Ski track. Ski-roller track named after Larisa Lazutina Ski-roller track

Two years ago, in September 2013, the news appeared on our website that a ski and biathlon center with a ski-roller track would appear on the territory of the Planernaya OSSC, a well-known Moscow venue for cross-country skiing competitions. Then it was promised that the total length of roller ski loops would be 10 km, but it was hard to believe that at least something would be built at all. Nevertheless, the work was started, and already last year the first pictures of ascents and descents appeared in the photo galleries of our site, on which a rough layer of asphalt was laid. In winter, cross-country skiing competitions were held on Planernaya Street, and it was clear that construction work was in full swing.

And then, quite unexpectedly, the phone rang from the Vice President of the Federation biathlon of the city of Moscow, one of the initiators of the construction, the chief specialist of sports technology, the project manager of the ski-biathlon complex and the ski-roller track at the Planernaya OSSC Konstantin Anatolyevich Tsarev.

He offered to come to Planernaya and not only to see, but also to test the track on its own, on which fine asphalt has already been laid, and which is being prepared for opening in the very near future. And here is what Konstantin Anatolyevich told about the track:

Konstantin Tsarev: “We didn’t have the right to make a mistake, since we simply don’t have the money to redo something in the layout of the complex”

The very idea of creating a modern ski and biathlon complex that meets all the requirements in Moscow and in the Moscow suburbs has been discussed for a very long time. Having a developed network of biathlon sports schools for children and youth (1500 people) and a trend towards dynamic growth of those involved in pneumatic biathlon and an order of magnitude more involved in cross-country skiing and roller skiing, Moscow athletes do not officially have their own training and competitive base. A vivid example of this is the Moscow biathlon championship, which is now held in Smolensk. In different years, the Moscow Biathlon Federation made five proposals for the creation of a complex on the territory of Moscow. In the Moscow region, construction projects were considered in the city of Krasnogorsk and the village. Levkovo, but, unfortunately, none of them could be realized - the land is too expensive and there are technical difficulties with the organization of shooting safety. On Planernaya, all the key components successfully converged. The Olympic training and sports center "Planernaya" is located just 6 kilometers from Moscow in the City District of Khimki. Developed infrastructure, excellent track relief for both skiers and biathletes. For the first time in the history of biathlon, an unsupported 110-meter cable-stayed (on fixed supports on the right and left sides of the shooting range with stretched cables) bullet interception design was developed in accordance with the safety requirements of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, which makes it possible to freely view the target line for both spectators, athletes participating in competitions, and that important for television. The proximity of Sheremetyevo airport adds to the attractiveness of this center with the prospect of holding all-Russian and international competitions.

I want to express my deep gratitude for mutual understanding, a promising vision for the further development of the sports center of trade unions and financial support for the construction of the Moscow Federation of Trade Unions: to the chairman Chernov Sergey Ivanovich, the general director of the Planernaya UCTS Panova Eleonora Ashotovna and many people and organizations who assisted in the implementation of this project. For many years, Glidernaya was a ski mecca: national championships, All-Russian competitions, and such large mass races as the Moscow Ski Track, the Cross of the Nation, the marathon of skiing legends named after Kuzin and Baranova and many other competitions were held here. The construction of the first stage of the project of the ski-roller track will be a good gift for Planernaya, which celebrates its 80th anniversary on October 14, 2015.

I started working on project documentation three years ago. At this stage, an organizing committee was formed, which united the parties interested in the project. It included: MFP, FIPM. OUSC "Planernaya" Moscow Biathlon Federation, Moscow Ski Racing Federation, Moscow Region Biathlon Federation, Federal State Budgetary Institution "Federal Sports Reserve Training Center". This alliance confirmed the correctness of the chosen line, the intentions of the sports federations regarding the prospect of using the ski and biathlon complex to prepare the reserve after the completion of construction. Organization and conduct of training sessions and competitions. But, unfortunately, he did not guarantee financial investments in the project. The main financial burden fell on the shoulders of the Moscow Federation of Trade Unions and the Planernaya Educational Center. At the design stage, only the Moscow Biathlon Federation provided financial assistance.

In my sports career, I happened to work as a coach in the gold biathlon team of the USSR with an amazing coaching staff led by Privalov A.V., Tikhonov A.I. Jerusalem V.V. Khovantsev A.N., Ramensky G.M. With the first President of the Russian Biathlon Union E.P. Novikov. While working as a coach in the Russian national shooting team, I was lucky enough to work under the guidance of E.I. Polikanin, who for many decades headed the Russian Shooting Union and was one of the first st. coaches during the formation of the Soviet biathlon team.

Repeatedly traveling as part of national teams to the Olympic Games, World and European Championships, I had the opportunity not only to participate in sports forums, but also to get acquainted with the sports arenas of the world with my own eyes. At that time, in different countries and in many regions of Russia, new projects of biathlon centers and shooting ranges were being modernized and actively created. There was a unique opportunity to personally communicate with the technical delegates and experts of the world biathlon. This experience was very useful during the responsible decision-making on the creation of a project for a ski and biathlon complex on Planernaya.

During the search for a design organization in 2012, I was very lucky. I got to know Averintsev Fedor Borisovich, who worked as a chief engineer at the Stroyarchitectura company (designing ski slopes, general director Korsi V.E.). It turned out that in the past Fedor Borisovich worked for SOYUZSPORTPROEKT for many years. He participated in the work on the projects of many sports facilities, such as: a sports ski base in the Ukrainian Tysovets, ski jumps in Nizhny Tagil, Krasnaya Polyana in Sochi, etc. He accepted the offer for joint work in the design of a ski-biathlon complex and a ski-roller track enthusiasm and immediately became my comrade-in-arms in the embodiment of our common beautiful idea. The fusion of sports experience and a lot of sports design practice gave a positive result. Although the joint work on the project was not easy: the layout and binding of tracks and objects to the terrain and terrain, the presence of many sports at the base, especially the difficult coordination of ski and horse trails with the presence of special obstacles for horse jumps. I think that few people have ever designed such options. I remember that Alexander Ivanovich Tikhonov proposed to hold an equestrian biathlon. Now it is really possible to do it. We argued a lot, consulted, considered and studied projects of different complexes, looked for solutions.

Our sincere friends gave us great practical help: Master of Sports of the USSR in cross-country skiing Koshelev V.V., Master of Sports of International Class Virolainen R., Master of Sports Shchepetkin A., Honored Coach of Russia Reztsov L.V., Honored Coach of Russia Khovantsev A. .N., Technical Delegate IBU Janis Vodichar from Slovenia, specialist of the RRF Melikhov V.I. specialists in homolagation of FLGR ski slopes Arseniev A.I., Belomestnov, I.V., Paramonov B.V., a participant in the bullet interception project, Klimshin D., and many other specialists involved in the project.

We spent about a year on “nursing” the loops in order to understand how and where to place everything, taking into account the further phased continuation of construction. Perhaps you will need to add something and at the same time not put yourself in a dead end. Many decisions had to be developed during construction, making adjustments and sometimes changes to the project, which entailed heated debates at all levels. Initially, the project provided for a track length of 2.5 km, an asphalt width of 4.5 m. After that, the asphalt width was changed to 6 m, and in winter it will be 9 m - in accordance with the rules. Added additional cuts. And this, of course, is an additional cost. We realized that if you do not initially set the maximum width, then later it will be much more difficult to change something. The penalty loop has been moved. Working together in real-life construction environments, sometimes even the best design has to be adapted. Change of contractor, site foremen, equipment, staff turnover, often led to stubborn disputes. You just get used to people, they leave, and with new ones everything is all over again. They constantly proved to the builders of the contracting organization (who had no experience in sports construction) that it was necessary to do just that, gave arguments in the correctness of their decisions, repeatedly checked them, demanding implementation, and again convinced: “We are not building a country road for a cart, but a technically complex one, having a serious relief and a special profile of a ski-roller track, which should be safe on high-speed descents and turns. There were other demands that also led to debate and controversy. The truth did not go to extremes ... Eleonora Ashotovna - the director of the base - held us back. The slightest inaccuracy in the technical execution of construction work can lead to serious consequences. In addition to the technical safety measures provided for by the project, an additional set of organizational measures on the route has yet to be thought out so that there are no accidents.

A lot of preliminary work had to be done in the field of geodesy and geological surveys, as well as in drainage, already having information about the complexity of soils. At the same time, on the site under the shooting range, we practically discovered a treasure in the form of sand deposits, which saved us the cost of dumping the base of the roller ski! The glider is all in the hills, and the streams of water cut the roadsides and wash away the asphalt. Two downpours last summer completely cut the slope, roadsides and asphalt. I had to rebuild everything. So the drainage system had to be finalized; slopes and roadsides were additionally reinforced with a geogrid, storm drains were concreted, drainage ditches were dug and filled with coarse gravel. We tried to catch the water and take it away from the track. It seems to have worked out. Spring will show how everything was done correctly.

While working on the construction of the tracks and the underground passage from the stands to the shooting range, which runs under the starting field of the stadium (one of the elements necessary for holding international competitions), we dug up everything that was possible: slopes, track, shooting range. Many sections of the track were refilled, the track was raised by 4-5 meters, without the right to make a mistake, because. it is very expensive. Budget, you know. We do not have the same opportunities as in Khanty-Mansiysk or Tyumen. Moved off-road approximately 250,000 cubic meters of heavy clay soil, water, mud and sand. Sometimes, when I once again came to the construction site, sad thoughts came to me that we would never overcome such a scale of devastation created by ourselves. But we must pay tribute to the confidence of the builders, the director of the base and Ch. project engineer Averintsev F.B. in a positive outcome. Step by step, sometimes in a small number of equipment and people, we still moved towards the goal. It was even necessary to provide for a temporary change in the track in the winter to hold the many thousands of participants in the Moscow Ski Track and many other innovations, while at the same time closing the track with a rough layer of asphalt. Already in the spring, on the rough layer of asphalt concrete pavement, the track was tested on ski-rollers by the master of sports of international class in cross-country skiing Roman Virolainen and the master of sports Ilya Yambaev. On difficult and questionable sections, according to the results of the races, adjustments were made to the track profile. After the starting clearing, the athletes of the children's and youth sports school in biathlon No. 43 were already testing. Already in the autumn, master of sports in cross-country skiing Aleksey Shchepetkin thoroughly tested the track on the final surface.

We planned to do everything in stages. Having started laying the top finishing layer of the asphalt concrete pavement in the spring, we faced the difficulty of laying the mixture on the track, because. in the practice of road construction, there are no such large transverse slopes on bends. Asphalt in these places unevenly slid down and was torn by transverse cracks. We argued a lot in search of a solution. Either a low-quality mixture (I consulted with many specialists from the regions) is different everywhere, or the paver is like this, perhaps there are problems at the stage of preparing the compaction of the track base. The fear is connected with the fact that in winter melt water will penetrate into these small cracks-slits, freeze and burst the asphalt pavement. There are few such areas. Based on experience and having information about the construction of ski-roller tracks in other regions, such facilities always have some kind of flaws ("snowdrops") after the winter period and heavy snowmelt. Let's hope for a favorable outcome. By mutual agreement with the contractor, we signed a guarantee agreement for three years.

Counter slope and drainage system after the first descent from the ski base

There is still much to be done in the next stages of construction. The concept of a project for an artificial snowmaking system with water supply from the Skhodnya River has already been worked out. In several places under the route, passing pipes have already been laid for laying the pipeline to the hydrants. A lighting project was developed for the stadium and the roller ski track, taking into account the requirements of the IBU and television. Also needed is an information board, wax booths, gun rooms for teams, a frontal stand on a hillside, an office building with commentary booths, and parking lots. We even plan to create a museum of biathlon and cross-country skiing, as well as much more for a full-fledged modern and such a beautiful ski and biathlon complex. All these positions are thought out by us and gradually built into the project. At present, it is necessary to complete the construction of the finishing overpass and bullet interception at the shooting range. Road markings need to be applied. The ski track has not yet been put into operation. I hope that in early October we will open for training of skiers and biathletes. In any case, it is already autumn now, and there is an opportunity to continue work on the design of the above objects. And there is still an important test ahead - winter and spring.

The flat part of the route and the future finishing overpass. Ski-roller track passes right under it

During the construction of the complex, the "Walk of Fame for cross-country skiing and biathlon" was laid. The stars and legends of the ski and biathlon national teams of the USSR and Russia from different periods took part in the planting of blue fir trees. A large-scale layout of the complex was presented for general discussion. During the presentation of the project, President of the Russian Biathlon Union Alexander Mikhailovich Kravtsov and two-time Olympic champion Olga Zaitseva professionally assessed and spoke positively for its implementation.

Spruces on the Walk of Fame were planted by many famous athletes: Lyubov Baranova, Alexander Privalov, Nikolai Zimyatov and many, many others

Having visited Planernaya, SBR Executive Director Kostin S.V., head coach of the Russian national biathlon team Kasperovich A.V. and many other coaches of the Russian national team also positively assessed the project of creating a biathlon complex at the Planernaya OSSC with excellent terrain and good infrastructure and interested in the speedy progress of its implementation. At the same time, the prospect of using the base while the national teams were in Moscow, the possibility of organizing the storage of weapons in the armory at the base, various equipment and inventory, organizing short training sessions and meeting and sending teams from Sheremetyevo Airport, which is located 15 minutes from Planernaya . And the center of the Russian national teams "Novogorsk" is within walking distance. I hope for a positive search for ways to provide financial support for the promotion of the project by interested investors, organizations and heads of ministries and departments.

In the pearl necklace of Russian biathlon centers, the ski and biathlon complex on Planernaya, located almost within the boundaries of the golden-domed capital of our homeland Moscow, with a population of more than 15 million people and no less significant Moscow Region, commensurate in territory with many European countries, can take its rightful place.

Track testing.

The track was tested by me, Andrey Krasnov, and my wife Yulia, MSMK in cross-country skiing. We have quite a lot of experience in training on roller ski slopes, not only in Russia, but also in Europe. Among others, we trained on tracks in Golovino, Odintsovo, Ostrov, Rybinsk, Voronezh, Otepa, Vuokatti, Tysovets, Belmeken, Zakopane, Val di Dentro, Oberwiesenthal and many others. I took ElpexTeam 610 classic rollerskis with 3 wheels for training, and Yulia took Marwe skating skates with 6 wheels.

The length of the route is 2.5 km. On the track there are two serious ascents to the base and one gentle one to the shooting range, which is located in a ravine to the right of the old starting meadow. In that ravine, along which the first ascent of the Kuzin-Baranova marathon has taken place in recent years. I went through two steep ascents in alternating motion, one of them - the first on the circle, if you count from the shooting range - is very long, working. There are simply no analogues to this rise in the Moscow region. You can compare this climb with the “training” climb in Ostrov or the big climb in Demino, but both of them are inferior to him in length. The slopes are safe and well visible. The turns on the descents are smooth, which allows you to go through them, almost without feeling the centrifugal force. All turns and I and Yulia passed along the inner edge without feeling any problems.

On the track there is a cut with an equipped counter-slope immediately after the shooting range. Children can ride on it - the length of the circle will then be 1 km. Thus, two steep ascents and two descents are excluded from the route. At the very same shooting range, at its far end, there is a short, five meters, but rather steep climb. There is another cut: right after a big climb from the shooting range to the ski base. The quality of the asphalt is good, sticks stick into it well, and it is quite dense. The only thing that confused me was the microcracks on the surface of the track. At the moment they do not interfere with skiing at all, but it is quite possible that in the future they may grow and the track will be spoiled. However, Konstantin Anatolyevich assured that he was aware of this problem and had already written comments to the contractor, with which he agreed.

In general, the impressions from skiing and from the complex are the most positive. In the immediate vicinity of Moscow, another ski-roller track appears, on which, unlike Odintsovo, half of the population of the millionth city will not walk. The place is quiet, calm and, most importantly, prayed for by skiers. We look forward to the opening, which will take place in the very near future, which will be announced separately on our website.

Ski-roller track them. Larisa Lazutina in Odintsovo appeared in 2002 on the territory of the Northern Bypass. It was named in honor of a native of this town near Moscow - a world-famous skier, multiple world and Olympic champion, who initiated the construction of this facility.

Track description

The track is part of a sports park and is located in a very picturesque corner of the Podushkinsky forest. Coniferous trees predominate in its starting area, then give way to mixed species. Inside the ski-roller circle, six and a half kilometers long, is the Saminka River. The relief throughout the route is not uniform. There are more or less flat areas, but there are traction with various slopes, steep ascents and descents with turns.

The track is perfect for cycling, and in the cold season it turns into a ski track. Hikers also come here to enjoy nature, clean air and pleasant company. The territory on which the object is located belongs to the burial mound complex with Vyatichi burials of the 11th-13th century, which attracts people interested in history here.

The infrastructure of the route is quite developed. There is artificial lighting, there is a special marking. At the start there are houses with changing rooms. Here you can also rent equipment and get other services (food, drinks, etc.). Free parking is provided for customers. The place is very cozy, clean, civilized. The noise from the bypass road does not reach here.

Famous athletes of the country improve their skills on the track, but it is not officially considered a training base. Anyone can ride a bike or ski here. Various competitions are regularly held on the territory of the facility.

Ski-roller track (Odintsovo): how to get there?

You can get to the “Lazutinskaya” (as it is popularly called) route from Moscow by car along the Minsk highway, turning at Odintsovo onto Mozhaisk highway, and then, already in the city, onto Krasnogorskoye. On the latter, you will have to drive only 2.5 km.

Another option is to take a train from the capital to Odintsovo, where you can take minibus No. 46 (get off at the Upper Otradnoye stop) or travel 3 km on your own (by bicycle).

Have a nice holiday!

The Lazutinskaya ski track, which runs near the Northern bypass of Odintsovo, is one of the best and most famous in the Moscow region. In the media, the track is usually called the "Larisa Lazutina Ski Roller Track". In honor of one of the most famous skiers on Earth, a five-time Olympic champion, an eleven-time world champion and a resident of the city of Odintsovo.

The route passes through the territory of the Podushkinsky forest. Opened in September 2002. In summer, rollerblading, roller skiing and cycling are enjoyed here. And in winter - only skis and nothing but skis.

Currently, the ski track is being actively reconstructed. Now the official name of the track is the Sports Park named after the Hero of Russia Larisa Lazutina.

traditional competitions.

March. At the end of the ski season on the track in Odintsovo there is a ski race in classic style for the prizes of Leonid Voropaev (Honored Coach of Russia). Kids run a distance of 800 meters, children - 3 kilometers, veterans - six and all the rest 12 kilometers.

December. Every year on December 31, the Manzhosovskaya race takes place on Lazutinka. The event is named after Nikolai Timofeevich Manzhosov, USSR champion in cross-country skiing and marathon running. On December 31, 1968, Nikolai Manzhosov invited his friends and students to celebrate New Year's Eve with a ski race. At the finish line, each participant chose his own prize on the gift table. The race distances are 600 meters for children, 2 and 6 km for boys, girls and pensioners. The rest of the women run a distance of 12 kilometers, and men - 18.

How to get there? Twelve kilometers from Moscow Ring Road along Mozhayskoe highway. You can also get there by the toll road to the Odintsovo detour, but do not forget to get off it in advance. Be careful, some navigators show the wrong way!

Parking. Parking at the highway is free and quite large. But the track is very popular and you will have to circle around to find a free place. Coordinates: 55.6904N - 37.2505E

The launch pad on Lazutinka is very large. Not surprisingly, quite large competitions are held here from time to time.

Infrastructure

Everything is fine with the infrastructure on Lazutinka. In principle, on weekends you can come here without skis and buy everything you need on the spot. Prices are about the same as in "Sportmaster". There is a ski rental and ski service. There are biotoilets.

Ski service is available at the orange tents on weekends. But many use them simply as a place to go to warm up. Fans of combining healthy and tasty can warm up with mulled wine for 80 rubles. Those who drive are offered a non-alcoholic version for 50 rubles. Pies in a stall cost from 50 to 80 rubles.

track

The best athletes of the country train on the Lazutinskaya ski track. But there is a place for beginners, the main thing is not to complex and not interfere. The track is prepared for both skating and classic skiing.

The route is marked. There are two circles - 3 and 6 kilometers.

The main plus of the route, in addition to good preparation, is that it runs over rough terrain. Pretty steep slides allow you to roll down with a breeze and not get bored on dull gentle slopes. Although they require good physical preparation.

When you ride, pay attention to this sign. Lazutinka passes through the territory of one of the largest barrow complexes in the Moscow region. Here are the graves of the Vyatichi, dating back to the XI-XIII centuries. Campfires and picnics are prohibited on the territory of the complex.

The track passes through a mixed spruce-deciduous forest. Noise from the toll road is almost inaudible. But there are quite a lot of skiers on the weekends. It will be quite difficult to feel alone.

Ski fans always take advantage of the moment to get on the track and take a walk, but not all regions can boast of a year-round ski season. What to do? Suffer in the off-season in the snow every year? Inventive athletes found a way out. Skis on wheels - roller skis - are becoming more and more popular.

What are roller skis

Roller skis, on the one hand, can be compared with skis: they are similar in shape and have a boot mount. On the other hand, a board on wheels resembles a scooter. But compare with nothing, and this sports equipment is becoming increasingly popular, and for a long time not only among

Of course, skaters do not have to wait for winter and snow, which in many regions does not exist at all. We need smooth tracks with a hard surface, but this is already easier. By the way, the designers came up with the idea of making inflatable wheels for miracle skis, you can even ride them on dirt paths and trails without looking for a special ski-roller track. Skis with rubber tires are more stable and are especially recommended for beginners. Athletes, on the other hand, use rollers on hard wheels during training and competitions.

Ski track

What it is? What is a ski-roller track, it is easy to imagine, knowing the features of the device of the rollers. This is an asphalted and, as a rule, looped path with a perfectly even surface. Such a coating is necessary, because the ski wheels, in contact with potholes and cracks in the pavement, begin to vibrate very strongly, which leads to inconvenience to the athlete and affects the life of the equipment, unless you have a model with inflatable wheels.

These paths are often winding, going either uphill or downhill. This makes it possible to increase the effectiveness of the training process for athletes, and for amateurs, such a ski-roller track will add variety to the walk.

With the growing popularity of rollerskis, there was a need for specially equipped tracks. And every year there are more and more of them: it is dangerous to ride on roads, even on country roads, while on pedestrian paths, athletes make it difficult to move freely.

New ski-roller tracks appear in parks, at recreation centers, at ski bases as training grounds during the snowless period. It is remarkable that they began to arrange them not only in large cities, but also in small provincial ones, which makes sports even more accessible.

Who rides

This question may seem irrelevant, but it's actually relevant. The ski-roller track is attractive not only for skiers. Roller skaters, cyclists, runners and just pedestrians come here for training and walks. This is the kind of community here.

There is nothing strange in this for Russia. They also gather on specialized bike paths and somehow divide the space. But in Germany, for example, they try to protect ski-roller tracks from strangers.

Tracks of Russia

In fact, there are still few specially equipped tracks, most of them perform their functions part-time. It is possible to single out the ski-roller tracks in Russia that are most appropriate for their purpose.

Let's get acquainted with the main ones.

The ski-roller track of Saransk opened in 2012. Its length is not large - only one and a half kilometers, but the terrain delights users. The elevation difference is 30 meters, so there are enough descents and ascents. The track is four meters wide. The length of the track is increased by additional loops up to four kilometers.

A ski-roller track with a length of six and a half kilometers in "Malinovka" - the center of the ski and in the Arkhangelsk region. The height difference here is 54 meters, and the width is six meters.

In Pestovo, Novgorod region, the track is 3 km 200 m long. In Voronezh, in the Khokhloma district, there is a three-kilometer track for beginners and more than five kilometers for experienced athletes.

One of the best tracks in Russia is located in the Pskov region near the city of Ostrov. There the big circle is equal to 5 km.

Not far from Ryazan there is a ski-roller track in the village of Varskie, in the Smolensk region in the village of Przhevalsky in the Demidov district at the biathlon complex, in Novomoskovsk in the Tula region, in Belgorod, in Kostroma, in Kaluga, in Demino in the Yaroslavl region, in Toskovo in the Leningrad region, in Karpovo in the Vologda region . In the Tver region in the Zapadnodvinsk district in Mukhino, in Toropets, in Likhoslavl, in Chupriyanovka of the Kalinin district.

Roller skiing tracks of the Moscow region

Roller skiing tracks in Moscow and the Moscow region outnumber, perhaps, all Russian ones. There are more than a dozen such places in Moscow alone. The most famous walking paths for rollerbladers:

  • Poklonka with a length of 5.5 km;
  • Krylatskoye - about 4.5 km;
  • park "Museon" - path 2 km;
  • "Sokolniki" - 8.5 km;
  • two three-kilometer paths of Filevsky Park;
  • Losiny Ostrov - 20 km path;
  • in Kuzminsky park - more than 5 km;
  • on the embankment of the Neskuchny Garden and Sparrow Hills - 14 km.

True, the above places for the most part are non-specialized paths, namely the very friendly ones. Everyone rides here: roller skaters, cyclists, lovers of scooters, skateboards.

In outskirts of Moscow

The Golovino complex with a five-kilometer highway is located 65 km from the Moscow Ring Road along Novorizhskoye or outside the village of Rumyantsevo. The route consists of three asphalt loops - two of 2 km each and one of 1 km. This place looks nice - a ski-roller track. You can take gorgeous photos there, and even the nature is marvelous.

In Dmitrov, there is an illuminated trail for beginners, 2 km 300 m long.

The track on Planernaya, which has recently begun to operate, has been in ideas and ideas for a long time. Many believed that she would remain only in the plans. But it has been completed and opened at the biathlon club.

Odintsovo highway

The most popular is the Lazutinskaya (Lazutinka) ski-roller track located in the Podushkinsky forest park. Odintsovo is a city where they remember that the famous skier Larisa Lazutina was the initiator of its construction. So this name stuck to the track. And officially, this track is located in the Sports Park of the same name. The track was opened in 2002, it immediately attracted everyone's attention.

There used to be an ordinary ski track here, which turned into an asphalt track and could now be used for roller ski training in the summer. The length of the route is about six kilometers. There are many ups and downs of varying difficulty. All in all, the place is perfect. The only thing missing was good lighting, which they also promised to restore. Then they decided to improve the track, reconstructed it, turned it into a European-style ski center. Cafes, locker rooms for athletes, toilets, and a recreation area were built here. The car park was expanded and the access roads were repaired.

Lazutinka regularly hosts cross-country skiing competitions in winter and roller skiing competitions in summer, many of which are traditional.

True, now there is another problem for athletes. The track has turned into a mass place for walks of local residents with children, strollers, and dogs. Unfortunately, most of them do not understand that skiers reach speeds of up to 50 km/h during training, and walking here is not at all safe. As a result, training cannot be carried out at the proper level, because athletes are forced to avoid collisions with walkers all the time.

This is how the population currently exists with the hope that they have a great place for walking, and athletes with the hope that the issue of full-fledged training without interference will somehow be resolved.

How to get there

From Moscow to Odintsovo can be reached by electric trains from the Kursk or Belorussky railway stations, as well as by buses from the Park Pobedy metro station (No. 339) and from the Yugo-Zapadnaya metro station (No. 461). Then by regular bus going to Vlasikha. You need to get off at the stop "Upper Otradnoe".

Snow in Moscow fell surprisingly early this year. But let the snow close the cycling season ahead of schedule, but open the ski season!

Like it or not, skiing in our country is one of the most popular cyclic sports. And this is the best alternative to triathlon training in the winter - no other sport can offer such functional and complex work for the whole body.

The main question for those who are just getting acquainted with skiing is where to ride and what to wear on yourself and on your feet. Therefore, we are launching a winter cycle of materials about skiing: where, how, in what and how much.

Today we will tell you about the main places for cross-country skiing in Moscow and the Moscow suburbs. In general, you can just go skiing in virtually every park in Moscow, but there are not so many tracks suitable for high-quality training. Let's consider the main ones.

**Routes of the nearest suburbs near Moscow Ring Road

Odintsovo** The track is located not far from Moscow, runs along the asphalt surface of the ski-roller track, that is, the surface is flat and without hillocks. In mid-November, the condition of the track is good. There are changing rooms in the stadium building. The route is illuminated at night.

Address: 3rd km. Krasnogorsk highway. Distances: 3, 6, 10 km - roller circles, winter in the process of preparation. Width: from 4 m. Height difference: ~50 m. Total height difference: ~165 m. Movement direction: counterclockwise.

Meshchersky park A new place for skiing, appeared a few years ago. However, it immediately became one of the best in the Moscow region. The reasons are simple - developed infrastructure, support by the administration of any sports activities and the right equipment that serves the tracks. The longest circle has a length of more than 5 kilometers. There are circles 4 and 1.3 km. For tourist routes, there are two tracks with a length of 1.8 and 2.6 km. The width of the tracks varies from 3 to 6 meters. On the sides there is a place for adherents of the classical style, in the middle - for the ridge. To prepare the tracks, a special snow compactor Husky Rat-rak is used. There are lighting for skiing at night and locker rooms. Address: Moscow region, nearest railway station "Skolkovo". The exact location is on the link.

Krasnogorsk

The track in Krasnogorsk is one of the oldest in the Moscow region. Here, for many years, selections for the World Championships and the Olympics were held. Unfortunately, now the track is not being prepared at the top level, but it’s good for an amateur here. By the way, 12-time world champion Ivan Utrobin rolls her out with snowstorms. By mid-November, the condition of the loops in the forest is satisfactory, there are mounds and branches, leaves. There is no classic track. The lap in and around the stadium is in better condition than the laps in the woods, but decent "Olympic terrain" isn't for every beginner. Unfortunately, there are no ski tracks here either. Therefore, you can only skate. There are paid locker rooms that usually open with the official start of the season, not in November. On the 1.5 kilometer circle, lighting is on until about 19:00. Address: Krasnogorsk, Zorkiy ski stadium, Rechnaya street, 37.

Bitza

A favorite place for Moscow skiers, including because of the location - the track is the most "Moscow". In recent years, she has been threatened by a large construction site, but activists are collecting petitions, which we are talking about. While in good condition circle 2.3 kilometers, which is located outside the Moscow Ring Road. Address: Moscow, YuZAO, 36th km of the Moscow Ring Road.

Romashkovo

A well-known place for skiing right next to the Moscow Ring Road. The abundance of circles (from 2 kilometers to 17) and their great length, interesting and moderate relief. The entrance to the highway from the outer Moscow Ring Road is still closed due to construction. Therefore, you can get from the stadium "Medic" or from the village of Romashkovo. The stadium has warm changing rooms. There is no lighting on the track. Address: Romashkovsky forest, 58 km of the Moscow Ring Road.

The blockages on the track have been removed, now the surface is leveled with the help of snowstorms and harrows. Photo from November 14th.

Glider The old and well-known track, which hosts starts at the level of the Moscow championship. There is a forest part of the route, flat and field - with an abundance of heavy climbs. At the moment (mid-November), the track is being prepared rather conditionally, although you can ride. There is a dressing room. Address: Moscow region, Khimki district, Olympic training and sports center "Planernaya".

**Places for skiing inside Moscow

**These tracks are more suitable for amateurs, have shorter laps and easier terrain. And conveniently located for those who live within Moscow.

Tushinskaya route in the Aleshkinsky forest

The training place of the children's sports school, here Alexander Legkov began his skiing journey. There are circles from 1.5 kilometers to 7.5 kilometers. The track is prepared by a retrack in winter. In the dark, lighting works on a circle of 1.5 kilometers. Good place for training in the city. Address: check-in from Vilis Latsis street, map.

**Krylatskoye

**Although the place is a Mecca of cycling, there is a good infrastructure for winter sports. In particular, the ski slope and loops on the bike trail. There are no lights or dressing rooms.

Izmailovsky park

There are places for walking in the park part, and for training in the forest. In the first option, there are mostly plains for skiing, in the second, there are pieces with a moderate relief. They are located in the forest part of the park. Check-in from the side of the stadium "Avangard". There are no lights or dressing rooms.

Sokolniki

Here the situation is approximately the same as with Izmailovsky Park. There are ski tracks for outdoor activities in more crowded places and more serious tracks in the depths of the park, near the cascade of Putyaevsky Ponds. This year, Moscow Mayor S. Sobyanin promised to make the track the best for skiing within Moscow. Let's hope! In the meantime, they have made the so-called "all-weather ski track" by the park itself. Its length is almost two kilometers. In the evening, the track is illuminated by lanterns. In order for the snow cover to remain in a normal state, the path was fenced off on both sides with a mesh fence. Ski track in the park Pokrovskoe-Streshnevo Another place on the Muscovite's ski map is the park around the old Pokrovskoye-Streshnevo estate and surrounding areas. They say this year they started replacing heating pipes and dug up part of the route, cutting off a couple of loops. But for people who live nearby, the track is still convenient.

Big Lawn of Moscow State University One five-kilometer circle near the main building of Moscow State University. When a lot of snow is prepared by a retractor, the height difference here is used to the maximum, albeit a small one - there is a small drag along Kosygin Street on the track.

Moose Island A giant forest park within the city and even more gigantic outside the Moscow Ring Road. Nothing is specially prepared, but hundreds of skiers walk here and therefore the ski track is quite comfortable and long. There are really remote places, you can see moose and other living creatures. You can drive in from the Golyanovo district, from the Yaroslavl highway and through the Sokolniki park.
