IZH-27 is a Soviet double-barreled hunting rifle designed for commercial and amateur hunting. IZH-27 was developed under the leadership of A. A. Klimov and has been mass-produced since 1973.
Starting with the development of two models - a single-barreled gun of the Kazansky (ZK) system and a double-barreled IZH-49, Izhmekh specialists created a full range of hunting weapons. Products at that time were marked with the designation "IZH" in combination with numbers that indicated the year of manufacture, for example, IZH-49, IZH-54, IZH-56, etc. Subsequently, in the 60s, the numbers in the marking of guns began to mean the project number, for example, IZH-18, IZH-25, IZH-27.
With the wider distribution of weapons in the foreign market, it became necessary to abandon the designation "IZH". This is due to the fact that the abbreviation "IZH" is inconvenient to transcribe. It was necessary to choose a designation containing the semantic content of product labeling, while the designation should have the same graphics and sound in Cyrillic and Latin.
In the 90s, when developing new weapon models, they decided to label products with the abbreviation MP in Latin, which means Mehanical Plant. Since that time, this marking has been assigned to all new weapons developments of Izhmekh. Until 2008, the previous models of weapons remained with the old designation "IZH". In order to establish a single model in the designations of weapons produced by the enterprise, the plant replaced the designation "IZH" with the marking MR, i.e., for example, on guns instead of IZH-18, IZH-27, IZH-43 there will be MP-18, MR -27, MP-43, etc. The digital designation on models produced before 1996 remained the same, and since September 2008, the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant switched to marking weapons with the designation "MR".

In the 60s of the last century, the gunsmiths of the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant released a new model of the IZH-59 gun called Sputnik (you can read about other hunting rifles of the Izhevsk Arms Plant). This gun really could become an indispensable companion of a hunter-athlete, as it had excellent combat, both in terms of sharpness and accuracy. And, vertically arranged trunks and an increased aiming bar created exceptional convenience for aiming when firing quickly at moving targets. However, along with its advantages, the gun had a significant drawback, which was especially noticeable when shooting at a hunting shooting range. True, this drawback could be easily eliminated by using a small addition to the factory trigger, and it is this device that we want to tell you today ...
The idea to create a double-barreled bullet shotgun, which would have twin vertical barrels, belongs to such engineers as V.A. Kazansky and A.Ya. Zelenkov. Let's start with the history of creation hunting rifle IZH-5. In 1884-1885, the Izhevsk plant began to manufacture hunting rifles. It all started with the organization of a special exemplary hunting workshop, for which the best gunsmiths were recruited. The purchase of Belgian and other samples of hunting rifles served as the foundation for the formation of the factory and the beginning of the production of hunting rifles. The guns of the Izhevsk plant immediately became popular among hunters. And in 1885, the plant was allowed to accept, in private, orders for the manufacture of various types of hunting weapons. At first there was a small-scale production of hunting rifles. So, for example, the price list of the factory in 1902 shows that at that time the factory produced guns of various models and calibers, single-barreled and double-barreled shotguns and rifled guns. Special orders were received for valuable guns, such as, for example, guns designed to reward the commanding staff of the army. Such guns were made with a notch of silver and gold, with engraving. During the years of the formation of Soviet power, the gunsmiths of the Izhevsk plant in most cases produced hunting rifles, which were converted from rifles. During the indicated period of time, hunters were supplied mainly with guns of caliber 28 and 32. This is due to the fact that it was impossible to make guns of a different caliber from the foreign rifles that came to the Izhevsk plant for processing.
In this article, today we will focus on the wonderful, in my opinion, IZH-57 hunting rifle, which, despite its rather old age, is still very popular with hunters. History of origin. Back in 1957, under the leadership and with the personal participation of L.I. Pugachev, the development team of the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant upgraded the hunting rifle, which was named IZH-57. This model was produced at that time in a small circulation - only 20.5 thousand guns, but the improvements made in this gun influenced the further development of hunting rifle designs in the USSR.

Okhotniche 16, developed on the basis of the IZH 12 gun, is the result of the work of designer A.A. Klimov on the modification of IZH 59. In serial production, the IZH 16 model entered in 1962 and ten years later, in 1972, was discontinued. Now it is made to order. This double-barreled shotgun has a vertical arrangement of 16-gauge barrels, which is used both for sports shooting and for various types of hunting. Detachable barrels with a length of 720 mm have choke and choke. The inner surface of the barrels and the chamber channel is coated with chrome. The trigger mechanism located in the tail of the chamber, between the trigger mask, the chamber shank and the connecting tee, is called a frame. It has internal rebound hammers as well as two regular action triggers. Mechanism hunting rifle IZH 16 located partly in the box itself, and partly on a base attached to the box. Also, the IZH-94 hunting rifle has a dovetail mount designed for mounting optical sighting devices.
