With the same engine, but with all-wheel drive and an automatic transmission, Ford Kuga 2013 has the following specifications: acceleration to hundreds - 10.7 seconds; electronically limited maximum speed - 192 km / h; fuel consumption when driving around the city - 10.2 liters per 100 kilometers, on the highway - 6.3 liters;
  • The 182-horsepower 1.6-liter engine has a maximum torque of 240 Nm and provides acceleration to hundreds in 9.7 seconds, and the maximum speed that it allows to develop is 200 km / h. Fuel consumption in a metropolis reaches 10.2 liters per 100 kilometers, and outside it drops to 6.3 liters.

Diesel engines belong to the Duratorq TDCi proprietary family of turbocharged engines:

  • The 140-horsepower 2.0-liter power unit develops a maximum torque of 320 Nm and allows you to reach speeds of up to 187 km / h, providing acceleration to hundreds in 11.2 seconds. Fuel consumption when driving around the city is 7.3 liters per 100 kilometers, on the highway - 5.5 liters per 100 kilometers;
  • The 163-horsepower 2.0-liter engine has a maximum torque of 340 Nm and accelerates the 2013 Ford Kuga crossover to 100 km/h in 10.4 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 196 km/h. All data is analyzed a hundred times every second, and in the event that the trajectory of movement is incorrect, Curve Control begins to correct it by braking each of the wheels individually, applying different braking forces to them. When entering a corner at too high a speed, this system is capable of dropping approximately 16 km/h every second.

Ford engineers have also worked fruitfully on the issue of reducing road and wind noise, as a result of which the cabin of the second generation Kuga can safely claim to be one of the quietest in its class. This was achieved through the use of a special aerodynamic design of the side mirrors, more rigid door frames, new seals, thicker glass and upgraded chassis components. The special ClimAir deflector also contributes to the elimination of noise and turbulence, which allows you to keep the windows on the front doors open even when it rains.
