Generic Ford Focus II Wagon

The “universal” Ford Focus of the 2nd generation celebrated its world premiere in September 2004 at the international exhibition in Paris, and three years later a restyled version of the model debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The life cycle of the station wagon continued until 2011, after which it was replaced by a third-generation car.

The body of the "second" Ford Focus Wagon is decorated in the same style as the sedan, called "kinetic design". The layout of the front part repeats the three-volume model in everything, and the main changes are in the back.

No matter how absurd it may sound, but the station wagon has a sporty image, tailored due to the roof falling to the stern, the rear pillar slightly tilted forward and embossed wheel arches. The rear part is distinguished by a large rectangular tailgate, vertically elongated lanterns and a compact bumper.

The station wagon is 4472 mm long, 1501 mm high, 1840 mm wide, which means that it is 16 mm shorter and 4 mm higher than the sedan of the same name, but the wheelbase and ground clearance are the same - 2640 mm and 155 mm respectively.
The monocab is somewhat heavier than other members of the family - from 1277 to 1391 kg in running order.

The interior of the Focus Wagon 2nd generation exactly repeats the interior of the sedan car. It has an attractive design, high ergonomics, high-quality finishing materials and a level of assembly, comfortable front seats with wide adjustment options and a rear sofa with an optimal profile and a sufficient supply of space on all fronts.

The luggage compartment of the station wagon has 475 liters of usable volume, the correct shape with smooth walls and a small loading height. The rear sofa is transformed flush with the floor, as a result of which its capacity more than triples - up to 1525 liters, and the length of the platform - up to 1669 mm. A full-size spare wheel is stowed in a niche under the floor.

Specifications. The “second” Ford Focus Wagon was equipped with five gasoline engines with four cylinders in a row and electronic injection. With a working volume of 1.4 to 2.0 liters, their output is from 80 to 145 “horses” of power and from 127 to 190 Nm of peak thrust. At the disposal of the 1.8-liter turbodiesel 115 forces and 300 Nm of torque.
The initial unit relied only on a 5-speed “mechanics”, the rest also had a 4-speed “automatic”.
Other technical parameters, namely the platform, suspension layout, steering and braking system are identical to those on the sedan.

The appetite of the "universal Focus" is the same as on the three-volume model, although in acceleration dynamics, depending on the modification, it is inferior from 0.1 to 0.3 seconds, and at top speed - from 2 to 17 km / h.

Prices. The secondary market in Russia offers a lot of used Ford Focus 2 station wagons, for which in 2015, on average, they ask from 200,000 to 430,000 rubles. Although for some copies they ask for more than half a million rubles, but this is for the most recent cars in the "top" trim levels.
