Three years and six months later on my KIA Rio 2012 I have traveled 100,000 km a year. For this not a small mileage, I have developed definite opinion regarding this machine. I bought my RIO in the summer of 2012, complete with 'comfort', at that time it cost 519 thousand rubles, it was my first car from the salon. In this article, I will tell you the positive and negative sides of this car, how much it cost me to maintain my KIA over these three and a half years, and what remains to be done.

How much does maintenance and maintenance of KIA Rio 3 cost per 100 t.km. run.

1.Regular maintenance, as we remember, pass every 15 tons or 12 months (whichever comes first). During this time, I passed MOT 6 times, each of which I passed at official dealers. To save money, I bought consumables for THEN in stores, though always original, and even then the difference was 2000-3000 rubles. And so let's calculate:

2. Additional work. I did some work not at OD, since the price tag there is very inhumane.
- Every 15 thousand kilometers I do it myself and (it just can not be bought original). It took about 4,500 rubles.
— I had to change the front pads twice and the rear ones once, it all took about 12 thousand rubles together with the work.
— Wipers, bought hybrid and was satisfied. It took 2,500 rubles, I changed it twice.
- and other trifles cost another 2,000 rubles.
Total - 21 thousand rubles.

3. Rubber and wheels. It is always a pleasure to drive on new tires, while owning a car, I bought:
- a set with stamped discs -20 thousand rubles.
— Two years later I bought two more wheels — 8 thousand rubles.
- two - 8 thousand rubles.
Total - 36 thousand rubles.

Final amount in 99 917 rubles it turned out not small, even though I did not include CASCO and OSAGO insurance, taxes here. I didn’t specifically include this in the amount, the prices for insurance and taxes vary greatly by region, depend on the length of service and much more, so they can differ by multiples.

Upcoming renovation.

Very soon the clutch will have to be replaced, it is already felt that it is starting to slip. They say at Kia RIO it is coming to be replaced already by 80 t.km.
Suspension, already after 10-20 tons. Km, the same will come close to replacement, although a mileage of 100 tons. Km is already more than we would like.
The windshield, since I travel a lot around the Ring Road, a lot of small chips appeared on the glass, it interferes greatly in the sun.

What I liked about Kia Rio 3.

I will not talk about the advantages of the configuration, there are many of them, while the price for the car is very reasonable.

- Among classmates, almost the cheapest is that.
- Spare parts are easy to find, always in stock, the price of the original is very affordable.
- Good paintwork, for all the time only a small piece of varnish chipped off on the wing, otherwise there are no complaints.
- The car is reliable, there have never been any problems on the road, it starts at minus 30 with half a turn, although the batteries have been for three years.
- Engine 1.6 is economical, consumption on the highway is about 6 liters at a speed of 110 km / h.
- Comfortable seats, the back does not get tired on long trains.

- The motor is not picky about fuel, it runs great on 92 gasoline, it can survive refueling with bad gasoline.
— There are fastenings.
- The suspension is very successful, with a run of 100,000 km it does not require replacement and is in good condition.

What I'm not happy with in Kia Rio 3.

— The wide front pillar greatly interferes with the review.
— Mirrors and front windows in wet weather, at speed, after 10 minutes throws mud.
- RIO does not like the track very much, he constantly wants to jump out of it.
- Windage, strong wind affects the behavior of the machine.
- On a slippery road, the rear axle constantly throws up, this is a victim of a more comfortable rear suspension (rear shock absorbers are moved away from the wheel axle).
- In the rain, the windows constantly sweat, it is treated by turning on the air conditioner, which is not reflected in the best way on fuel consumption.
- In winter, a wet trunk lid, a lot of condensate spoils the upholstery of the trunk, I could not defeat this problem.
— There is no heated windshield.
