Would you like to go tomorrow? Savelich asked.
- Not; I will postpone a little. I'll tell you then. Excuse me for the trouble, ”said Pierre, and looking at Savelich’s smile, he thought:“ How strange, however, that he does not know that now there is no Petersburg and that first of all it is necessary that this be decided. However, he certainly knows, but only pretends. Talk to him? What does he think? thought Pierre. No, sometime later.
At breakfast, Pierre told the princess that he had been at Princess Mary's yesterday and found him there - can you imagine who? - Natalie Rostova.
The princess pretended that she did not see anything more unusual in this news than in the fact that Pierre saw Anna Semyonovna.
– Do you know her? Pierre asked.
“I saw the princess,” she answered. - I heard that she was married to the young Rostov. This would be very good for the Rostovs; They say they are completely broke.
- No, do you know Rostov?
“I only heard about this story then. Very sorry.
“No, she doesn’t understand or pretends to be,” thought Pierre. "Better not tell her either."
The princess also prepared provisions for Pierre's journey.
“How kind they all are,” thought Pierre, “that now, when it certainly couldn’t be more interesting for them, they are doing all this. And everything for me; that's what's amazing."
On the same day, a police chief came to Pierre with a proposal to send a trustee to the Faceted Chamber to receive the things that were now being distributed to the owners.
“This one too,” thought Pierre, looking into the face of the police chief, “what a glorious, handsome officer and how kind! Now he's dealing with such nonsense. And they say that he is not honest and uses. What nonsense! And yet, why shouldn't he use it? That's how he was brought up. And everyone does it. And such a pleasant, kind face, and smiles, looking at me.
Pierre went to dine with Princess Mary.
Driving through the streets between the conflagrations of houses, he marveled at the beauty of these ruins. Chimneys of houses, fallen off walls, picturesquely reminiscent of the Rhine and the Colosseum, stretched, hiding each other, through the burnt quarters. The cabbies and riders who met, the carpenters who cut the log cabins, the traders and shopkeepers, all with cheerful, beaming faces, looked at Pierre and said as if: “Ah, here he is! Let's see what comes out of it."
At the entrance to the house of Princess Mary, Pierre was doubtful about the fairness of the fact that he was here yesterday, saw Natasha and spoke with her. “Maybe I made it up. Maybe I'll go in and see no one." But before he had time to enter the room, as already in his whole being, by the instant deprivation of his freedom, he felt her presence. She was in the same black dress with soft folds and the same hairdo as yesterday, but she was completely different. If she had been like that yesterday, when he entered the room, he could not have failed to recognize her for a moment.
She was the same as he knew her almost as a child and then the bride of Prince Andrei. A cheerful, inquiring gleam shone in her eyes; there was an affectionate and strangely mischievous expression on his face.
Pierre dined and would have sat out all evening; but Princess Mary was on her way to Vespers, and Pierre left with them.
The next day, Pierre arrived early, dined and sat out the whole evening. Despite the fact that Princess Mary and Natasha were obviously glad to have a guest; despite the fact that all the interest in Pierre's life was now concentrated in this house, by evening they had talked everything over, and the conversation moved incessantly from one insignificant subject to another and was often interrupted. Pierre sat up so late that evening that Princess Mary and Natasha looked at each other, obviously expecting him to leave soon. Pierre saw this and could not leave. It became difficult for him, awkward, but he kept sitting, because he could not get up and leave.
Princess Mary, not foreseeing the end of this, was the first to get up and, complaining of a migraine, began to say goodbye.
- So you are going to Petersburg tomorrow? Oka said.
“No, I’m not going,” Pierre said hastily, with surprise and as if offended. - No, to Petersburg? Tomorrow; I just don't say goodbye. I’ll call for commissions, ”he said, standing in front of Princess Marya, blushing and not leaving.
Natasha gave him her hand and left. Princess Mary, on the contrary, instead of leaving, sank into an armchair and, with her radiant, deep gaze, looked sternly and attentively at Pierre. The weariness that she had obviously shown before was completely gone now. She sighed heavily and long, as if preparing herself for a long conversation.
All the embarrassment and awkwardness of Pierre, when Natasha was removed, instantly disappeared and was replaced by an excited animation. He quickly moved the chair very close to Princess Marya.
“Yes, I wanted to tell you,” he said, answering, as if in words, in her glance. “Princess, help me. What should I do? Can I hope? Princess, my friend, listen to me. I know everything. I know that I'm not worth it; I know it's impossible to talk about it now. But I want to be her brother. No, I don't want... I can't...
He stopped and rubbed his face and eyes with his hands.
“Well, here it is,” he continued, apparently making an effort on himself to speak coherently. I don't know since when I love her. But I have loved her alone, alone in my whole life, and I love her so much that I cannot imagine life without her. Now I do not dare to ask for her hand; but the thought that maybe she could be mine and that I would miss this opportunity ... opportunity ... is terrible. Tell me, can I hope? Tell me what should I do? Dear princess,” he said, after a pause and touching her hand, as she did not answer.
“I am thinking about what you told me,” Princess Mary answered. “I'll tell you what. You are right, what now to tell her about love ... - The princess stopped. She wanted to say: it is now impossible for her to talk about love; but she stopped, because for the third day she saw from the suddenly changed Natasha that not only Natasha would not be offended if Pierre expressed his love to her, but that she wanted only this.
“It’s impossible to tell her now,” Princess Marya said anyway.
“But what am I to do?
“Give it to me,” said Princess Mary. - I know…
Pierre looked into the eyes of Princess Mary.
“Well, well…” he said.
“I know that she loves ... she will love you,” Princess Mary corrected herself.
Before she had time to say these words, Pierre jumped up and, with a frightened face, grabbed Princess Mary by the hand.
- Why do you think? Do you think that I can hope? You think?!
“Yes, I think so,” said Princess Mary, smiling. - Write to your parents. And entrust me. I'll tell her when I can. I wish it. And my heart feels that it will be.

The whole world learned about the phenomenal abilities of 17-year-old Natasha Demkina at the beginning of this year. Newspapers were full of headlines about "girl- x-ray", which can shine through people like a medical device. American journalists gave Natasha a live test and came to unexpected conclusions.

The gift of the x-ray girl opened for no reason at the age of 10.

“Mom, I see how your blood is moving,” Natasha X-ray suddenly said, lying with her mother on the couch. Both of them weren't even afraid. And they were not surprised when the girl suddenly began to correctly pronounce medical terms. But in the family they did not have a single doctor.

The first patients, of course, were my mother's girlfriends. Friends followed them. When our x-ray girl was already in her senior year, a queue of patients from different cities lined up at the door of her apartment. For seven years, the "X-ray girl" "permeated her gaze" with about 10 (!) Thousands of patients.

The real glory fell on the girl - x-ray in January of this year. English journalists brought Natasha to London, and on one of the TV channels live in front of millions of viewers, she showed the miracles of diagnostics with one hundred percent success. The X-ray girl was immediately interested in the well-known Discovery TV channel, which decided to make a film about her. Natasha signed a contract with the channel for six months, one of the conditions of which was a ban on communication with other media.

During this time, Natasha X-ray graduated from the gymnasium with a gold medal. According to the Unified State Examination, she scored 96 points out of 100. And, having passed only one exam in biology, she became a student of the medical faculty of the Moscow State Dental University. Semashko.

In New York, the Commission on the Study of the Paranormal gave our x-ray girl, in our words, a "deuce". And the English newspaper The Guardian called Demkina a charlatan.

Found a nail in my tooth

I am not x-ray! - in the hearts she immediately blurted out. - The X-ray function is somewhat different from mine. The device scans completely and immediately. And for me, in order to view the whole organism, I need to deal with each organ separately.

Look at my jaws - find a surprise there, - I asked Natasha-X-ray through my teeth and tightly closed my mouth.

We look into each other's eyes for a few seconds, then she looks away and ... strikes me on the spot. The “X-ray girl” “saw” a carnation-pin screwed into my dental canal after the removal of the nerve a year (!) Ago, and even a lump-seal on the gum from the inside (!) Side.

American tricks on the x-ray girl

So what happened in New York? I ask, recovering from a slight shock.

The story as told by the Demkin family really turned out to be dark. In London, the abilities of our x-ray girl were tested by journalists. There was no doctor around. 6-8 patients were brought to Natasha, and then her diagnosis was compared with what was entered in their medical records. The coincidence was one to one. Therefore, Natasha X-ray soon appeared on live television, where she "watched" patients in front of the audience. In general, the success was stunning. But not backed by science.

Already other journalists from the Discovery Channel brought the X-ray girl to New York and handed over to the head of the Commission for the Study of the Paranormal, Richard Wiseman. He is famous for the fact that at one time he allegedly brought to light Uri Geller, who with his eyes bent iron spoons and stopped the clock on Big Ben. But Wiseman doesn't have a degree either. He is a former illusionist who has made it his mission to expose the tricks of others.

This commission created unbearable conditions for me during testing, - says Natasha - x-ray. - Firstly, they put me in the same room with seven patients at once. And I had to diagnose each of them. And usually I take one. So the session lasted several hours. But in the end, Wiseman set me up. I could not compare my diagnoses with the official conclusions of doctors. They were not shown to me afterwards. For example, I didn't "see" a metal plate in one guy's head. Or maybe she wasn't? In another test, I was asked to point to one person out of seven who had a scar on his body. And there were two women with completely identical scars, and in the same place. Only the reasons for the origin of these scars were different: one had an appendix removed, and the other had a gynecological operation. I mentioned this misunderstanding to the commission, and they say that I should point out only one person. I freaked out and pointed to the one with gynecology, because it's more serious than appendicitis. And to offset the commission, it turns out, a woman with a scar from appendicitis was needed. So I didn't get another point. Moreover, one of the commission members accused me of receiving information about patients via SMS. From God, right? I have no friends or enemies in America. And one psychologist argued that supposedly I, an x-ray girl, see diseases by gestures and facial expressions. And he even volunteered to diagnose patients with me. As a result, he has zero points, and I have 4 out of 7. This is almost 60 percent of the hit. But the commission still did not recognize my phenomenon.

Did you like the movie about yourself?

Me on him ... in parallel, - without hiding her displeasure, Natalya said - x-ray. - The key phrase that sounded at the end of the film puts an end to me: "If we recognized Natasha's gift, then all fundamental medicine should be thrown into the trash." I was needed for filming as an excuse to debunk unusual abilities.

Natalya Nikolaevna Demkina (1987, Saransk) - known as the "X-ray girl". According to her, she has a "second sight", with which she sees the insides of a person. She herself says this about it:

I seem to have two views. I can switch at any moment just like that, for no reason. One has only to want to look at a person's health, says Natasha. - Such a switch is not difficult for me, just think about it. I see the full structure of the body, who has what and where it is and how it works. How I define the disease is difficult to explain. Something like impulses come from the affected organs. The second sight operates only during daylight hours and falls asleep at night.

At the same time, she does not see herself from the inside.

According to the media, the diagnoses made to her were often more accurate than the diagnoses made by doctors using medical equipment. However, in the course of an experiment staged on May 1, 2004 by the popular science TV channel Discovery Channel, she failed to confirm her abilities. According to Natalia herself, in the course of the experiment she was placed in unfavorable conditions in advance.

The history of the phenomenon

According to Natasha and her parents, she developed unusual abilities at the age of ten. At first, Natasha looked through acquaintances and relatives, the phenomenon received wide publicity in the winter of 2003-2004, when television reported on it. By that time, Natasha was in the last grade of the school. In January 2004, at the invitation of the English press, Natasha (together with her mother) visited London, where Natasha demonstrated her abilities during a live broadcast. She also took part in an experiment organized by the Sun tabloid. The journalist Briony Worden, who received numerous fractures as a result of a car accident, acted as "experimental material". Natasha managed to point out all the woman's fractures.

Experiment in New York

In March 2004, the American Discovery Channel (specializing in popular science and educational programs) became interested in the girl's phenomenon. This time, it was not journalists who organized the experiment, but the Committee for the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal (CSICOP) and the Commission for Scientific Medicine and Mental Health (CSMMH). Scientists took part in the preparation of the program of experiments: Professor Emeritus of the University of Oregon (University of Oregon, USA) Dr. Ray Hyman and Professor of Psychology at the University of Hertfordshire (University of Hertfordshire, UK) Dr. journalist and editor of the Journal of the American Medical Association.

The experiment was organized as follows: Natasha had to examine seven volunteers, six of whom had deviations visible on x-rays (one had no such deviations) and mark on special cards describing deviations in English and Russian the number of the participant in the experiment who had these deviations . According to the conditions of the experiment, with the correct result, in five cases out of seven, the commission would recognize that the Natasha phenomenon is worthy of further study. The conditions of the experiment were agreed with Natasha and her mother in advance. They fully agreed with them. Volunteers had the following features: removed appendix for appendicitis, removed lower esophagus, metal surgical "staples" on the chest after heart surgery, artificial hip joint; removed upper lobe of the left lung and a metal plate covering the defect of the skull bones.

As a result of the experiment, Natasha gave the correct answer in four cases, despite the fact that, according to Natasha and her mother, the girl is never wrong. Thus, the result was considered unsatisfactory. At the same time, the diagnosis took her four hours, although before that she claimed that she could make a diagnosis in a few minutes. The test was conducted in six rounds. Before each attempt, Natasha was explained in detail (using texts in Russian and English, as well as illustrations) what kind of defect needed to be detected. The subject's worst mistake was not being able to identify the large metal plate in the skull of one of the volunteers. Several violations of the test protocol were also noted. For example, Natasha arrived early for the test and saw two volunteers walking up a long flight of stairs on their way to the building where the test was taking place. In this way, she could assess their physical condition. In the testing room, contrary to the original protocol, Natasha's mother was present. Natasha's friend, who acted as a translator, repeatedly received and sent SMS during the test. In addition, during the first attempt at diagnostics in English, the translator loudly announced to the volunteers the traces of which operation Natasha would try to find. The organizers of the experiment noted in their report that all correctly guessed cases belonged to subjects whose external condition most clearly indicated a state of health. For example, the unaffected volunteer was the youngest and healthiest looking in the group, the person who had heart surgery was the oldest and least looking. In addition, Natasha mistakenly chose the only volunteer who showed up for the test in a baseball cap as the person who underwent skull surgery. Despite the violations, the commission conducted the test, proceeding from the fact that the purpose of the test is not to expose Natasha's abilities. The results were supposed to show whether the abilities of the "X-ray girl" were worthy of further study.

Natasha's reaction

The “X-ray girl” herself does not agree with the conclusions of the commission. She points out that she has no experience with seeing multiple patients at the same time. She also talks about the hostile psychological atmosphere that prevailed during the experiment.

Experiment in London

The British edition of The Sun had the opportunity to experience the incredible abilities of a young Russian woman with unique "X-ray" vision, from their own experience. First, 17-year-old Natasha Demkina from Saransk stunned doctors with her ability to see through a person in her native country.

Together with the staff of the British newspaper, the brilliant child flew to London.

The editors of the newspaper unanimously decided to choose reporter Briony Warden, who received numerous injuries as a result of an accident, to confirm the extraordinary abilities of the Saransk girl. In October last year, Briony was hit by a car.

She is currently recovering from the accident and uses props and a wheelchair to get around. Before Natasha showed up at Briony's home in North London, the reporter removed the brace from her leg and covered up any visible signs of her injuries. Arriving at the site of the experiment, a petite blonde, who, according to the publication, looks younger than her years, was subjected to an exam.

Briony, 36, said that she appeared before the eyes of a unique teenager fully dressed and allowed herself to be seen.

This is how a British journalist described a meeting with a Russian child prodigy

"Her pupils dilated and she seemed to go into a trance for a few minutes."

"First she started looking at an injured area at the base of my back, which she called a 'blockage'. "I actually have four healing back fractures and a little nerve damage."

“She described my pelvic area as asymmetric and pointed to the correct side, the one where there were several fractures. Pointing to my jaw, she said that she saw a “hard foreign body.” As Briony later explained, she had a titanium plate in this place that supports the bones.

"The most amazing moment was when she saw the damage to my left leg."

"In fact, both my tibia and fibula - both below the knee - are broken. I was amazed as she immediately 'saw' two separate fractures and said I was having trouble bending the knee."

"Then she reported that she saw 'traces of several metal pins and screws, which left marks on the bone. "She couldn't know without seeing the scars that, two weeks ago, my leg was held together with half a dozen pins and screws."

"She even said that the scars where the pins were were covered with new tissue - this was also absolutely accurate, as my last x-ray showed it."

A stunned Briony added: "Natasha is an amazing person. At first I was very skeptical, but only until she focused on my major fractures. I was very impressed. It was like she was looking at my x-ray. Only my orthopedic consultant may have known more."

After the examination, The Sun employees spoke about the accident that happened to Brioni. Natasha, in turn, said that she sees that "everything is healing very well."

For the first time Natasha Demkina felt her gift when she was 10 years old.

One day she began to tell her mother about how the human body works. The girl did not know the name of many organs and called the kidneys beans, and the intestines - a corrugated hose. The frightened mother turned to specialists. At the doctor's appointment, Natasha unexpectedly spoke about the structure of his body. Then the doctors were confused.

According to Natasha, she has two visions. One ordinary, like all normal people, and another that allows her to see through a person.

The girl is able to "see" the organs, determine their condition, "see" any cell, recognize a bacterium, a virus that has entered the body. She switches to the second "vision" at will, but after long sessions she has a severe headache. The young psychic can neither "look" nor heal herself.

Tatyana Demkina tried to hide her daughter's anomaly, but soon crowds of afflicted people poured in to her. Once a woman who could not conceive a child for more than 9 years turned. Natasha agreed to help, and in due time the woman gave birth to a boy. But the happy family did not even invite the girl to look at the baby. Most of all, the schoolgirl was hurt precisely by the indifference of those whom she helped.

Natasha dreams of becoming a doctor in order to legally engage in her life's work and save the sick. Her mother repeatedly turned to specialists to confirm her daughter's gift.

For example, in the Children's District Hospital N1, a schoolgirl was shown a little girl suffering from a whole bunch of diseases. Natasha described each diseased organ. Her diagnosis fully coincided with the examination data.

In the republican anti-tuberculosis dispensary, she was shown a patient with tuberculosis and cancer. The girl said that the woman did not have cancer, and after a month and a half, the doctors recognized the error in the diagnosis. Soon the patient was cured of tuberculosis.

The last experiment took place in the medical unit "Orbita", when computed tomography confirmed the presence of a brain tumor in a man, which Natasha "saw". Each time, doctors recognized the unusual gift of the schoolgirl, but refused to formalize it.

As a result, Natasha's abilities attracted the attention of the English media. Several notes appeared in the London newspapers, after which a real hunt began for the Mordovian girl.

Local journalists who wrote about her began to receive calls from representatives of the English press. One of the British journalists said that on January 23, Natasha flew to London. Allegedly, the Daily Express newspaper signed a contract with her, according to other sources, the contract was signed by one of the richest "yellow" newspapers in the UK Sun, which operated through the Daily Express. One of his contract clauses is the examination of a Saransk schoolgirl in a scientific laboratory.

“We hid our daughter’s gift for a long time,” said Natasha’s father, Nikolai Demkin. “But her uniqueness nevertheless “surfaced” to the surface, after which our family was attacked by journalists. The phone was bursting with calls, they even came from NTV. Local newspapers also wrote a lot about her, although some articles brought us a lot of grief.

As a result, according to Nikolai Demkin, the British signed a contract with her, according to which she must stay in London for two weeks. “I am happy that my daughter has achieved such success. I am an ordinary person and do not have any paranormal abilities. I myself often resort to her services, the last time she “brought” sand out of my kidneys,” he said.

A unique gift was discovered by Mordovian doctors in a sixteen-year-old resident of Saransk, Natalya Demkina. The girl has "double vision". She is able to see the internal structure of the human body without x-rays and ultrasound. Natasha has repeatedly challenged the diagnoses of doctors and has never made a mistake. Proof of this is a series of medical experiments conducted in the republican children's clinic No. 1.

Ordinary child

My daughter grew up as an ordinary child, - says Natasha's mother Tatyana Vladimirovna. - Except more intelligent. She started talking early, at six months. At the age of one she recited the poems of Pushkin and Nekrasov by heart, and at the age of three she already learned the alphabet on her own and desperately steered the Buran snowmobile. From childhood she was a hardened girl, until winter she almost went naked. Sometimes after the bath I would wrap it in only one sheet and carry it a hundred meters to the house, and then again, in order to open the latch on the door, I put it barefoot on the snow. But to see through human organs? There was no such thing!"

Where the gift came from is still a mystery for the Demkin family. Perhaps the impetus for insight was an unsuccessful operation. Natasha had her appendix removed. However, when the time came to be discharged from the hospital, the girl could not straighten up. Ultrasound showed that the hasty doctors forgot to remove the tampons from the intestinal cavity.

Natasha was again placed on the operating table and the stitches were opened. A month later, she amazed her mother with her discoveries. "You have a corrugated hose inside you, like our vacuum cleaner, two beans, a tomato that looks like an ox's heart," she said. At that time, the girl did not have medical skills and did not know the names of human organs, what the intestines, kidneys, heart are, therefore, in form she compared them with known things.

At first, mom was scared why her daughter suddenly started talking about all this, and decided to show her to the doctors. The doctors were unable to explain what was happening to the girl and sent her to a psychotherapist. The doctor concluded: Natasha is fine. "What do you see inside me?" the psychotherapist asked. Natasha drew a "pouch for food" with a spot in the place where the doctor had an ulcer on his stomach. Surprised by the girl's extra abilities, the therapist told her mother: "This is our future Vanga."

By the way, according to Vanga's prediction, a few months after her death, the gift of healing should go to a girl living in an unknown country. Perhaps this is a mere coincidence, but Natasha "saw the light" less than six months after Vanga's death.

Enough to switch

Employees of children's polyclinic No. 1 decided to conduct several experiments to make sure of the girl's abilities. Natasha was shown a patient with a whole bunch of diseases. And the girl listed them without difficulty, and the ultrasound confirmed her words. Many doctors were quite jealous of the results of the examinations.

As a doctor, I am for traditional treatment, such providence without medical devices and tests goes against my specialty in the first place, ”Irina Kachan, an endocrinologist at children's polyclinic No. 1, told Izvestia. “Nevertheless, I admit that the girl has extraordinary abilities. Let her not have a 100% accuracy in determining the diagnosis, but the percentage of hits is high. And errors occur only due to the fact that she is not a specialist, she has her own explanation about illnesses. For example, I see a spasm of the head vessels in a patient, she also sees shiny balls, which, in her opinion, need to be caught and the pain will pass. In order to become a professional, a girl definitely needs knowledge and medical education.

At the cellular level, Natasha can see any pathology hiding deep inside, which is not always possible with x-rays and ultrasound. During experiments in the clinic, the girl first encountered the principle of ultrasound. It turned out that she sees the reaction of internal organs to the device. According to Natasha, during the examination, they shrink, as if from the touch of a cold hand on the body.

But Natasha cannot see herself from the inside: “I have been coughing for a long time and have no time to take care of myself. I even forget to look at my sister until my mother reminds me thirty times a day.”

The doctors themselves come to see the girl

To understand the peculiarities of the human body, Natasha began to study at the multidisciplinary academy at the Ogarev Mordovian State University. There she specializes in medicine. "Knowing medical terms, I can make an accurate diagnosis. I need to know and understand what exactly I see. This will make it easier to work with people who come for a consultation."

Meanwhile, there are more and more people wishing to consult with the girl every day. The news of her abilities quickly spread throughout the district. Now, in the Demkins' apartment, up to twenty phone calls a day are heard with a plea for help.

Even a live line of visitors appeared, - says Natasha. - I can’t refuse people and I can’t take money from them either. So sometimes I get very tired. And some won't even say thank you...

The two-room apartment of the Demkins cannot accommodate everyone who wants to get a consultation, so many have to wait in line on the stairs, which the neighbors especially do not like.

Some of them even applied to the ROVD with a request to conduct an inspection in a strange apartment. But the police did not find anything reprehensible.

Doctors themselves very often turn to Natasha for advice. Natasha repeatedly disputed their diagnoses: “One visitor came for treatment with a diagnosis of cancer. I looked at her and didn’t see anything like that. Although she said that there was a cyst. "But repeated histology confirmed the correctness of Natasha's diagnosis.

The girl was approached by a young man with three kidneys, two of which were fused. The doctors insisted on an operation. Natasha advised the young man not to touch the kidneys: "As long as they work normally and do not pose any threat to the body."

In addition, Natasha helped a woman who was advised by doctors to undergo a diagnostic autopsy. The girl saw the development of cancer in the patient, said on which segment the disease is located.

Because of the many visitors, Natasha only sleeps four or five hours a day. After all, she still has to study and do her homework. In her spare time, she reads books, grows flowers, takes care of the dog and fish.

I want to enter the Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy. But the amount for study - 70 thousand rubles a year - I will not pull, - the girl says, - and here my gift is powerless.

Natasha is right. Despite a number of experiments and medical conclusions, her abilities need to be backed up with scientific evidence and facts. Now the girl hopes that scientists will notice her and conduct all the necessary experiments. She is ready to give herself to the doctors as a "guinea pig". "I have nothing to hide," she says.

Girl-"X-ray" surprised scientists again

Svetlana KUZINA [email protected], Komsomolskaya Pravda, January 14, 2006

Psychic Natalya Demkina returned from Japan with a complete victory

About a 19-year-old resident of Saransk, and now a student at the Moscow Medical University. Semashko Natalya Demkina, who shines through people like an X-ray machine, we wrote more than once, see "KP" for October 9, 26, November 30, 2004 and April 19, 2005). Scientists were also interested in the phenomenon: Demkina was invited to London and New York - for "tests". The British unconditionally recognized Natasha's gift, while the Americans had doubts. They did not like that the girl correctly saw the diseases "only" in four out of seven patients. Not enough seemed overseas experts. But last summer, the Japanese volunteered to check it. Then the positive result was five out of seven. And here is another check - again in Tokyo. The result is 100%!

Don't get along with the dog

In all patients, I saw the disease correctly - as it was written in their medical records! - Natalya, who returned from abroad, did not hide her joy.

This time the Japanese have tightened the experiment. Last year, Demkina determined the illnesses of people who sat opposite her at arm's length. Scientists then doubted: maybe patients give out their "sores" with the help of their eyes? Or send signals with one hand movement? Or maybe Natasha herself somehow provokes people to give out all their secrets? For example, with the help of hypnosis? The last time she was even taken to the veterinary clinic. An old Rottweiler stood motionless on the table.

It is difficult to negotiate with a dog, and even more so to find out by the face where it hurts, - then the doctor explained the essence of the experiment. Natalya, looking with horror at the animal without a muzzle, at first resisted:

I don't know their anatomy and what is their standard of health and what is not.

Nothing, - the doctor reassured, - the dog is also organic.

A minute later, Natalya pointed with her finger at her right hind paw, in which there was a skillfully implanted prosthesis.

But this did not calm the meticulous Japanese. They asked her to make a diagnosis... from a photograph. And they were shocked not even by her consent, but by the fact that she didn’t care which photo “shine through” - front, in profile, full-length or chest-deep.

But if a person is depicted on a photograph, for example, waist-deep, how can you see the disease below? - experts were perplexed.

Natasha didn't know. But on a small photo for a passport, she found liver cancer in a person.

Patients in overalls

This time, in order to finally verify the talent of the “X-ray” girl, Japanese scientists dressed the patients in black hoodies from head to toe, put masks on their eyes, and loud music was “charged” into their headphones. Moreover, Demkina sat with her back to them. And, despite these precautions, Natasha made the most accurate diagnosis for all patients! I “saw” not only a steel pin implanted in the knee joint during the operation, abnormal organs (four kidneys and a heart located on the right), but even “saw” an early - only 3 weeks - pregnancy! In addition to verbally describing the state of the patient's body, the "X-ray" girl also drew what she "saw". Then they compared her drawings with x-rays and extracts from the medical record - one to one!
