Repair steering rack Nissan Teana J32. Self-diagnosis Nissan Teana J32

Sedan Nissan Teana (J31) has become another business-class car in the model range of the Japanese manufacturer. In 2003, she replaced the Maxima (Cefiro) model. In South Korea, it is sold under the name Samsung SM5. In 2006, Teana was restyled, the changes were only cosmetic in nature (they affected the bumpers, false radiator grille, front and rear optics, interior design).

And at the Beijing Motor Show in 2008, the 2nd generation Nissan Teana debuted in the back of the J32. The sedan retained the proportions of its predecessor, but began to look more solid and modern. In the design of the exterior, more smooth lines appeared, which were also transferred to the interior.

In general, the Nissan Teana (J32), whose dimensions are 4,850 x 1,795 x 1,495 / 1,515 mm, looks expensive, and from some angles and individual details it can resemble premium models from Mercedes, Lexus and, of course, Infiniti. Large faceted rear lights and headlights, a large chrome grille, shiny moldings around the perimeter of the body - everything has an impressive look and makes the car recognizable.

In the cabin of the Nissan Teana there are 2 massive seats, massive central pillars, a wide tunnel between the driver and passenger. Fabric, wood trim, leather, even plastic - everything looks appropriate, solid, expensive and modern. The transparent roof adds more headroom. The controls for auxiliary systems on Tiana are not for everyone: someone likes to press buttons, and someone likes to turn the “wheels”.

In the Russian market, the Nissan Teana J32 sedan is available with one of three engines. The base is an in-line four-cylinder 16-valve power unit with a working volume of 2.5 liters. The maximum power of this engine on an all-wheel drive modification is reached at 5,600 rpm. and is 123 kW (167 hp), a maximum torque of 240 Nm is available at 4,000 rpm.

The second engine for the Nissan Teana 2 has a similar displacement (2.5 liters), but a V-shaped layout and six cylinders. Its maximum output is 134 kW (182 hp) at 6,000 rpm and peak torque is 228 Nm at 4,400 rpm. Both of these engines can consume gasoline with an octane rating of at least 92.

The flagship in the powertrain lineup for the Nissan Teana (J32) is a 3.5-liter V6 with four valves per cylinder. Engine performance: maximum power - 183 kW (249 hp) at 6,000 rpm, maximum torque - 326 Nm at 4,400 rpm.

The engine must be operated on AI-95 gasoline and higher. All three units are equipped with sequential multipoint electronic injection. The only type of transmission available for all modifications is the Xtronic CVT stepless variator.

You can buy Nissan Teana 2 (J32) in one of five available trim levels: Elegance, Elegance Plus, Luxury, Luxury Plus and Premium. Vehicles with a 3.5 liter engine are only offered in the three higher versions.

The standard equipment of the Nissan Tiana includes front and side airbags for the driver and passenger, ABS, EBD, Brake Assist (emergency braking assistance system) audio system, dual-zone climate control, full power accessories, cruise control, heated front seats, light sensor, security system, immobilizer, 16-inch steel wheels and more.

Modern business sedans are equipped with the best engines and "automatic machines", have enviable dynamics and excellent smoothness, and in addition, they are offered in the "4x4" version, which greatly simplifies the life of a motorist in our unpredictable Russian winters. This review is devoted to modifications with all-wheel drive.

The best is the friend of the good (Teana 250 XV Four) Test Drive

The first car with all-wheel drive appeared on the Russian market of business sedans. Thanks to this, Nissan Teana becomes perhaps the most tempting offer in its segment.

Business partners (Toyota Camry,Nissan Teana,Skoda Superb) Secondary market

What should be a business class car? The basic requirements seem to be obvious: large, powerful, comfortable, well-made, well-equipped, prestigious .. Everything is clear with this. Something else is not entirely clear. Why, for example, despite the fact that almost all business-class sedans fully or almost completely meet the requirements, they have such a different market fate? We tried to make sense of this by taking as examples the three cars "Toyota Camry", "Nissan Teana" and "Skoda Superb". The first of them is a clear minion of fate, an unconditional market favorite, a favorite of the business public. The second middle half has its own stable contingent of users, but nothing more. And finally, the third heavily underestimated option, with a large, but for a number of different reasons, far from realized business potential. But in technical terms, all three of them are worth each other ..

Established nissan teana daytime running lights J32 2008-2014 with turn signal mode. Until now, the popular business sedan is in high demand in the secondary market. He has not lost his attractiveness in his appearance, his design does not look outdated. Technical solutions and driver assistance electronic units were advanced at the time of its release, and remain at the proper level in our time. The only thing that differs from the new generation are the daytime running lights. Running lights Nissan Teana J32 are designed to improve the visibility of the car during daylight hours on public roads. Under Russian law, all vehicles during the daytime must be driven with running lights or dipped headlights. The use of navigation lights significantly reduces the load on the generator (compared to the use of dipped headlights as running devices), and also reduces the accident rate during daylight hours. Thanks to the manufacturers of navigation lights, a regular model of Nissan Teana J32 LED running lights was developed, which are installed in the front of the bumper and meets all the standards for the location and brightness of the Russian Technical Regulations.

The body of running lights Nissan Teana is made of plastic, coated with "Chrome" on the front, completely repeats the original molding of the front bumper. The LED chips of running devices are covered with transparent polycarbonate with diffusers, there is protection against overheating and incorrect connection. Running modules emit pure, powerful white light (color temperature 5500 K) in DRL mode. When the direction indicator is turned on, orange LEDs on the running modules light up and blink in time with the main direction indicators.

Installation and connection of running LED lights does not cause difficulties. You can install the running modules yourself according to the instructions included in the delivery set or you should contact a qualified car electrician of a specialized car service.

Upon shipment, the set of running devices is packed in a cardboard box or air bubble film, which prevents damage during transportation.

Installation of running LED modules is carried out in regular bumper seats, instead of the original molding without modifications. The housing of navigation lights is equipped with latches for installation and fastening. When installing navigation light modules, no changes to the vehicle design are required. The electronic control unit regulates the operation of running accessories, there is the possibility of disabling the DRL mode when the dipped headlights are turned on.

Scope of delivery: LED running lights Nissan Teana 2 (right and left module), control unit, wiring, connection instructions.

Country of manufacture: China.

Warranty: 6 months.

You can buy daytime running LED lights Nissan Teana J32 with delivery in Russia both with cash on delivery (payment upon receipt) and with 100% prepayment (in this case, a 3% discount).

Motorists were able to see the second generation Nissan Tiana on the Nissan podium at the Beijing Auto Show in April 2008. The novelty inherits the image of the Nissan Intima concept car. Already in May of the same 2008, sales of the new Nissan Teana J32 started in Japan and Russia. As part of the review, we will try to evaluate all the positive changes that Japanese designers and engineers have made to their offspring.

The appearance of the second generation Nissan Teana echoes its predecessor Teana J31, but Nissan designers managed to rid the novelty of the heaviness and stiffness inherent in the appearance of the first generation model. The front triangular headlights, with their sharp corners directed towards the center, tend to merge with a neat false radiator grille with horizontal chrome strips, and in the opposite direction go sharply to the front fenders.

The front bumper with a lower air duct, foglight rounds and stylish chrome moldings looks light and airy. The profile of the second Nissan Tiana in general terms repeats the image of the previous generation, the same large wheel arches (wheels from 205/65 R16 to 215/55 R17) and doorways, large side windows, a familiar sloping roof line, an abundance of chrome elements. According to the requirements of the time, repeaters of turns appeared in the side mirrors.

The back of the Nissan Teana J32 is monumental. Lighting fixtures with LED lamps fit beautifully and harmoniously into the stern. The rear embossed bumper with chrome moldings looks light and sporty. The large trunk lid looks lean. From any angle, the 2nd generation Nissan Teana is handsome, fresh and sporty. At the same time, the car looks expensive and evokes the idea of a close relationship with Infiniti.
The overall dimensions of the new Nissan Tiana have slightly increased and now they are 4850 mm long, 1795 mm wide, 1495 mm high, the wheelbase has remained the same - 2775 mm. Increased ground clearance up to 150 mm. It would seem that an increase of 15 mm compared to the first generation of Tiana is insignificant, but the body and suspension elements will suffer less on our roads (by the way, protection of components and assemblies has appeared in some places). And later, the Nissan Teana J32 received an All Mode 4 × 4 all-wheel drive system - Nissan Teana J32 4WD. The torsional and bending rigidity of the body has increased, and the already excellent noise and sound insulation of the cabin of the new Teana has improved.

Inside, the 2nd generation Nissan Teana has become truly luxurious. The interior of the second generation Tiana is completely new, from the front dashboard with smooth lines and curves, the Fine Vision dashboard, climate control units and Infinity-style multimedia system, to the seats and door cards.
Filling the cabin is worth it to consider it in as much detail as possible. A laconic dashboard with wooden inserts, on the center console there are: a 7-inch display (monochrome in the base, depending on the price increase, a color VGA or Touch Screen), music from a simple CD MP3 RDS with six speakers to an advanced Bose 5.1 Digital Surround with 11 speakers and a 9.3 GB music server, DVD, Nissan Connect Premium navigator (Russian maps) and a rear view camera, dual-zone climate control. Stylish steering wheel - with a combined finish (wood and leather) and an archaic steering column adjustment only in height, the instruments are informative and readable. The front seats give a royal level of comfort, especially in the top-end configuration (electric drive with position memory, heating, ventilation, massage), and the passenger seat also has an Ottoman seat footrest.
Passengers in the second row are given no less attention, there is enough space in all directions. At the back there are air ducts, heated and ventilated seats (music and climate control in the armrest of the second row - in the expensive Premium configuration). Seat trim velor and, of course, leather of various colors.
The presence of light and rain sensors, electric and heated mirrors, cruise control, power windows, keyless entry and engine start with a button are taken for granted. The selection of materials, the level of assembly and equipment of the new Nissan Teana J32 correspond to the premium segment of the European business class. The trunk volume of the second generation Nissan Tiana has increased in comparison with the luggage compartment of the Teana J31 and is 488 liters, there is a hatch for long loads in the back of the rear seats.

Specifications- for the second generation Nissan Teana, only six-cylinder gasoline engines are now available - VQ25DE V6 2.5 (182 hp) and VQ35DE V6 3.5 (249 hp), paired with an Xtronic-CVT stepless variator. The older V6 3.5 is practically a copy of the engine installed on the Nissan 350Z sports coupe. Front suspension independent with MacPherson struts, rear independent multi-link. Front and rear disc brakes with ABS and EBD, as well as Brake Assist (brake assist) are available as standard, ESP (exchange stability) and TSC (traction control) systems are present in more expensive versions of the Nissan Teana J32. The power steering is electro-hydraulic with variable effort (the force depends on the speed).

Test Drive demonstrates the result of the technical stuffing of the second generation Nissan Teana - its comfortable driving characteristics. The company's engineers changed the characteristics of the suspension, the car began to roll even less in corners, and its behavior became even more predictable, information content on the steering wheel was added. At the same time, Nissan Tiana has not lost its signature softness and complete indifference to poor quality road surfaces. Nissan Teana J32, like its predecessor J31, treats its passengers with care and is able to give them a lot of positive emotions from the trip.
Both motors willingly consume 92nd gasoline. Tandem V6 2.5 (182 hp) with a CVT will suit an economical driver, the average fuel consumption is 9-10 liters. Dynamics to "hundreds" - 9.6 seconds, at a maximum speed of 200 km / h. The motor has enough power, the engine imperceptibly accelerates the car through the variator and at the same time there is almost absolute silence in the cabin.
Sports inclinations V6 3.5 (249 hp) are rushing out, as if the engine wants to work at high speeds all the time, provoking the driver to violate the speed limit. When accelerating to the first “hundred” in 7.2 seconds, the growl of the engine strains, the “maximum speed” reaches 210 km / h (electronically limited), the average fuel consumption declared by the manufacturer is 10.5-11 liters (in real conditions 13-14 liters).

Options and prices. In the Russian market Nissan Teana J32 in 2012 is offered in nine trim levels. The price of the most affordable Nissan Teana in the Elegance 2.5 configuration (182 hp) CVT variator is 999,000 rubles. In a car for that kind of money there will be: a velor interior, Fine Vision devices, a 7-inch monochrome display with a 2 DIN CD MP3 radio, steel wheels with 205/65 R16 tires, an on-board computer, dual-zone climate control, an alarm system, a light sensor, heating front seats and other nice little things.
The top Nissan Teana Premium V6 3.5 (249 hp) with a CVT variator is offered at a price of 1,486,000 rubles. This modification will be stuffed to the eyeballs: there is a leather trim, an electric driver's seat in eight directions, a passenger seat in four with an Ottoman seat stand, heating and ventilation of all seats, a glass roof with a sunroof, dual-zone climate control with a control unit for rear passengers, xenon, 7-inch color touchscreen display with rear view camera and GPS navigator, Bose 5.1 Digital Surround music and much, much more.
For Russian motorists, the second generation Nissan Teana (J32) is produced in St. Petersburg.

The second generation Nissan Teana was introduced in 2008. The model is built on the Nissan D platform, shared with the Nissan Murano and Infiniti JX/QX60. For the Russian market, the car was made in Japan. In the summer of 2009, assembly began in Russia - in St. Petersburg. In 2011, Teana experienced a restyling. The changes affected the interior and taillights. In 2014, there was a generational change.

Nissan Teana looks bigger and more solid than it actually is, also due to the large number of chrome parts in the exterior design. True, reversing can sometimes cause some difficulties. Parking sensors are not provided here, and the rear view camera is easily dirty.

Salon at Teana is done to the conscience and, in addition, quite wide, even by the standards of a business class. The standard audio system is equipped with excellent Bose speakers. Noise isolation is made at a decent level.

Miscalculations in the interior relate only to ergonomics. The steering wheel is not adjustable for reach, and the driver's seat has height adjustment only in rich trim levels, not to mention lumbar support. The buttons for controlling the heated front seats hidden in the armrest are also a very controversial decision.

The basic version of the sedan was equipped with ABS, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, full power accessories, a multifunctional on-board computer, a radio with a CD changer and AUX output, four airbags, a burglar alarm and an “Intelligent Key” keyless entry system. In the top versions there is xenon, leather interior and navigation.

Engines

Nissan Teana was equipped with three gasoline aspirated. Two of them had a volume of 2.5 liters, but differed in the block design. QR25DE (167 hp) was a straight-four, and VQ25DE (182-185 hp) was a V-shaped six. The flagship 3.5-liter V6, designated VQ35DE, developed 249 hp.

All motors demonstrate exemplary reliability without showing weaknesses. The gas distribution mechanism is driven by a chain, which, as a rule, does not require attention.

Variable speed drive

Paired with engines, a Jatco CVT works: with 2.5 liters - JF011E, and with 3.5 liters - JF010E. The variator is very capricious and needs regular oil updates - at least once every 50-60 thousand km. There are cases when careful operation, coupled with regular maintenance, made it possible to drive almost 400,000 km before the first repair.

However, after 150,000 km, the likelihood of CVT failure increases significantly. A harbinger of trouble will be jerks, jerks, or twitches. Weak points are the belt, solenoids, valve body and oil pump pressure reducing valve. The differential and bearings can fail. For repairs, you will have to stock up on an impressive amount - from 60 to 100 thousand rubles. It is worth noting that the variator of models with a 3.5-liter engine is much more durable, and, as a rule, arrives for repairs much later.

Transmission

There are also all-wheel drive models on the market, which were equipped with a 4-cylinder QR25DE engine and a CVT. The proprietary all-wheel drive system “All Mode 4x4” under normal conditions transfers most of the traction to the front wheels. The rear wheels are connected by electronic command. For special cases, a mode of forced blocking of the interaxle clutch is provided, when the thrust is distributed along the axes in a ratio of 50:50.

Serious problems with the transmission have not yet been encountered. Unless, rare cases of system failures due to damage to the protective corrugation of the electrical harness, and subsequent moisture ingress.

Chassis

Suspension Nissan Tiana has a high smoothness. MacPherson struts at the front and a multi-link setup at the rear filter out road bumps well. True, the soft suspension settings make the body roll heavily in corners.

The front suspension is not durable. Wheel bearings are the first to be handed over - after 60-100 thousand km. They change in assembly with the hub. The cost of the original is about 9,000 rubles, and the analogue is about 6,000 rubles. Rear wheel bearings run longer - more than 150-200 thousand km.

The resource of the front shock absorbers is about 100-150 thousand km. The rear racks last a little longer. A new original shock absorber will cost 15,000 rubles, an analogue is available from 3,000 rubles. Rear racks are cheaper - 5,000 and from 1,500 rubles. respectively.

Next, the front suspension arms may be asked - the silent blocks wear out. The cost of a new lever is about 10,000 rubles. The rear suspension arms are much more durable.

After 50-100 thousand km, the rear springs noticeably lose their former elasticity, and the feed sags. The disadvantage significantly reduces the already low ground clearance. New springs don't last long. Many people try to eliminate the flaw by installing spacers.

On some instances, the destruction of the rear anti-roll bar was encountered. The new stabilizer is available only in the original for 8,000 rubles.

The steering rack may leak or knock after 100-150 thousand km. A knock can also be emitted by a cross at the bottom of the steering shaft. The original is available only assembled with a shaft - about 15,000 rubles. But an option is possible with the replacement of the cross, the cost of which is only 300 rubles.

Sometimes, after 60-120 thousand km, the power steering pump began to drive oil. More often the disease occurred in winter. The cost of the original pump is 24,000 rubles, the analogue is 8,000 rubles. The high pressure hose may also be leaking.

Other problems and malfunctions

The body is not prone to corrosion, however, with the elimination of chips it is better not to pull. The paintwork is not very good quality. Often (after 2-3 years) swelling of the paint on the hood and trunk was observed. The owners were forced to repaint damaged items under warranty or at their own expense. Sometimes the chrome-plated exterior trim elements quickly deteriorated.

Over time, the front panel begins to creak in the cabin, and sometimes other interior details. Despite a decent appearance, the leather upholstery of the seats, steering wheel and gear selector is not durable. Scuffs may appear after 30-70 thousand km.

Some owners complain about the longitudinal play of the driver's seat - the rubber gasket wears out, or the gears in the seat drive break.

The heater fan motor is located before the filter. As a result, debris gets on it, and it starts to make a loud noise. To make the noise disappear, it is enough to take out the motor and remove all the debris: leaves and needles, and sometimes it is not clear where a piece of sealant has fallen out.

The motor drive of one of the dampers of the air conditioning system can also make extraneous sounds. It starts buzzing or grinding. Lubricating the motor does not always help. More often than not, it is already worn out. The manufacturer provides for the replacement of the drive unit assembly - about 5,000 rubles. However, you can find a new motor (up to 1000 rubles) and replace only it.

Conclusion

The second generation Nissan Teana once again demonstrates good reliability. There are only two weak points: the front suspension and the CVT. After the purchase, do not forget to refresh the oil in the transmission and set aside 60,000 rubles for its possible repair.
