Exercises on the racing track, problem setting. Exercises on the circuit: how to pass the driving test? Autodrom category A after September 1

Not all driving school cadets can pass the practical driving test flawlessly. Anxiety and lack of training can delay obtaining your coveted driver's license indefinitely. Only those who have thoroughly prepared for it can pass this test, and not only at the training ground. Let's take a closer look at the correct execution of exercises on the race track.

General provisions

As you know, a practical driving test follows after successfully passing the theoretical part. Currently, driving school cadets practice five well-known exercises at the training ground:

  • entering the box in reverse,
  • reversal,
  • snake,
  • overpass,
  • parallel parking.

To subsequently obtain a driver's license, you must correctly complete three exercises selected by the examiner. Most often, the “overpass” exercise is a mandatory part of the practical exam at the race track.

From September 1, 2016, it is planned to introduce several new exercises: a new snake, 90-degree turns, driving through a controlled intersection.

Driving errors are accompanied by the accrual of penalty points from three to five, which are awarded separately for each exercise performed. If the number of points is five or more, the examiner says “goodbye” to the cadet, making obtaining the coveted rights possible only after a successful re-examination.

During training, you must correctly understand and follow all the instructor’s instructions for practical driving. He has enormous experience in teaching driving, so it makes sense to record all his lessons - it will certainly come in handy.

Standard exercises

Exercises on the racetrack begin at the starting line. To do this, you need to carefully drive up to the lane, without disturbing it in any way, put the gearshift lever in the neutral position and raise the handbrake. Actions at the beginning of the movement are performed in the reverse order. When starting off, you need to shift the gearbox and only then release the handbrake.

The exercise is considered completed after the car is placed on the parking brake at the finish line. It should be remembered that the correctness of these simple operations is closely monitored by the examiner. It is advisable to immediately practice these actions until they become automatic, without thinking about it in each specific case.

Hill (overpass)

The notorious “overpass”, or slide exercise on a race track, is of utmost importance in mastering driving skills. The essence of the exercise is to practice the correct sequence of actions when starting to move up an inclined plane or, in other words, up a mountain.

The algorithm of actions is simple, but requires the ability to “feel the car” by the positions of the gas and clutch pedals. The correct steps must be taken according to the tachometer reading on the car's dashboard.

So, depress the clutch pedal and move the gearshift knob to the first position. Without releasing the clutch, with your right foot we begin to smoothly increase the engine speed with the gas pedal. When the tachometer needle approaches the three thousand rpm mark, slowly release the clutch. The revolutions will begin to fall and when the reading reaches a little more than one thousand, we fix the position of the clutch pedal at approximately the middle position. We lower the handbrake down and start moving, regulating the speed with the gas pedal.

Entrance to the box (garage)

The garage exercise at the race track involves practicing the skills of driving backwards in a limited space. The essence is the practical ability to use rear-view mirrors and the development of an eye with orientation skills. The sequence of actions is simple, but requires extreme concentration.

Having started moving, we stop when the right mirror or wheel reaches the right limiter of the garage. Then we stop and turn the steering wheel to the left as far as possible. We continue to move until the left box size limiter appears in the mirror. We stop the car, put the steering wheel in the “wheels straight” position.

We engage reverse gear and begin to approach the “gate” with the stern. When the rear right door reaches the limiter on the left side of the box, we stop. Turn the steering wheel to the right and continue driving slowly. Looking in the mirrors, we position the car parallel to the side “walls” of the garage and stop. We put the steering wheel in the “straight” position and drive into the box.

Snake

The snake exercise is not particularly difficult and usually does not cause any difficulties for future motorists. The essence of the task is that you need to drive along a winding path without hitting flagpoles or crossing the side limit lines. The easiest way to avoid misunderstandings when performing this task is to not use the gas pedal at all. That is, the result is a kind of movement of the car only on the clutch.

U-turn

It will be somewhat more difficult to correctly perform an exercise on a race track called a turn. In this case, you will need to turn one hundred and eighty degrees in cramped conditions. The algorithm of actions is simple, but requires constant monitoring of the dimensions of the car and the turning area.

After starting the movement, you need to press as tightly as possible to the right line, but without running into it. We stop approximately in the middle and turn the steering wheel to the right. We continue to move and approach the opposite boundary line. We stop the car and turn the gearshift lever into the reverse gear position. We move astern until we can turn the wheels normally to turn left. We continue straight towards the finish line and stop in time.

Parallel parking

Carrying out the training exercise, parking on a motorway, usually does not cause any particular difficulties for students. The actions are simple and are designed to develop proper parking skills in novice motorists. The essence of the exercise is that you need to drive a little forward and then reverse into an imaginary parking space in the form of a pocket.

The correct algorithm of actions consists of several stages. Having started moving forward and straight, we stop the car when the rear wheel reaches the pocket limiter on the right. After stopping, turn the steering wheel to the right and set the gearshift lever to the “reverse” position. We move back until the far corner flagpole appears in the mirror. We stop and fix the steering wheel in the “wheels straight” position. We continue to move backwards until the car wheel crosses the dotted line. After that, we level the car and drive into the pocket.

Of course, the correct execution of standard exercises on the race track does not come immediately. There are exceptions in the form of especially gifted individuals, but they are rare. Most often, these are people who had practical driving skills even before starting training at a driving school.

The majority of cadets should learn driving skills “the real way”, not limited to official training hours at the race track. Perhaps some will need additional classes to practice the automaticity of correct actions, while for others, video lessons, of which there are a great many on the Internet today, will be enough.

We must not forget that it is much better to practice your driving skills at a training ground and in someone else’s car than to take risks in a real traffic situation and in your own car.

The first stage of the practical exam for the right to drive vehicles (TC)
categories "B", "C" and "D" and subcategories "B1", "C1" and "D1",
valid from September 1, 2016

The time has come to figure out what tests await all those suffering to obtain a license for the categories listed above when passing the exam at the traffic police or traffic police (by the way, the second abbreviation has not yet fallen out of use among drivers).

Where possible, we replaced long official names with generally accepted names, or used abbreviations. That's why “The first stage of the practical exam for the right to drive vehicles of categories “B”, “C” and “D” and subcategories “B1”, “C1” and “D1”” further in the text we will simply call it:

STSI EXAM (GAI) at the SITE or AUTODROM

Let us remind you that the new rules for conducting and assessing the exam came into effect from September 1, 2016

We’ll start the conversation with an analysis of the general rules for conducting the first stage of the practical exam, then we’ll look in detail at the exercises for conducting the exam, then we’ll look at the mistakes, then we’ll say a few words and at the end we’ll answer

What do you need to know before the practical exam on the SITE?

The first stage of the practical exam of traffic police (traffic police) is carried out on an equipped racing track (including an automated one) or in a closed area. ? >>

At the stage of the practical exam “SITE” you must complete FIVE test exercises:

  • "Stopping and starting on an uphill slope";
  • Element of the exercise "Maneuvering in a confined space";*
  • Element of the exercise "Maneuvering in a confined space";
  • “Moving and maneuvering in reverse, entering the box in reverse”;
  • "Parking a vehicle and leaving a parking space."

On automated racing tracks, ONE more exercise is performed:

  • "Crossroads".

__________
* - Exercise "Maneuvering in a confined space" consists of 3 elements: "Turns 90 degrees", "Turn in a confined space" and "Snake". During the examination, TWO of the 3 elements included in this exercise are performed.

Usually, the entire set of examination exercises is taken at once. That is, once you get behind the wheel, you consistently perform the ENTIRE SET OF REQUIRED EXERCISES within the ALLOWED TIME. But it is also not prohibited to perform the exercises one by one, i.e. one exercise at a time. The second option is used if there are no conditions for sequential execution of exercises.

The beginning of the exercises is carried out at the command of the examiner.

Exercises can be performed in any order. More precisely, the sequence of their implementation depends on the traffic pattern on the autodrome (closed area) or is determined by the examiner during the traffic police exam.

The progress of the exercises and the ERRORS made are monitored by the examiner, which are then recorded in the TIME spent on performing a particular exercise and the TOTAL TIME for performing the exercises as a whole.

After completing the entire set of mandatory exercises on the SITE, the examiner issues a FINAL SCORE of the traffic police exam result on initial vehicle driving skills.

How is the exam scored? List of blunders

The traffic police exam is assessed according to the following system: positive assessment - “PASS”, negative – “FAIL”.

Those. After conducting a practical traffic police exam, the following score will appear in the corresponding column:

EXAM RESULT(passed/failed) Passed or Fail.

First, familiarize yourself with the main mistakes that should be avoided in every possible way during the traffic police exam.

TIME CONTROL!*

  • go< behind 30 seconds! The exam will be considered failed if the driver candidate does not begin performing the test exercise within 30 seconds after receiving the command (signal) to begin performing it.
  • Complete in 2 minutes! No more than 2 minutes are allotted to perform one exercise.

ERROR CONTROL!*

  • Get in in one try! Only one attempt is given to complete the exercise! It is not allowed to deviate from the given trajectory of movement and re-engage the reverse gear during the traffic police exam.
  • “Stall” ≤ 2 times! The exam will be considered failed if the engine stops 3 or more times while performing the ENTIRE SET OF exercises.
  • Do not go outside the CONTINUOUS! It is not allowed to travel beyond the boundaries of the exercises marked with solid marking lines during the traffic police exam.

__________
* - If you make at least one listed mistake or exceed the given time limit, the traffic police exam will not be passed. But the list of errors does not end there; the full list is given below.

Sequence of the traffic police exam “SITE” (sample scenario).

First, the examiner gathers the entire group of test takers and introduces them to the rules for passing the exam: the sequence of exercises, the time allotted, unacceptable mistakes, the peculiarities of using the controls of the examination vehicle and other nuances. Answers the questions.

After it’s your turn to take the exam, the examiner, upon presentation of your passport, makes sure that you are you and offers to take a seat behind the wheel. Next, the traffic police exam takes place according to the following scenario.

1. You take the driver's seat in the test car, adjust the rear-view mirrors, start the engine (if it has not been started), and fasten your seat belt. When ready to start, turn on the low beam headlights (if the headlights were not turned on, or, if there is an agreement, then do not turn on the headlights).

2. The examiner asks a question about your readiness and, having received an affirmative answer, gives the command to start the exam and immediately starts the stopwatch.

3. You start the movement and perform all the exercises sequentially. Although in some examination divisions of the traffic police it is first necessary to completely complete one examination exercise, then, having gone beyond the dotted line of its completion, wait for the next command of the examiner. Having received the command, perform the next exercise and so on.

Although in some examination departments of the traffic police, you first completely complete one exercise, then, having driven beyond the dotted line of its completion, you wait for the next command of the examiner. Then, after waiting for the command, perform the next exercise and so on.

Although in some examination departments of the traffic police you will perform one exercise, go beyond the dotted line at the end of the exercise and wait for the next command from the examiner. Then, after waiting for the command, perform the next exercise and so on.

4. After completing the entire set of exercises, you drive up to the agreed upon end point of the exam.

5. Get acquainted with the assessment of the exam and the mistakes made, marked by the inspector in the form, sign it and leave the car.

Either this, or something like this, will be the way the traffic police exam will be held, unless, of course, you make serious mistakes during the exercises and complete it ahead of schedule.

__________
* - When performing exercises sequentially, the start point of the first exercise is indicated by the “START” line, the end point of the last exercise is indicated by the “FINISH” or “STOP” line.
(According to Appendix No. 7 to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the provision of public services for conducting examinations for the right to drive vehicles and issuing driver’s licenses. Approved by Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia dated October 20, 2015 No. 995).

categories "B", "C" and "D" and subcategories "B1", "C1" and "D1"

Under the official name of each examination exercise in accordance with the Regulations, common unofficial names are given in CAPITAL letters.

Exercise “Stopping and starting on a hill”
or "Overpass"

The sequence of performing the exercise “Overpass”:

  1. Stop on the rise before the “STOP-1” line;
  2. Install “HANDBRAKE”;
  3. Start moving rolling back no more than 30 cm*, cross the “overpass”;
  4. Stay before line "STOP-2" at a distance no more than 1 meter;
  5. Set the “HANDBRAKE” (and “NEUTRAL”, on a manual transmission).

__________
* - The rollback value is fixed by an additional stand installed at a distance of 30 cm from the projection of the vehicle’s rear marker after stopping. The amount of rollback can also be recorded by an automated control system, if available.

Exercise “Maneuvering in confined spaces”

The Maneuvering in Confined Space exercise includes three elements:

  • "Rotates 90 degrees";
  • "Turning in a confined space";
  • "Snake".

In the traffic police exam, you are required to complete TWO of the three elements given!

Exactly what elements you will have to perform during the exam depend on the conditions for performing the exercises, the traffic organization scheme on the site or race track. In general, whichever TWO elements the examiner points to, those are the ones you will get. :)

Element of the exercise “90 degree turns”
or “RIGHT ANGLE TURN”

The sequence of performing the exercise “RIGHT ANGLE TURN”:

  1. Drive beyond the start line of the exercise;

Element of the exercise “Turn in a confined space”
or “THREE TURN”

The sequence of performing the exercise “TURN IN THREE STEPS”:

  1. Drive beyond the start line of the exercise;
  2. Perform a turn along a given trajectory using reverse gear (according to the diagram);
  3. Cross the end line of the exercise.

Element of the exercise “Snake”
or “NEW S-shaped SNAKE”

The sequence of performing the exercise “NEW SNAKE”:

  1. Drive beyond the start line of the exercise;
  2. Make alternate left and then right turns along the given trajectory;
  3. Cross the end line of the exercise.

Exercise “Moving and maneuvering in reverse, entering the box in reverse”
or “ENTRY TO BOXING OR GARAGE”*

The sequence of performing the exercise “ENTRY INTO BOXING”:

  1. Drive into the exercise area;
  2. Maneuvering in reverse, enter the pit. In this case, the vehicle must , (according to the diagram);
  3. Leave the box and cross the end line of the exercise.

__________
* - The box can be located on either the left or right side, depending on the traffic pattern on the site.

Exercise “Parking a vehicle and leaving a parking space, parking for loading (unloading) on a loading ramp (platform), stopping for safe boarding or disembarking of passengers”
or “PARALLEL PARKING IN REVERSE”

The sequence of performing the exercise “PARALLEL PARKING IN REVERSE”:

  1. Drive into the designated exercise area;
  2. Engage reverse gear and enter the parking space. In this case, the vehicle must completely cross the control line, (according to the diagram);
  3. Turn on “NEUTRAL” on the gearbox and “HANDBRAKE”;
  4. Leave the parking space and cross the end line of the exercise.

Exercise “Passing through a controlled intersection”
or "CROSSTALK"*

Sequence of performing the exercise “CROSSING”:

Drive through a controlled intersection, following the requirements of the traffic lights:

  • at a prohibitory traffic light, stop in front of the "STOP" line;
  • When the traffic light gives permission, drive through the intersection in the given direction.

__________
* - This exercise is performed ONLY on an AUTOMATED CIRCUIT. A T-junction may also be used to perform the exercise, depending on the traffic pattern used at the circuit.

ERRORS, after which the traffic police exam will NOT BE PASSED!

Remember the list of mistakes below and try not to make them under any circumstances.

The traffic police exam will be FAILED if:

  • Start performing the test exercise 30 seconds after receiving the command (signal) to start performing it.
  • GO beyond the boundaries of exercise areas marked solid marking lines.
  • RUN the wheel onto the solid marking line marking the boundaries of the exercises or KNOCK down the cone (stand) 3 times or more.
  • Deviate from the given trajectory of movement.
  • Engage reverse gear if this is not provided by the Regulations.
  • CROSS the STOP line even with the edge of the front bumper.
  • Do not drive completely beyond the control line after reversing.
  • “Stop the engine” (allow it to stop) 3 times or more.
  • On the inclined section of the “Overpass”, allow a rollback of more than 30 cm.
  • Stop more than 1 meter before the “STOP-2” marking line for the “Overpass” exercise.
  • Violate the rules for driving through an intersection (on an automated racing track)
  • Exceed the total time for performing test exercises.
  • Leave the exam or refuse to do the exercise.

We have analyzed in detail the mistakes that are prohibited to be made during the traffic police exam “PLATFORM”, but now, based on the table of errors in the Regulations, we will analyze what actions are allowed and will not affect the exam result, i.e. are not considered errors. But also do not forget that most of them are on the verge of what is permitted!

What is not considered an ERROR in the traffic police exam?

The “PASS” rating is given if the candidate driver:

  • Started performing the test exercise before 29 seconds had elapsed after receiving the command (signal) to begin performing it. (Based on clause 113.1 of the Regulations).
  • Drive your wheel onto the marking line marking the boundaries of the test exercise areas, or knock over the marking equipment ONE or TWO times. (Based on clause 113.2 of the Regulations).
  • Allowed the engine to stall ONE or TWO times. (Based on clause 113.7 of the Regulations).
  • When performing the exercise “Stopping and starting to move on an incline,” the vehicle rolled back on an incline by less than 0.3 m (Based on clause 113.13 of the Regulations).

According to the Regulations, a candidate driver who has not passed the traffic police exam at the “SITE” is explained the mistakes made, the procedure and timing for retaking the exam.

We hope this doesn't happen to you :)

Where is the practical exam score recorded?

As we have already mentioned, the progress of the entire exam is recorded in the examination sheet, where the examiner records the mistakes made, the time spent and the final result of the exam.

About the exam car

Of course, the examination car must be in full working order and comply Basic provisions for admitting a vehicle to operation, and is also equipped in accordance with Appendix No. 3 to the Rules for conducting examinations for the right to drive vehicles and issuing driver’s licenses.

To list briefly, the car must be equipped with duplicate pedals, an additional mirror for the examiner, “U” signs and all other required equipment, including audio and video recording equipment.

In practice, the examination car in which you will take the exam will most often be provided by a driving school assigned to a specific traffic police department, or it will be a car used by a traffic police department, which is less common.

Initially, be prepared for the fact that a car for the traffic police exam can be of any brand, but it must be of the category (subcategory) and with the type of transmission (manual or automatic transmission) for which you are taking the test.

Therefore, if at a driving school they told you that you will take the traffic police exam in the car you studied in, this is, to put it mildly, a publicity stunt, because cars, at a minimum, tend to break down and the instructor to get sick. Traffic police inspectors are simply too lazy to change from car to car during the traffic police exam. They will usually, at a minimum, have to rearrange and configure audio and video recording equipment.

According to the requirements of the Regulations, before the start of the exam, the vehicle engine must be warmed up and turned off, the gearshift lever must be in the neutral position (for automatic transmission in the “P” position), the parking brake - “HANDBRAKE” must be turned on, and audio and video recording equipment must be turned on.

Traffic police exam on paper and in life. Are there any differences?

Despite the clearly stated requirements, quite often you will find some discrepancies during the actual exam. Let's call them “local amendments”*.

The details of the exam are discussed by the examiner before the exam begins, so try to listen carefully to the introductory part, where the traffic police inspector introduces all those taking the exam to the basic requirements of the exam.

Quite often, when passing the “SITE”, inspectors give the go-ahead not to fasten your seat belt, not to turn on low beam headlights, and not to “turn off” the engine after the end of the exam.

For this reason, after the previous test taker has passed the exam, the vehicle’s engine may remain running! Therefore, before turning the ignition key of the vehicle, try to hear either the noise of the running engine, or lightly press the gas pedal to finally make sure that you need to start the car.

Don’t even try to start the running engine of your car!

Otherwise, it will turn out at least not beautifully; you came to get your license to drive a car and is trying to start the running engine.

__________
* - The described deviations from the accepted rules for passing the exam in the traffic police, of course, are not always accepted and not everywhere, but they still take place.

Note: This section discusses the examination requirements for obtaining the right to drive a vehicle of categories “B-C-D” and subcategories “B1-C1-D1”.

Good afternoon, dear reader.

This article will talk about the new system for assessing test results at the race track, which is being introduced.

Until September 1, 2016, when assessing the exam at the race track, a special one is used, which provides for a different number of penalty points for different errors. Starting September 1, a new scoring system will be applied, in which there are no penalty points at all. Let's take a closer look at it.

Features of the new racetrack exam scoring system

Let's look at the main features of the new racetrack exam assessment system:

1. Penalty points are not awarded for mistakes. In the event of a serious violation, the exam will be immediately graded “FAIL”. An average error can only be made once. Minor violations can be made no more than 2 times; after the third mistake, the candidate driver will also receive a “FAIL” rating.

2. General rating system for all exercises. Previously, each exercise had its own table of penalty points. At the same time, a driver candidate could receive 4 penalty points (out of five) on each exercise and still successfully pass the exam. The new assessment system means that if a driver candidate commits the same minor violation 3 times throughout the entire exam (in different exercises), he will receive a “FAIL” rating.

3. General list of violations for all exercises. Previously, penalty point tables were individual for each exam element. Starting September 1, 2016, there will be a single scoring system that will be applied to all exercises.

In general, the new assessment system places more serious demands on the level of training of a driver candidate.

List of mistakes at the race track

Small errors

In this article, by small mistakes we mean those mistakes that can be made twice during the exam. After the third mistake, the exam is graded “FAIL”.

113.2. Drive your wheel onto the marking line marking the boundaries of the test exercise areas, or knock over the marking equipment 3 or more times.

113.7. Allowed the engine to stop 3 or more times.

113.12. When passing the exam for the right to drive vehicles of categories "M", "A" or subcategory "A1" touched the surface of the platform with his foot(s) 3 or more times in cases where the touch is not provided for by the conditions of the exercise or did not give a turn signal 2 or more times in cases where the giving of these signals is provided for by the conditions of the exercise.

Minor errors include:

  • Hitting the marking line marking the boundary of the exercise or the marking equipment (cone). Please note that this paragraph deals with hitting the line, and not crossing it. If a car wheel crosses the marking line by even a millimeter, then the violation is serious. It will be discussed below.
  • Stopping the engine. If the car stalls three times, then the exam is failed.
  • When taking the exam on a motorcycle or moped, your foot is allowed to touch the surface of the platform.

Average errors

By average errors we mean errors that can be made only once during the exam at the race track:

113.12. When passing the exam for the right to drive vehicles of categories “M”, “A” or subcategory “A1”, touched the surface of the platform with his foot (feet) 3 or more times in cases where the touch was not provided for by the conditions of the exercise or did not give a turn signal 2 or more times in cases where the giving of these signals is provided for by the conditions of the exercise.

The only average mistake is missing a turn signal when taking the test on a motorcycle or moped.

Serious errors

By serious errors we mean errors that lead to a “FAIL” grade the first time:

113.1. Did not start performing the test exercise within 30 seconds after receiving the command (signal) to start performing it.

113.3. He drove (crossed the wheel) beyond the boundaries of the test exercise areas, marked by road marking lines 1.1 white or 1.4 1 yellow and marking cones (marking posts) 2.

9. When calculating the total time for performing all exercises, t is the time for performing each exercise (element of exercise), provided for the examination for the right to drive vehicles of categories “M”, “A” and subcategory “A1”, is taken equal to the standards t established for each exercise (element of the exercise); categories "B", "C" and "D" and subcategories "B1", "C1" and "D1" is taken equal to 2 minutes; categories “BE”, “CE” and “DE” and subcategories “C1E” and “D1E” is taken equal to 3 minutes, with the exception of exercise No. 9 “Coupling and uncoupling or uncoupling and re-coupling a trailer with a tractor”, the execution time of which is 10 minutes .

The traffic police officers are wrong; each element is given 2 minutes.

Good luck with exams!

I rented out a racing track and a garage. I drove into the “garage” in one go in reverse, but when leaving it I didn’t calculate the distance and in order not to hit the cone on the opposite side of the garage, I switched reverse gear, moved back, adjusted the trajectory and drove out. The inspector counted this as a deviation from the given trajectory, is this legal?

I rented out a racing track and a garage. I drove into the “garage” in one go in reverse, but visually the mirror crossed the line, the result did not pass, they wrote 113.3, although Jade did not drive the wheel onto the line, was the inspector right?

Mishka, in this case the traffic police officer is wrong. An error under paragraph 113.3 can only be when the wheel crosses the marking line. We are not talking about the dimensions of the vehicle (mirror) in this paragraph.

Good luck on the roads!

Is it possible to correct the position of the vehicle when performing the exercise “entering a box in reverse” by moving forward when you have already started moving in reverse and realized that you are hitting the markings. I pass the CE category.

Ainur, a detailed description of exercise 11 is given on.

In this exercise, reverse gear can only be engaged once. Otherwise, your car will deviate from the trajectory indicated in the exercise description. This is error 113.6 and leads to a FAIL result.

Good luck on the roads!

Hello! Tell me, when I took the exam at the race track, I didn’t get 20-30 cm from the stop line after sliding down the hill, the inspector immediately told me that I didn’t pass!!! I don't understand why? I didn't move her! And this is not a gross violation! Tell me, is he right?

Elizaveta18

Good afternoon

Failed the exam due to 113.3 between two exercises (overpass and garage). Please tell me, is this considered a failure if the mistake was not made during the exercise?

Elizabeth, Hello.

This is the first time I have heard such an interpretation of this point.

113.3. Left (crossed the wheel) beyond the boundaries of the plots test exercises, marked by road marking lines 1.1 white or 1.4 yellow and marking cones (marking posts).

According to the old rules for taking exams, you need to be able to do the following exercises on the racing track:

2. “Driving and maneuvering in reverse, entering the pit in reverse”
3. “Turning in a confined space”
4. “Snake”
5. “Parallel parking”

According to the old rules, during the exam you always did a “flyover” and 2 exercises to choose from from the 4 remaining ones.

According to the new regulations, which came into force on September 1, 2016, the set of exercises has been expanded. Now the list of exercises for categories B, C, D according to the new regulations is as follows:

1. “Stopping and starting on an uphill slope” (“overpass”)
2. “Maneuvering in a confined space”, the exercise consists of 3 elements “Turns by 90 degrees”, “Turning in a confined space” and “Snake” (2 out of 3 exercises are selected)
3. “Driving and maneuvering in reverse, entering the pit in reverse”
4. “Parking a vehicle and leaving a parking space, parking lot for loading (unloading) on a loading ramp (platform), stopping for safe boarding and disembarking of passengers”
5. “Passing through a controlled intersection” (for automated racing tracks)

That is, there are only 8 exercises; on a regular autodrome you need to do 5 exercises during the exam, on an automated one - 6 exercises.

According to the old rules of the traffic police exams, penalties are given for errors when performing an exercise. For example, when parallel parking, violations and points look like this:

– Knocked down elements of marking equipment or crossed the horizontal marking line of the site – 5 points

– Did not cross the dotted line (according to the projection of the vehicle’s side marker) – 5 points

– Failed to enter the parking zone when reverse gear was engaged once – 3 points

– Did not engage neutral gear after stopping with the engine running – 3 points

– Did not apply the parking brake after stopping in the parking zone – 3 points

– The engine stalled while performing the exercise – 1 point

According to the old rules, if during the execution you get 5 or more points, then the exercise is “not completed”. At the same time, to complete 3 exam exercises, you will have 4 attempts and have the opportunity to make a mistake once (fail one exercise).

Feedback on passing the exam at the race track according to the new regulations (from 09/01/2016), St. Petersburg, is published with the kind consent of the author, who wished to remain anonymous:

I rented out the site on September 2 under the new regulations. There are new markings on the site and another car is a Focus sedan, white (before that it was the same, but silver). At the bottom right of the head-up monitor is 8-9″ and the image from 4 cameras is displayed, in the glove compartment there is a button to start this system. Before getting into the car, the inspector began to tell me how and where to move, like you could stall and run over the line 3 times, but I ignored this information. It gives you the opportunity to prepare. ATTENTION TO THE HANDBRAKE – I drove the car with it until the first exercise :). No matter how you adjust the landing, you won’t be able to control the clutch with your foot on the heel; on this machine the stupa will hang in the air. Roll down the driver's window (I'll tell you why later). The inspector gives the command “start” - turns on the camera recording and starts the stopwatch on the mobile phone. You need to start within 30 seconds. otherwise it's over.

All 5 exercises must be completed in 10 minutes! Do it quickly and seemingly without stopping.

So let's go!

Parallel parking. The main innovation is the absence of sticks in the cones; the inspector confirmed there will be no more sticks. I learned using the stick system and I had to struggle to catch the cone in the area of the rear door on the right. Then the question arose about where to crawl on straight wheels, I decided to focus on the yellow line on the left. I watched the left rear wheel and how it went 10-15 cm beyond the line and began to level out. This wheel is clearly visible in the left mirror, but I still leaned out to look through the open window :) This exercise took me 4 minutes - that’s a long time.

Turns 90 degrees. I did the exercise for the first time. I looked at how to do it on the pddmaster website. There were no problems at all; you need to save time on this exercise and save time for the next one.

Turn in three steps. Same thing, nothing new. The only thing is that the platform is not level on the left and the car must be held so that it does not roll itself - and this is a waste of precious seconds.

Overpass. During the last exams I was deaf. This time I decided to use the technique from the pddmaster website. I revved up to 3000 rpm and released the clutch to 1100-1200, then smoothly released the handbrake and... the car flew onto the overpass like a rocket. A bullet to enter the box.

Check-in to boxing. There are no sticks in the cones. Corners – the boundaries of the box are rounded, not at right angles. There is very little room to turn to the right, and the car is large. I suffered, lost time, but did it. Then quickly drive to the left and beyond the finish stop line, where the inspector stops the stopwatch.

As a result, it took 12.5 minutes out of the allotted 10 minutes to complete all the exercises, so they told me: “goodbye.”

Conclusion.

And I liked it! You will need to read the text, this will help save a minute or two in order to know where or not to stop after completing the exercise or whether you can fly to the next one. I asked the inspector again every time, but this wastes precious time.

You need to take a couple of lessons at the race track (without an instructor) where the markings are exactly according to GOST for high-speed practice of the exercise and weaning from the stick system.
Now, if someone took a photo of this site from above using a quadcopter, it would be useful to many!

A selection of videos with exercises performed on the racing track:

Universal ways of performing exercises on the court are given, that according to the new regulations, they began to put short cones instead of tall flags, it has little effect, adjust the settings of the mirrors. There are several videos on parallel parking; driving into the box is fundamentally very close to parallel parking.

Exercises at the autodrome site according to the new regulations (from September 1, 2016), video from the traffic police of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region (

Only candidates who have successfully passed the theory are allowed to the site (autodrome). The site is accepted immediately after completion of the theoretical part of the exam. Test takers are told what time they need to arrive at the race track.
There's no need to linger. It is better to arrive early, especially if the exam is taken at a “foreign” site, and not at the race track of your driving school. This way you can assess the conditions of the site and, perhaps, drive through the new territory with an instructor before the traffic police inspector appears.

While studying at a driving school, you practiced five exercises: a U-turn, an overpass, a snake, entering a box (garage) in reverse and parallel parking. During the exam, you will need to complete three exercises out of five at the examiner’s choice (including the obligatory flyover). For each mistake a certain number of penalty points is awarded. Points are counted separately for each exercise. If you score 5 or more points in one exercise, you will be given a “failed” rating.

Comfortable clothes - “Yes”, sedatives - “No”

When going to the exam, choose comfortable clothes and shoes. Equip yourself so that nothing gets in your way. You should not take sedatives - this slows down the reaction. If you are afraid that strong anxiety will prevent you from demonstrating your skills during the exam, learn a few relaxation exercises in advance. And there is no need to worry. The circuit is considered an easy stage. Most candidates pass this part on the first try.

General instructions

All exercises begin at the starting line.
The car should be parked so that its front bumper does not cross the stop line. At the start, you need to shift the gear lever to neutral and raise the parking brake. Then you need to engage the gear, remove the car from the handbrake and start driving.
The exercises are completed at the stop line after the vehicle is set to the parking brake.

Overpass

Drive onto the overpass so that all the car’s wheels are on an inclined surface, but the car’s bumper does not cross the stop line. You stop. Raise the parking brake and place the lever in neutral. Then engage first gear, press the clutch and gas pedal.
When the tachometer needle reaches 3000 rpm, gradually begin to release the clutch pedal. The tachometer needle gradually drops. When it reaches 1200 rpm, you need to stop your foot by holding the pedal in the half-released position. Remove the car from the handbrake. After the car begins to move, smoothly release the pedal to the end.

Error Penalty points
1 5
2 Did not fix the vehicle in a stationary state on an inclined section 5
3 Allowed a rollback when starting on an inclined section of more than 0.3 meters 5
4 Crossed the "Stop" line according to the projection of the front clearance of the vehicle 5
5 3
6 Crossed the "Stop-l" line when stopping on an inclined section 3
7 3
8 Did not apply the parking brake after stopping before the Stop line 3

Entering the box in reverse

Take the car off the handbrake and start moving straight until the front wheel is level with the first corner pole of the “garage”. You stop. Turn the steering wheel all the way in the direction opposite to the garage. Move forward until the second nearest corner garage pole appears in the mirror. Return the steering wheel to the “straight” position.
Move in reverse until the second nearest pole is level with the rear door. You stop. Turn the steering wheel all the way towards the second pole. Continue moving backwards, monitoring the position of the car using the rearview mirrors. Stop when the vehicle is parallel to the side “walls” of the garage.
Set the steering wheel straight. Continue driving until the car enters the garage. When performing the exercise, make sure that no part of the vehicle, including side mirrors, protrudes beyond the box.

Error Penalty points
1 Knocked down elements of marking equipment or crossed the horizontal marking line of the site 5
2 5
3 3
4 Did not engage neutral gear after stopping with the engine running 3
5 3
6 The engine stalled while performing the exercise 1

U-turn

It is required to perform a 180 degree turn on a limited square with a length and width equal to two vehicle lengths. Start the exercise from the starting line. Remove the car from the handbrake, move the car to the right side of the square as close as possible to the middle pole and stop without crossing the solid line.
Turn the steering wheel to the left as far as possible. Move forward towards the middle pole on the opposite side. Then you stop and start reversing until there is enough space in front of you to move forward to the stop line.

Error Penalty points
1 Knocked down elements of marking equipment or crossed the horizontal marking line of the site 5
2 Crossed the "Stop" line (according to the projection of the front clearance of the vehicle) 5
3 Could not turn around when engaging reverse gear once 3
4 Did not engage neutral gear after stopping with the engine running 3
5 Did not apply the parking brake after stopping in a parking zone 3
6 The engine stalled while performing the exercise 1

Snake

It is necessary to go around all the poles without hitting them and without crossing the solid side lines. Remove the parking brake, engage the gear and start moving along the snake to the stop line. The best option is to release the clutch pedal, but do not press the gas pedal while driving. This will ensure a smooth ride and make the exercise easier.

Parallel parking

Move straight until the rear wheel of the car is level with the corner pole that limits the pocket. You stop. Turn the steering wheel all the way towards the pocket. Then move in reverse until the corner marker appears in the mirror in the far corner of the pocket. You stop again. Turn the steering wheel so that the vehicle moves straight.
Start reversing again until the car wheel crosses the broken line. Turn the steering wheel all the way in the direction opposite to the pocket. Continue to drive in reverse until the car is in your pocket. Stop driving when the vehicle is parallel to the imaginary direction of travel on the main road.

Error Penalty points
1 Knocked down elements of marking equipment or crossed the horizontal marking line of the site 5
2 Did not cross the dotted line (according to the projection of the side marker of the vehicle) 5
3 Could not enter the parking zone when reverse gear was engaged once 3
4 Did not engage neutral gear after stopping with the engine running 3
5 Did not apply the parking brake after stopping in a parking zone 3
6 The engine stalled while performing the exercise 1
