Something with the hatch did not grow together with the designers, it was overweight and somehow tired, and the station wagon looked fresh and cheerful against its background. The public immediately fell in love with the car, as it combined excellent roominess, good load capacity and comfort that the 2104, the only alternative, could not dream of.

The trunk in transport condition could hold 490 liters, and with the back of the rear seat folded down - 1420 liters. Compared to the four, the car had another advantage - a low floor. This made it possible to more rationally distribute the load throughout the cabin, and when the rear seat was removed, it was already a real van. And the loading height was much lower than that of the four, which made it easier to load and unload. In a word, for lack of a better one, it was the most comfortable and roomy station wagon in the country.
