The dealer offered mats, crankcase protection, it seemed to me a little expensive, and I refused. "Begged" interior floor mats as a gift. In the market they promised to bring crankcase protection for 2400 rubles in 2 weeks. I was very pleased with the already tinted rear windows, good sound insulation, the door to the bottom, my feet don’t get dirty on the thresholds, the fit is comfortable (my height is 176 cm), comfortable second-row seats (adjustable for tilt and “seats” go back and forth), works very well stove, informative rear-view mirrors, a bunch of drawers under the trunk floor. I can’t write much about the driving characteristics of the Hyundai Santa Fe III yet, as I decided not to drive the car up to 1000 km. Fuel consumption from 13.5 to 15.5 liters in the city, I hope it will decrease in a couple of thousand km. From the "special stages", I bought and already installed a standard head multimedia sensor (Chinese), a TV antenna on the glass, a rear-view camera and parking sensors (they could not be installed, everything is perfectly visible in the camera).

The engine in the cabin does not “mumble”, the suspension behaves with dignity in terms of extraneous sounds, but this is a new car, and it is too early to judge this. Acceleration to “hundreds” was 11.6 s., And this was on an unrun-in engine (I was not driving, but I confess - my idea), there were 3 people in the car, two 100 each and one 65. The test car gets. Computer consumption 16.8 at the beginning of the test and one tenth less at the end. But here I make allowances for long idling and illogical driving (brake, gas) of many "drivers". In reality, I think it will be less, and the running will make itself felt.

The information content of the displays, both instrumental and multimedia, is rather poor. I really love how it accelerates. I like that I can safely transport 3-meter sheets of “lining”, for example. Naturally, the service did not reveal any reasons, which I did not doubt, although when I received the car they said that the consumption was too big, but it's okay, as long as the car is under warranty. I'll see what happens next.
  2. With a large suspension travel, a creak appeared on the right in the rear suspension, they also did not find anything criminal, they have the same principle: a good creak (knock) will come out, then come.

The final price of TO-1 was 11,700 rubles. (did not change the cabin filter).

For six months of operation, the car has never failed, only brought positive emotions. I traveled far to the Orenburg region. (1300km one way) in mid-January 2011. The road was different: both ice, and dry, and in some places covered with snow, and besides, the Moscow-Chelyabinsk highway was heavily overloaded with trucks in both directions, so we had to overtake very often, thanks to good dynamics (10 seconds to 100) it was, but of course with road correction. It was warm and comfortable in the car all the way, the windows did not sweat (t was from -3 to -18). By the end of the 17 hour journey, of course, I was tired, but neither my back nor my butt hurt. The consumption was 7.5 liters per 100 km, and the average consumption in the region was 10 liters per 100 km, and even the prime minister worked - the solarium began to get cheaper. A trifle, but nice.

In this snowy winter, all-wheel drive came in handy more than ever. Never had a problem driving on snowy, unpaved country roads.

After much torment (I didn’t find a single review on the Internet about this model, that’s why I decided to write this review, maybe it will help someone decide on a car choice) the choice fell on Hyundai new l / f 2010 for the following reasons:

The suspension for me is a bit harsh on asphalt, but comfortable on rough terrain, although the short-stroke suspension spoils the impression, there are often breakdowns.

It is difficult to say unequivocally what it depends on ... Whether it is the increased ash content of low-quality fuel, or the wrong additives, but the fact remains: about every fifth car that comes to the service with a burning “check engine” gets to replace the high-pressure fuel pump. This pleasure is expensive - along with the work, a malfunction will cost at least 50,000 rubles, and in fact, the nozzles also suffer, because the chips clog them too. Moreover, it is pointless to change the plunger pair, it's not just about her. Injectors ‑  are the next most expensive but not the most common problem. They are piezoelectric, very fast and accurate, but will not tolerate dirty fuel. Even if everything is in order with the high-pressure fuel pump, you can get to replace the injectors using the services of unscrupulous tankers. Each costs about 30,000 for OEMs and about 15,000 for "packers". Such injectors are not subject to repair. The timing drive is very reliable and, on most diesel cars sold on the secondary market, it is just about to be replaced. And increased noise indicates elementary mechanical wear of dampers and rollers. The kit is inexpensive, you can find it for 12,000 rubles. Rarely, but it happens that it pierces the head gasket. The cost of repairs is extremely individual, but you should not count on less than 30,000 rubles. If you have to change the head, then 130,000 rubles will be asked for the original assembly. The turbine regularly nurses its resource of 250,000 km only for those owners who were in no hurry to turn off the engine after high speeds and did not press the pedal to the floor on a cold engine.
