The process of making homemade:

Step one. Reducer
The working shaft of the chainsaw engine develops huge revolutions, but we do not need them, they need to be turned into lower revolutions with high torque. Next, we need a small sprocket from the rear wheel, it needs to be welded to the part of the axle where there is no sprocket. Step three. Engine installation
We proceed to install the engine, and we will install it on the rear trunk. Of course, one trunk cannot cope with the loads set, so we additionally strengthen the structure with profile pipes.

We install a chain on the bike that connects the gasoline engine and the rear wheel. Here the author had a problem, since the sprockets were welded crookedly, the chain constantly flew off, and the chain turned out to be long. To solve the problem, the author made two dampers in the form of pieces of a profile pipe. A chain tensioner was also made from a pulley from a generator, a profile pipe and a spring. After that, the chain stopped flying.













The author's engine is modernized, a carburetor from a scooter is installed on it. Thanks to this carburetor, the engine starts easier and runs faster. At the end of the engine installation, you will need to install the gas tank in a convenient place.

Step four. Throttle handle
We install a throttle handle on the steering wheel, you can buy one at a store that sells motorcycle parts. We run the cable along the frame and connect it to the carburetor throttle. After that, the homemade product is ready, you can test it.

Step one. Frame manufacturing

Step three. wheels
We install wheels on the frame, they must be equipped with disc brakes, it is better if both wheels slow down. We need to install a driven sprocket on the rear wheel. To solve the problem, the author simply welded a motorcycle sprocket to the rear bicycle sprocket. The main thing here is to do everything right. As for the carriage, it can be welded, the scooter will already be equipped with a centrifugal clutch and will be able to coast.




Step four. Motor stand and work axle
The engine, that is, the chainsaw, must be securely fixed; the author used thick sheet steel as the basis. And so that the motor can be installed at a certain height, we simply weld a piece of a profile pipe perpendicular to the frame. Please note that the higher the center of gravity, the lower the stability of the scooter.
























A working axle is also installed on the frame for the chainsaw, which transmits torque from the engine to the rear wheel. The author turned the axis himself on a lathe, for the axis you will need bearings in housings. We weld an asterisk from a motorcycle to one side of the axle, it will transmit torque to the wheel. We weld the "plate" of the centrifugal clutch from the chainsaw to the other side.

Step five. Assembly, painting and testing
We install the engine in its place, securely fasten it with screws to the bed. Install the axle, bearings and chain. Be sure to install the brake, the author only slows down the front wheel. In general, the weight of the scooter is large and even with sudden braking it should not tip over.
